Standing just like an animal in a four-legged stance, as if preparing to jump onto its next prey.
From afar you could see as his veins grew bigger, pulsing erratically looking as they were about to explode, along with his muscles that were expanding and shrinking in an irregular rhythm.
¡GROAR!
As if animated by the loud roar his red-black aura flared vigorously, along with it, his muscles contracting into their original size.
¡Fwish!
Finally, the beast-like man decided it was the appropriate moment to pounce onto its prey, jumping and destroying the concrete beneath him, displaying an extraordinary show of strenght. His two Shadowed Werewolves following soon after him.
Such a barbaric race. Truly disappointing.
The Elf thought disgusted by the primitive like scene. Extending his two arms in front of him, preparing a wide Magical Formation.
Henry, in his frenzied state simply dismissed the Array and charged recklessly through it, not caring a bit for what was coming to his way.
Which turned out to be a mistake.
As soon as he was in range the Elf released his Magical attack, releasing an enormous explosive Blast Of Gust. The power of the attack was enough to send the enraged adolescent flying through the air and destroying both Shadowed figures in the process.
Calculating the flight Henry was going and where he was going to land, he released two powerful vertical Wind Blades, it should be enough to end the fight if his calculations were right.
Calculations which obviously, were right.
He dismissed the flying teen and decided to focus on the rest of the survivors.
All that was left was one Frontal fighter, based on his lack of Mana.
Two Magicians, one of them displaying the usage of Fire while the other displaying the usage of Nature, a slight uncommon affinity.
Another two apparent Magicians, based on their slightly bigger Mana pools compared to the average, though, nothing concrete as neither of them have displayed any sort of magic.
Though it seemed as the maiden was somewhat valuable to them, he realized. After all, the frontal combater, and the other apparent Magician, were apparently trying to protect her.
Interesting
Some hypotheses flashed through his mind in quick succession, but unfortunately, it wasn't the time of thinking about that as there were some more urgent matters.
He simply changed his field of vision towards that of the man he was fighting with, the Wind Blades should shred him to pieces in one second.
Unfortunately for the Elf, it didn't end as expected.
He watched with disdain as that black reddish aura flared furiously someway destroying his Wind Blades. Interesting though, even being an abomination, it is indeed something curious how that weird energy behaved.
The landing of the Human-like beast was nothing graceful, brutally crashing onto the hard concrete.
¡¡¡GROAAAARrr!!!
It didn't seem to be hurt after the hard crash and rather seemed refreshed as he quickly hopped over his way towards the Elf with a greater vigor than before.
His muscles bulging and contracting, each step showing greater strenght than the previous one, his veins with a crazy vigor, his aura flaring with a much greater intensity than before, the aura summoning several Small Wolf Heads with red eyes, each of those heads glaring madly at the Elf flying with great speeds towards him.
The Fantasy creature frowned slightly and quickly formed a great formation in front of him which only took a mere second to unleash a barrage of Small Gust Blast destroying as many flying Heads as he could.
Regardless of his attempts, the Shadows were simply to many as to kill them all in a single move, not only that, but those Shadows after getting destroyed, quickly reformed back to their original shape, stopping at the spot they got destroyed, but, still, they would reform in some minutes.
He had to deal with the source if he wanted to win.
"Hmph!"
He sneered arrogantly forming a Formation beneath his feet. Once done, he unleashing the Explosive sending him back to the very rear of the Gym, quickly, closing his eyes, and focusing.
This time there was no visible formation, it was a far more complex type of magic.
Henry stopped in the previous spot the Great Magician was at, huffed, and.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
¡¡¡GROAAAARRRRRR!!!
A loud enough roar that even managed to disrupt the concentration of the Great Magician. No, it wasn't a simple roar, it sprayed a massive effect of fear in the surrounding areas.
Curious...
At first, it affected him quite a bit. But dozen of years practicing the ways of the Arcana made him a collected person very quick in dealing with situations as such. Quick in forming a counter-measure against the fear effect, but expectedly, that energy didn't behave like mere Mana.
After all, it was an abomination indeed.
He managed to suppress the effect a bit, but that was all, his focus was swaying.
¡¡¡GGROAAAARRRRRR!!!
Once again the man-like beast unleashed another massive roar, but this time, it wasn't a mere effect of fear that is displayed.
His whole field of vision turned black, a dread sensation covering his whole body, countless red, sharp eyes, observing him, it uneased him, scared him, made him fear that stupid being, but most importantly of all, it annoyed him.
"Tch!"
He flared his own Mana trying to disrupt the illusion covering his body, ¡But damned that Energy was so weird!
He gritted his teeth, he didn't like doing this.
With an extraordinary focus, he moved all his fear towards one point of his mind, and moved it, removed it apart from his logical thinking, removing those feelings from his regular thinking.
He hated using that technique, it required a grand focus and the after-effects could be very brain-washing, literally
The good part is that maintaining the technique is easy, the activation part and possible after-effects are annoying.
Two seconds had passed to activate his ability, right now, the enemy should be near. Trying to run in the darkness was a bad idea, he didn't memorize the layout, after all, previously having thought that it would be an unnecessary action.
He formed a barrier around his person and thankfully it blocked a Shadowed Head that he didn't saw coming. It was pounding on the barrier, trying to break it.
"Hmph!"
He merely laughed and quickly began another advanced magic. Simple ones wouldn't be able to kill the beast he was currently confronting, an advanced one would do.
It's unfortunate that he doesn't know advanced Magical Barriers.
Having already predicted the following moves from his adversary, he wasn't surprised as his barrier got shattered by a single punch of his enemy.
Everything after that was simply resumed in one word.
Beating.
He couldn't do anything more than preparing his attack, focusing on it rather on the pain he was receiving. Not only pain but fear too, each punch of his granted him a fear effect, making it even harder to focus.
Thankfully, it didn't seem as Henry wanted to kill him, no, it just wanted to vent its fury, torture him, trash his face until it got unrecognizable.
His left eyeball popped in a splash of blood.
Yet, he maintained his focus, as he knew, that thinking about anything else would bring a certain death.
His jaw broke.
Yet, maintained it.
Finally, it seemed as Henry was about to deliver a finishing hit, exposing his chest while preparing a wide punch to his already broken face, a finisher indeed.
A perfect opportunity.
"¡TWIN TYPHOONS!"
He shouted loudly bringing his arms forth and unleashing two mini tornados from his arms. The weird energy getting completely obliterated by the massive attack, not being able to withstand a mere second against it.
His arms slowly got shredded by the spell itself, yet, he maintained the attack in an endless stream, not faltering a bit, not even when his arms were about to get completely cut.
The veil of darkness vanished and so, he stopped his own attack.
He watched as the sky was completely covered in blood from his enemy, his attack should have destroyed his abdomen, organs, bones, everything, he should be completely shredded to pieces, by all means, that being should be dead.
¡Plump...!
He sighed in relief as his enemy fell onto the hard concrete, showing no sign of getting up.
His arms were completely shredded to pieces, bleeding all over the place. Normally, that attack wouldn't harm its own owner ¿What kind of magic would hurt it, own owner? That's simply a stupid design that needs to be polished.
Yet, with the small-time he had to work with, he couldn't help but to dismiss several protective glyphs unleashing the attack in its raw, as a result, nearly ripping his own two arms.
If his plebs didn't arrive soon, he would die out of bleeding.
His arms were unusable and he couldn't patch them up on his own. Actually, he couldn't feel them anymore.
His Mana pool was by its 4%, ¿When was the last time he got so low?
Yes... Against that formidable Chief, it was.
Humored by the thoughts, he started recharging his Mana pool, meditating ignoring the five remaining Humans that were currently watching him cautiously.
After all, now that he beat their two Chiefs, for law, they were his plebs from now on.
But he wouldn't tell them to tend to his wounds, he still didn't trust him, but he didn't believe that they would be so foolish as to confront him.
Which turned out to be an error.
He was taken out of his meditation as he received a strong kick to the left side of his face. Pushing him to the ground and making him dizzy.
Glaring at the perpetrator with his remaining eye, he unleashed a Blast of Gust sending him flying. It wasn't strictly necessary using the arms to perform his moves, it was just easier and generally more powerful.
His eyes widened as a root nearly pierced deep into his chest, luckily, it didn't reach anything important and his strengthening his body just in the moment was enough to detain the root strike.
Once again he glared at the Nature boy and unleashed two Wind Blades, one vertical and another one horizontally.
It shredded him to pieces.
He felt a flicker of magic being activated at the direction of the supposedly beaten man. Startled, he moved his head to the beaten Chief, only glad to see as the girl was healing him with some Healing magic.
So that's why she's valuable...
Healing affinity, no matter the tribe, it was an important attribute that every tribe desired to have in their side.
Such a pity ill have to kill her...
Because with the barest possibility, that she managed to successfully heal that abomination, he wouldn't be able to beat it once again, not in the state he currently was in.
Another of those barbaric race was in front of the girl, glaring at him, but doing nothing.
Defensive magic?
If so, it would be a problem, but regardless, he would have to try if he wanted to get rid of those pests.
But not to his expectations, a single Wind Blade was enough to kill both, the barrier user, and the healer.
He sighed in relief. Based on the Mana from the defeated Chief, it didn't seem that he would die soon, he was stabilized, but not in the best conditions.
His vision was fading and the bleeding got worst, not only that, but the concussions, broken bones, the small hole in his chest, and the worst, his critically low Mana pool, all indicated that he would die soon.
It seemed as his position would be taken by his son.
He'd liked for his son to have a bit more years to take over his position, but just like with him, this world wanted the Chief leader to be nurtured since young.
Oh well...
As long as it wasn't lead by one of those barbaric individuals, he was fine with it.
Until he realized with horror, that one of those was left.
Just one.
A Fire Magician.
