The wolf pup hunted small animal offspring while avoiding larger monsters, sharing its prey with Lacrus until he recovered. Over time, they grew stronger and began hunting more challenging prey until they faced very dangerous monsters. The king, noticing the decreasing monster population in the forest, initiated an investigation and found Lacrus.
