About Freestyle:
One day out of the blue, Oneleaf Tree, an unheard of company, shocked the world by revealing that after extensive research; they developed the first virtual reality game. Gameplay adapted to the individual player, opens thousands of possibilities for ways to enjoy the game. No classes exist. Concepts are meant to be broken so that the player can gain wings and become who they want to be. Nothing stops a player from making their own path. You play the game Freestyle.
In between each chapter, a smaller chapter will be posted. These will be the 'lore' of the world and will be labeled as such. So you can skip them if that's not your thing, but you're missing out on background information. Also there might be chapters labeled .5 whatever which just shows they're an in between chapter or extra.
I will hopefully post at least one chapter a day. Fingers crossed. Don't hold me to this okay? I've written a bit of the beginning already so I should be able to do it for a little while but......................yeah.....................I'll try. I'm a well known offender for procrastinating. Note being, I've had this story planned out for more than a year and only started writing it last month. But that just means there's a lot of content! Stay positive! In a good way!
Accessories:
In order to better the playing experience, out of game accessories are available to be bought. A pair of glasses that when worn allow the wearer to find items and fight monsters as they walk about their everyday life. As well as a phone app where you raise an assistance pixie to help fight with you in game and locate hidden objects.
Dive Options:
Users can choose between the helmet model or pod game units for diving options. Each has their own benefits which fight their costs. The pods can better take care of the players body making it so they can play for longer periods of time. During gameplay it also sends electric shockwaves in order to simulate movement causing the user to 'workout' without really moving. The helmet on the other hand is more cost effective, meaning it's cheaper. The helmet due to its smaller size also has better mobility so you can play anywhere unlike the bulky pod.
Each pod and helmet also has different options. By paying more the user can raise the amount of realism and pain level available in their gameplay. For customization more money can be paid to add more options. Or just to make a helmet the starry night sky instead of a boring black. The cost all depends on the level of difficulty of change. A paint job is only $5 for color and $10 for a print.
Elements:
Freestyle has a total twelve basic elements that either complement our oppose each other depending on the user's proficiency in the basic element. Once the player had enough control, elements can even be fused together to create new or unknown elements. At the beginning, the basic twelve are the only ones available though.
* Fire
* Lightning
* Metal
* Water
* Wind
* Wood
* Darkness
* Light
* Earth
* Moon
* Sun
* Life
Godbeasts:
Each element has a beast of such power, they can only be called gods. The races tend to worship the Godbeast of their main element as their very own god. The sole exception being the God of life as it created the beings living on the planes.
* Magma Wyrm
* Thunder-Roc
* Ironback Frog
* Slimlined Viper
* Ivy-Turtle
* Bladetipped Falcon
* Red-eyed Bat
* Razored Glowfly
* Steeltusked Boar
* Frostedge Mountainfox
* Goldflamed Lion
* Medley Tree
*This list corresponds with the elemental list. An example of this being the Bladetipped Falcon lines up with the element of wind.
**As there are multiple planes and worlds there are more Godbeasts that exist. The twelve listed are the most powerful of them all though.
Job vs. Class:
While 'classes' don't exist in Freestyle, something with similar options dots exist. These see known as jobs. Having a job means the player work for an employer and get bonuses to skills and stats for working for them. The player then must complete tasks in order to stay employed and get a pay. It is possible to take on multiple jobs, but the user should keep in mind that they must keep all of their empowers happy. If even one is dissatisfied, the player may lose all of their jobs.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
Main Races:
As with the races, Freestyle only offers up to twelve basic races at the startup. Each race has their proficiency in crafts and elemental disposition. Sub races are also offered up though. So if one wants to be an elf but don't want to be of moon element, one can choose a sub race with their preferred element. Doing so results in a weaker base proficiency than if one went with moon thigh. The player will also still be of their race's main element, so in the elf example, the player would be of both moon and the chosen race.
* Angels ( Light )
* Beastmen ( Water )
* Demons ( Darkness )
* Divine Beasts ( Lightning )
* Dwarves ( Metal )
* Elementals ( Life )
* Elves ( Moon )
* Fairies ( Wind )
* Gnomes ( Wood )
* Humans ( Sun )
* Orcs ( Fire )
* Undead ( Earth )
*These are only the most basic races. More races are available, they just must be discovered or created.
Ranking:
By leveling, the player is given a ranking. This ranking decides whether they can buy land or create guilds and such. The higher the ranking, the more land available for buying or power the guild can have. If the player has no such case for such things, going up a tank just means they broke through a level. Each leap of rank though becomes increasingly harder and harder so finding someone of the highest rank is next to impossible. Also due to strength being valued in the world the 'NPCs' also follow this ranking system. Sometimes you'll find one out of place though, like a commoner as strong as a king while a prince is only knight level. Generally 'NPCs' will also follow this pattern.
* Commoner: Level 1 - Level 10
* Esquire: Level 11 - Level 20
* Knight: Level 21 - Level 30
* Baron: Level 31 - Level 40
* Earl: Level 41 - Level 60
* Viceroy: Level 61 - Level 80
* Archduke: Level 81 - Level 100
* Prince/Princess: Level 101 - Level 125
* King/Queen: Level 126 - Level 150
* High King/Queen: Level 151 - Level 175
* Emperor/Empress: Level 176 - Level 200
* Divine : Level 200+

System Assist:
Due to not everyone being able to throw a dagger and have it hit a target twenty meters out, system assist is an option for the less fortunate. System assist works by guiding the user's blade and body through the action needed to be taken. The user can choose to turn off system assist whenever they'd like. A learning option is also provided, where the assistance will decrease every time the user gets better at using the skill themselves.
Weapon Types:
Twelve basic weapon types are accessible through ordinary means. More options of weapons exist but need to be located, crafted, or bestowed. If course each type holds many carriers like crossbows, long bows and short bows. The types listed are all of the basic firms one can find of the weaponry.
* Axe
* Bow
* Club
* Dagger
* Gloves
* Hammer
* Lance
* Shield
* Sickle
* Spear
* Staff
* Sword
