The classes weren't that interesting, Qiu Ye knew most of the stuff anyway so she just focused on continuing to practice the second tier of the Eternal Pulse Sutra. Although the first tier went by super fast, the second tier would take probably up to a month or so even with both Qiu Ye and Winter practising at the same time. One bonus the two found out about being two souls inhabiting a body is that Winter can pay attention to the lecture and learn like a normal student even if Qiu Ye isn't paying attention. During Class, Qiu Ye let Winter take control of the body to learn and write down notes. Turns out Winter was just unable to absorb Qiu Ye's memories for some reason so Qiu Ye wanted to let her learn naturally. After all, she was supposed to attend these classes anyways.
When the two got used to each other, the mind they co-inhabit changed scenery. The original dark room from their first encounter changed into a large penthouse moulded by their consciousness. Will manifestation is not a very rare skill but having two people work on one thing made the manifestation much more solid and tangible. Simply creating that space puts a barrier against psychic attacks and also allows them to share a better look space. They call their penthouse 'Elysium' .
While Winter had control over their body, Qiu Ye sat on the couch in Elysium. She could see everything on the large screen monitor as she sat laid on her back throwing a ball into the air and catching it. At the moment Eternal Pulse Sutra was running passively and she didn't need to consciously recite it to practice it so she was able to multitask and work on something else.
Qiu Ye needed to develop a core skill which would evolve along with her body which would eventually develop into a personal soul gear. When fighters graduate to King class, their bodies recognise the core skills which built the body to the level it is and creates treasures which are directly linked the person's style, personality and core skill.
In her past like, Qiu Ye's treasure was a shield bracelet. This life she was looking forward to seeing what kind of treasure she would develop. Perhaps both Qiu Ye and Winter would have different king treasures.
Since Qiu Ye had the Fractured Sky Soul Formation, she might as well practice the Fractured Sky skill created by the Holy Spirit. The problem is that the nature of the Fracture Sky skill was slightly complicated. From what Qiu Ye understood, unlike other base skills, the Fractured Sky skill was less a core and more a rope that binds everything together. The soul formation allows the fighter to have no limit to growth so the skill allowed the user to combine and bind different powerful skills together. That was the reason why the holy spirit had thousands of skill books in her library and not just the Fractured Sky skill. Once the user learned the skill, they would then go on to learn many other useful skills that would slowly but surely cause the fighter to become incredibly flexible and powerful.
Unfortunately it seemed like the Holy Spirit had been killed long before Qiu Ye was even born, so she couldn't go and consult the spirit for help. So the Fractured Sky skill could not reliably be used seen as a core skill. Qiu Ye needed to find something to base her fighting style on. Or perhaps she could train to be able to change fighting styles when needed since the Fractured Sky skill would allow the body to have conflicting powers exist at the same time.
In her past life she didn't find anything that could become a useful core skill, she simply hunted and ran for hundreds of years until she became strong enough to face the Ancient Devil. Even then she had to rely on her gear and weapons to kill off the Ancient Devil. Perhaps it was too early to worry about having a core skill since she wasn't even a noble fighter yet.
Qiu Ye searched through her mind's archives to find something to work on for the time being. She wasn't going to work on an archery martial art since she doesn't have a good bow to work with at the time being. If she wanted to get started with hunting all she could do is to fight head on.
While it may seem cowardly, evasion skills are extremely important. Qiu Ye's time difference skill allowed her to evade to an extent but it was actually a part of a larger skill called Hawk Eye. Originally a skill developed for the Kenku species - humanoid bird type people, it allowed the user to absorb a lot of information through their eyes and use their body to evade everything coming at them. The important part of the dodging is not just not getting hit but baiting the person into striking where you want them to.
It wasn't perfect but it was still extremely useful. Qiu Ye decided to work on it for now. Like most fighting skills it was better to practice while sparring so Qiu Ye waited until Winter was done with class and moved onto training sessions with teachers and other students. At the mean time she continued going through her mind to find things that were worth practising while she worked up to becoming a noble fighter.

Turns out Winter was quite the attentive student, she often asked inquisitive questions. This was yet another thing which separated her and Qiu Ye. Once class was over, Winter handed the control back to Qiu Ye. On the way to the gym, a frail looking boy fell back onto Qiu Ye, causing her to slightly stumble. When she looked back she saw a senior student laughing at the kid, she deduced that the kid was probably pushed. Not wanting to be caught up in the situation she kept moving on. Suddenly Winter spoke.
"Aren't you going to help him?"
"I'm no saint. Last thing I want is to annoy some hot shot noble and get cut off from the resources I'm supposed to have access to. Making unnecessary enemies is not on my bucket list."
Winter grumbled but stopped speaking, Qiu Ye kept walking.
Suddenly she felt a tug at her skirt. When she glanced back she found the boy hold onto her skirt as if asking her felt help. With a look of disdain and annoyance, Qiu Ye slapped his hand away and kept moving. She then heard a laugh and a voice speak.
"Aww looks like your little guardian angel gave up on you, how desperate must you be to have to ask a weak little commoner for help."
She ignored him and kept walking. The senior walked up in front of Qiu Ye
"What a coward, just gonna run away?"
Qiu Ye treated him as if he didn't even exist and walked around him. That seemed to set him off because he threw a punch at her back. Subconsciously, Qiu Ye leaned to the side, caught his arm and slammed him on his back using the force of his punch. She followed up with a swift punch to the throat before realising what she did.
Qiu Ye was now no weaker than a noble fighter even though her soul force wasn't up to par since she could waste much more energy with Eternal Pulse running. The senior clutched his throat and stood up, fuming. Qiu Ye didn't want any more trouble so she just held up her hands and said in defence.
"Hey man sorry, you threw the punch at me first."
That only seemed to make him more angry. Qiu Ye heard Winter groan in her mind. The senior threw another punch but this time he seemed to be using some type of technique as his fist glowed a purple colour. Qiu Ye rolled her eyes but realised that it was a good situation to practice Hawk Eye and kite around his punches.
At first Qiu Ye utilised Time Difference, the world slowed down and Qiu Ye had more time to gauge each punch and find the right movement to evade it. But as time moved on, Qiu Ye was able to spot a pattern in the action and bait the senior into punching at empty spots. To further egg him on, Qiu Ye put her arms behind her back while stepping around care freely.
As time passed and Qiu Ye got more used to the Hawk Eye skill, she felt a familiar sensation as the world slowed down. However unlike time difference, her body didn't feel like it was lagging behind her mind and she was able to act instantly according to what she saw. Her body was learning faster than her previous life as she was already familiar with the sensation and only needed the body to catch up with her mind. It was like rehab after an accident.
It was almost time for class so Qiu Ye needed to end it quickly. With a quick and controlled blast of frost, she froze the ground under the senior and caused him to slip. Then she encased his entire body in ice by placing her palm on his chest. She then walked away while patting away the frost from her hands.
Qiu Ye was happy that her control over ice was still as proficient as her past life, it gave her time to practice the other elements and was a great weapon especially against targets stronger than herself. The senior would thaw out soon, if she really wanted to seal him in there, the ice would be different.
The spectating viewers were shocked, this moment was going to go down in history. Some unnamed commoner just destroyed the vice principal's nephew Lee Hai after toying with him for 5 minutes. Nicknames already started circulating around the community, Lee Hai's reputation as a dominating bully was widely known so having a random first year student absolutely destroy him was surprising. Soon the rumour of a Queen of Ice encasing people in ice coffins spread from student to student.
Qiu Ye was put into a high level archery class so she got an archery instructor for training class. The archery department has been very small and underdeveloped for years so the instructor was extremely happy to receive a promising student. Seeing as to how Qiu Ye was already pretty accustomed to the basics of the bow, the instructor immediately started teacher her the more intermediate skills.
Qiu Ye got rapid firing down pretty easily, though her new hands were slightly smaller than she was used to she got accustomed to it soon enough. Holding multiple arrows in her hand and drawing at the same time was tiring to begin with but she as getting used to it. At the end of the session she was able to hold up to 7 arrows at one time and fire all 7 within seconds. There was slight variance in accuracy while she rapid fired but that was expected.
Qiu Ye tried to incorporate drill arrow with the rapid fire but she wasn't good enough to combine the two just yet. She did however manage to infuse arrows with her elemental powers while the instructor wasn't paying attention. Lightning seemed to be the most effective but she had to experiment on a proper target before she could properly judge.
On her way back to her room, she found a huge fist getting swung at her face as she turned a corner. She immediately scattered a mist of small ice fragments which froze the fist and stopped it from hitting her face. Her battle instincts immediately kicked in as she created a thin jet of water by using her fingers as a nozzle. She heard her assailant yell as the water cut apart their skin deep enough to grind up bone.
