“How did you do in the test?” Venkat asked as they ate lunch together.

Now Aditya and Venkat are the only ones at the table. Suraj and Sanjay are already done with their lunch while they were delayed due to the test.

“I did great. It is not that tough.”

“Really? I don’t know if I will pass.”

“I am pretty sure you will. You were good with this stuff, when we studied. There is no reason for you to badly.”

“I guess so. Anyway, we don’t have any classes this afternoon, what do we do? Should we wait here in the campus?”

“I am thinking of roaming around in the campus for a bit. When do we get the result out for the test?”

“In two hours maybe. They will pin it on the SAE shed’s notice board. I asked the students who took the tests earlier. If we are on the list there is an interview which we can attend after the class hours everyday until the recruitment is over. In fact, even though tomorrow is Sunday, the club members will come and take interviews.”

“That is great. We can check the board later and if we are selected, we can go to the interview tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

With that they finished their meal and started roaming around the campus. All this while, they barely got out of the Mechanical Engineering department. Even the college cafeteria is very close to them.

That afternoon, they decided to go to other departments and just look around.

Of course, both of them are doing this for completely different reasons.

Venkat just wanted to look around in pure curiosity, but Aditya wanted to look around so that he could get a glimpse of all the possible pests that are living in the compound. So that he could be more prepared for the further rounds.

He doesn’t know if he could use the same spot again and again as the venue for the rounds.

But he figured it would be better for him to get to know some spots in the surroundings so that they could come in handy.

They came to the administrative block which has a small garden. In that garden there is a big rabbit pen with around a dozen rabbits inside.

At that moment, a lecturer is feeding some cabbage to the rabbits through different access points in the pen.

“I heard that he is the professor that worked in this university for over three decades, he is the one that made this rabbit pen happen.

It is actually made by our department students at that time. When the administration didn’t agree, he even offered up his raise to make them agree, but eventually they agreed without reducing his raise.”

Venkat said from the side.

“Why on earth do you know of this?”

“My dad asked this when we came to the university the first time.”

They walked a little further they noticed another garden, but this time it is a flower garden. There are a lot of flowers properly planted. It seems like they are well taken care of.

This is the Computer Science Department Block. This is the most beautiful block in the whole campus, with a water fountain in the middle and gardens all four sides with a lot of flowers growing here and there.

[What a beautiful garden. They must have put in a lot of effort.] Ram appeared beside Aditya. Aditya who couldn’t reply directly could only nod his head in agreement.

“The gardening club takes care of this.

I heard there is a vegetable garden behind this block. All organic with no synthetic and chemical pesticides and fertilizers.”

“A vegetable garden in an Engineering College? That is something to see.”

Aditya said as they both walked over to take a look and they couldn’t help but smile when they looked at it.

There is a metal fence around the garden and it was rigged with electricity. There is only one gate and even that has some makeshift electronic lock which looked extremely ugly. But it is the DIY from the students of the college.

Aditya is really impressed by the effort they put in. This is clearly to protect their yield from other students, lecturers or even other workers.

“Would we also see some barn or something?”

“No, we wouldn’t.”

They walked away and looked through other blocks, electronics, electrical engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology.

Every place has some garden area which was taken care of by the Gardening club members. Only the mechanical engineering block is devoid of such a proper garden.

After they roamed around, they went to the cafeteria to get some snacks and sat in the area behind the university. It is full of trees and has several park benches and such for letting students sit.

But in the short time they spent there, they understood that the area seemed to be preferred by the couples who are looking for some lone time.

They still sat there for some time and after successfully wasting the two hours, they went to the SAE shed.

On the noticeboard the results were pinned.

Aditya looked at the list and was not surprised to find his name at all and Venkat was overjoyed when he found his own name.

“So, what do you want to do now? Shall we stay here and take the interview in the evening or should we come tomorrow?” Aditya asked.

“I think it is better to go right now. I would like to prepare a bit. I am not confident about the interview. I think it is better to take it tomorrow morning.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. You can take it if you want though. I have no problem with that.”

“There is no need we can take the test together tomorrow.”

With that, both of them went back to their dorms and Aditya started entering all the new details he got into his notebook.

He finally got the time to look through the chat section once again it blew up.

The ranking dynamic changed a lot, but his jump is way too high. He almost jumped sixty ranks above and granted that most of it is luck and his meticulous planning, he still felt like it is way too much of a jump in a single round.
