Chapter 6: Is this a Fucking joke?
When everyone heard that Alex was going to fight them one on one, they felt a shiver run down their spine. They were all usually hot headed and quick to fights but this time, they had clearly seen the distance between their levels, they understood, what waited them wasn't a one versus one fight but a one versus one beat down. Even if they had ganged up on him, they would have a miniscule chance of winning this.
It was an instinctive fear, they hadn't seen what he could really do but that was exactly what they were afraid of, if they knew his full ability, they could think of a plan but he could probably beat them with zero effort. They all looked at each other and did rock paper scissors to determine the line. The one who went first, was Marcus. When they reached the center Alex sped up his time by 25% and the fight started.
Marcus tried everything he could but to no result, he threw fire at him, went into hand-to-hand combat but none of it helped. After 5 minutes Alex just hit kneed him to the stomach and threw him out of the boundaries. He didn't say anything about his performance but just said, “Next!” and the Christoph went in. The same scenario repeated itself every time.
Alex just dodged around for 5 minutes then threw them out of the boundaries. When they were done, Alex was extremely irritated and just yelled at them, “You guys seriously wanted to join the Combat Division with that little ability, you would get yourselves killed in your first life or death fight! Now everyone come at me together.”
Even when everyone attacked together, they had no chance. In 3 minutes everyone were thrown out of boundaries and Alex was nearly at boiling point. He gnashed through his teeth, “This is all for today. We will meet again at tomorrow morning 6 AM sharp. If you are late you will get punished.” Everyone were holding onto their sore spots when they looked at Alex with dread. Alex just took his jacket and started going towards the Directors office.
Everyone, who saw him on the way, immediately made way for him. He looked terrifying, when he reached the Directors office he went straight inside. The Director was currently talking to another instructor who bailed the second he saw Alex's face. He felt instinctive fear from him. The Director just looked at Alex and sighed, “So, you tested them huh?”
Alex looked straight at the man and said, “Is this a fucking joke? Those guys are worse than beginners, they need to be taught from ground zero to even get a frigging decent result. The current them would get killed 4 minutes into a mission and in the file it said that they have been in the training program for 3 years now. How the flying fuck can someone suck so bad after being in training for 3 years, huh? Or is it that your instructors are shit for not being able to teach them?”
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
When Alex was done, the Director stood up with an angry face and yelled back, “What do you fucking know?! I entrusted them to you because we don't have anyone else who could teach them. For three years they were bounced from one instructor to another, no wonder their foundation is crappy.”
Alex just replied, “And now you want me to teach them from ground zero, are your instructors seriously that pushover that they couldn't even demonstrate their strength to them to make them respect the person? With twerps like these you need to show them the gap between the two like you did to me, not be like a fucking pussy and make an exception after exception for them. I read the files and now I understand, it wasn't that they were unable to control them but they lacked the balls to man up and show them their difference in strength.”
When the Director heard him, he seriously wanted to punch Alex but he realized, that he was right. The previous instructors were too lenient on them because their aptitude with their abilities was high. The higher the aptitude, the bigger chance of the person becoming extremely formidable was, they didn't want to ruin that potential so they were more lenient towards them and made exception after exception. This made them too haughty and a bit uncontrollable, making what Alex said right. They should have been extra hard on them from the start.
Alex calmed down after venting his fury like that, he sat down on the chair and sighed, “It is not impossible for me to make them into S ranker's but I need to work with them from ground zero, that means that during the summer break I will do a two and a half month extreme hell training camp. They have a lot of potential but they seriously need to learn how to control their abilities to the best they can and more importantly, they need fighting experience and discipline.”
When the Director heard that, he let out a wry smile and just said, “If you plan on training them, then you should know that we will support your every decision. Just train them thoroughly.”
“Then prepare the infirmary stocks because these guys are going to go through a hell of a boot camp in one month.” As Alex said that, he exited the office and started thinking of the training regime for each of his new students.
“This is going to be more troublesome than I thought.” he mumbled as he walked out of the ESP Divisions compound.
