I, then, used the spell required to open up the portal.

“Spirits of the world, the air-spirits, I call one of thee to help me be. So mote it be!” (Dunno what that means, lol.)

Just after saying that, a small circular portal of white and blue lights appeared in the space near me. And from it were violent gales blowing out. Definitely one could know from these gales that it was meant for the summoning of a wind-type spirit beast. But that wasn’t what it mattered to me. I needed to see what kind of beast I had called.

I wondered if it was a bird, or a boar, or a pegasus-like horse, or what-not. I had ideas of what could come out of that portal for now, but wasn't sure if it would be like my assumptions.

The gales grew stronger, nearly blowing me away! Could it be that... could it be that my luck had reached the heavens that I had called out a air-spirit even more powerful than me?

My mind made more wilder assumptions. Could it be a dragon? Or a dragon-baby? Otherwise a wyvern? Oh no... or could it be a rare Basilik?

The portal disappeared into nothing, shadows returned, and my bullet-train of thoughts got derailed as I stared at the now-arrived creature in front of... me?

What... the..?

Why did I just get a Penguin? A Red-colored Penguin?! How could a Penguin be an air-type beast?

“A Red Penguin?!” I yelled, utterly shocked.

“Don't disrespect me, kid,” the Penguin talked. You got it? The Penguin talked! “Plus, call me Sizux. ‘Red-Penguin’ makes me appear more like a cute birdie, and not a bloody-knight.”

Now, that this Penguin called Sizux, who claimed himself to be a knight, had finished his words, I would like to give you certain information.

Once the beast is summoned, you cannot talk with them nor can they talk with you. At the least, they can JUST understand what you are saying.

This Sizux had not just understood my words, but he also talked back..! Hell, and I wonder what more surprises might have the UPDATE brought to this game. But first, I needed to interrogate this Penguin into giving me additional information, so that I could learn more about this game.

“A-A Knight, you say?? Sir Sizux?” I asked.

“Yes, indeed, I am Sir Sizux,” Sizux replied.

“To whom do you serve?” I asked. I needed to know it.

“I serve to the Almighty Ice Empress, Crimson!” he said.

“... O-kay...thanks for telling me!” I said. Almighty Ice Empress Crimson, I mentally noted the name. I had to do research on it in the internet after I feel like logging out.

“No problem, kiddo,” the Knight said. “Hey! Haven't you called me for something? What’s it that you want me to do?”

“Oh yeah,” I said. “Can you ride, no, take me to Dorga city?”

“Dorga city? It's just a cakewalk!” Sizux said. “Get on me, boy!”

“You're so small... and where will I sit? On your head, sir?” I asked.

“Yep!” Sizux said. “Now get on, or else I am leaving!”

“Don't leave! Please! I am sitting!” I said, as I immediately sat on this head. It felt uncomfortable and funny sitting on another creature's head. Especially, a penguin’s. A penguin’s! I held on Sizux’s neck, not too tightly that I would choke him, not too loosely that I could fly off if he ever takes off. The gales from before... I was damn sure he was a powerful air-spirit beast. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been a knight serving under this Crimson empress.

“Hold tight, boyo!” Sizux said. I was already ready for that, through. “AND HERE WE GO!!!!”

And then I experienced the worse of a roller coaster ride...
