"Mister Crayne, wake up," a sweet female voice called me.
Luring me. Filling me. Waking me.
"Huh?" I open my eyes and look around, "this place?"
I wasn't in my bed, laying on it with my VR set, logged out from my favorite game.
I was laying on ground, near a tree which was giving me shade from the sun's rays.
"Mister Crayne! Let's go back, it's ready!" the same voice said.
I looked around and say a beautiful woman..?! "What??!!!"
Impossible!
She?! Here?! How?!
I remeber giving her my sword for some gold for upgrade, but! But, that was in-game!
HOW?!
What the hell is going on?!
I couldn't just fathom this mess. Instead of being logged out, instead of seeing a 'GAME OVER!' I was still here, standing as I looked at the girl in disbelief.
"Mister, are you alright?" she asked.
I blinked and said while shaking my head, "Never been better."
"Then should we go back, mister Crayne? Your sword is upgraded to level 49," she said as she turned around. "Follow me, sir."
Still, I couldn't belief this. Am I really transmigrated into here? Into the world of Eldira?
But-but this was impossible! It killed any logic that was inside my head!
Unbelieveable!
But needless, I followed the girl into the town of Peltgro.
I passed by men and women and children and low-lying buildings, and finally reached a building which had a sign-board hanging on it with large words written on it: "UPGRADE SPECIALIST SARAH. Can upgrade anything!"
I entered the building with Sarah, the girl, and got into a room.
"Sir, here is your sword," Sarah brought a broadsword to me with patterns on it.

The Iceblade.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
Before I started playing on New Game plus, this used to be my favorite sword through which I used slash through countless enemies.
And I couldn't believe that I could feel its sharpness, its coldness, its lethality.
It was new.
Could it be that the developers had updated the 'Rise of the Gods' instead of deactiving it? Yes! That must be the reason why I hadn't logged out and instead am here and could experience new things like the feelings that Iceblade was emitting just now...
"Thanks for the Upgradation, Sarah," I said. I never had I ever told thanks to a NPC (Non-Playable Character). They just did their works, while saying their repetive dialogs assigned by the developers.
But Sarah, she had come to me and had said something new, something different.
"-mister Crayne...-" she had said.
Hmm... This really must be just an update, after all. Not transmigration.
"That was nothing sir," Sarah said, looking completely flattered by my words. Well, this was new. Indeed an update! Those developers must have kept that deactivation annoncement as a joke! This new update must be a surprise then!
I laughed. I laughed thinking that what a funny joke that deactivation-act was! But needless to say, with this update, the developers might be able to compete with the rivaling VR games, especially VRMMORPGs, and 'Rise of the Gods' might be able to soar new heights and may become Number 1 all over again? My answer? A goddamn big YES!
"Sir, why are you laughing?" Sarah asked me. I stopped laughing like a wicked witch and cleared my throat.
"Because I 'was' happy!" I said.
"For the upgrade?" she asked. Well, not for the upgrade, but needless...
"Yes, yes. For the upgrade," I answered.
"Thank you for liking our services, sir!" she said, blushing. Now that was new too.
"Now, I shall take my leave," I said. I was eager to know what more changes and additions did the update bring...
