Aditya controlled his speed properly, but as he reached a certain distance, all of a sudden he felt his body going heavier.
At the same time, the scorpion became faster. It almost caught up to him. But he increased his running speed and started sprinting.
[Don’t run too fast. You will exhaust yourself.]
Ram shouted from the side.
“Why the hell do I feel this heavy all of a sudden?”
[The gravity. It increased.]
“Then why the hell did the scorpion’s speed increase then?”
[Well, the gravity doesn’t apply to it. And its speed didn’t increase, it has the same speed as before. That is just your perception.]
“What else am I going to get in my perception?”
[The upcoming Elevation, maybe.]
As soon as he finished saying, Aditya felt like he is climbing a slope up. He looked at the scorpion to see if it is feeling any form of resistance from this, but to his dismay it doesn’t. But he on the other hand, couldn’t run properly as the sand under his feet is slipping and as he ran more and more, the slope got steeper.
After half an hour, as he gritted his teeth and put more effort, the sand under his foot suddenly slipped a lot more that it did before.
His foot was stuck and he couldn’t get it out no matter what. As he tried to get it out, the scorpion already made its move. The stinger came at him from the rear and hit him in the back.
“FUCK”
Aditya cursed and lost his consciousness instantly before his body disappeared.
He arrived back in the washroom as he panted heavily.
“Fuck, is this why you said, I would recover faster? Because there is little chance I would be able to do anything at all.”
[What do you mean, you didn’t do anything at all? Did you see the ranking list? Only five people went past twenty minutes and only one of them made past thirty and with you, it is two.
You don’t know anything. You are reading the chatroom, but not enough. The endurance AIP is the least desirable of all of them. Because it is the toughest.]
Stolen story; please report.
“But what is the point of this, I wouldn’t get any points for this.”
[Check the Attributes before you say that.]
[ATTRIBUTES
STRENGTH: 18.5
DEXTERITY: 16
ENDURANCE: 15
INTELLIGENCE: 13
WISDOM: 10]
Aditya was surprised. His endurance attribute has increased by half a point.
“We can go half points too?”
[Only for Endurance. It is hardest as well as the easiest attribute to increase.
You can increase the Endurance attribute when you use any AIP related to physical attributes. You can use the Strength AIP to increase the Endurance, but you will get half a point endurance for every three points of Strength.
The same for Dexterity. This makes it kind of easy as you don’t have to particularly focus on it.
But if you focus on it, like you did just now, it would be hard to gain results, but once you get a hang of it, you will gain more. And the more Endurance you have, the better you can perform in other AIPs as well as the rounds.]
“Whatever that is, we have to wait to find out. I am fucking exhausted and not ready to do another one.”
He went back to sleep.
The next day, Aditya was extremely anxious throughout the class once again. He has to wait until night and since the SAE trials are still going on, he doesn’t have to worry about not being able to find the spot.
He wanted to see if he could use the same spot again and again. So, this round will be an experiment as well.
That evening, he went to the SAE shed once again and looked at the people going full force ahead.
He also saw Manasa there.
“Hi, I didn’t expect to see you here.”
She came to him and talked.
“Well, I like this atmosphere.”
“Then that would be great. Evening shifts are not really liked here, since you like it, you are about to get a load of things on your shoulders.”
“I don’t mind. The atmosphere in the campus is good. But there are just too many people now.”
“There won’t be as many after a while. You don’t have to worry about that.” Manasa said.
“So, what system are you interested in the vehicle? Suspension? Transmission?”
“I like steering and transmission. It is a tie. You?”
“I like Transmission. I found it very fascinating.”
…
Just like that, they started making small talk and time slowly started passing. When it is only a few minutes from the time, Aditya finally took a deep breath and said.
“I need to use the washroom, I will be right back.”
“Okay.”
With that he walked towards the same carpentry door and stood there.
He looked at the digital timer in the interface and counted along with it.
“5
4
3
2
1.”
The whole thing turned gray and soon a screen appeared in front of him.
He is waiting for the introduction of the round which also gives the objectives, but something else happened.
[PLAYER IS STANDING IN THE SAME AREA AS THE ROUND 2.
SEARCHING FOR THE NEAREST AREA THAT IS SUITABLE.
AREA FOUND. NO PENALTY NEEDED.]
With that, he disappeared from the spot and reappeared in the Administrative block, where the rabbits are caged.
He looked around in horror and once again the screen appeared.
[ ROUND 3: College Campus(2)
Objective: Survive for fifteen minutes.
Tip 1: Try your best to not get injured. Player will feel the pain in real time after the round is over.
Tip 2: Try not to die. Player will be died of Brain stroke due to natural causes if he dies in the round.
Tip 3: More than one type of creature is selected to be the enemy for the Player, so the player should act wisely and choose the suitable opponent.]
The screen disappeared and Aditya looked at the Rabbit cage not so far away from him in horror.
