Lone Survivor#Chapter III

Finally, the mourning finished. Most students with red eyes due to the crying, sad, but fine enough to continue.

Most, not all.

Henry with his new leader position ordered a small group to investigate what's happening outside, to see what really's happening outside, if the world is really changing for worst as they are expecting, or maybe, just maybe, their sector is a very special case.

The small group consisted on those individuals that had the highest stats regarding VIT, AGI, and DEX. Thankfully Henry was honest when he said about forgiving him, if not, he could be out there scouting with that group.

If that were the case then there would be a high chance of him dying.

Anyways, now with the free time, he decided to search about this curious system. Seeing if there were certain options like inventory, which unfortunately was none, or maybe Titles, which, unfortunately, also nothing about it.

He hadn't found a lot of stuff.

Just based on his ideas of a basic game setting didn't reveal much. For now, he would have to wait and ask for things in their appropriate moment.

He could feel as his Mana was slowly filling up.

Before, while fighting, he remember summoning 5 Fireballs, something which consumed most of his Mana to a bare percentage between the 5% to 10%. Now he could feel as his Mana was up to the 80 or 85%, it would soon get up to its hundred percent.

'Mana bar'

Unfortunately nothing of the sorts, it seemed like the only way of knowing how much Mana he currently had is by the old, traditional way, based on feelings.

'Hp bar'

The same, nothing of the sorts.

¿Maybe it could be unlocked for later? A possible and hopeful option, but for now, nothing as such. Or maybe he had to call it some other way, perhaps like Mana pool, Mana numbers or something like that.

He sighed. For now, he would simply resign himself at learning a bit more thoroughly the stats he had, for example.

----------------------------------------

INT

----------------------------------------

<  ¡Determines your Mana Pool! Based on the information you know.  >

<  WARNING  >

<¡TOO MUCH INT AND YOU WILL HAVE MANY HEADACHES THAT COULD RESULT FATAL! !BALANCE THIS STAT WITH WIS AND DEX!  >

----------------------------------------

Mana pool, nice to know.

Curious that even mental stats were balanced with DEX, maybe it'll be good looking out for that curious stat. Nothing to lose after all.

----------------------------------------

DEX

----------------------------------------

<  ¡Determines how controlled you can be! Based on your motor control. >

<  ¡Determines your spatial awareness! Based on your senses.  >

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

<  WARNING  >

<¡TOO MUCH DEX AND YOU WILL BE DRIVEN CRAZY WITH HOW SLOW THE WORLD MOVES! !BALANCE THIS STAT WITH AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT STATS>

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

So far, the most curious stat.

The main problem with stats is that you don't know how much can be considered unbalanced, maybe, as well with the Mana Pool, it only can be felt and experimented based on the feelings.

This is pretty dangerous considering that maybe just 10 points of difference may cause a grave problem with your own body.

Later it's going to be a curious experiment seeing what happened after adding... Who knows, 20 of DEX onto someone, what would happen to that person? Would it even be possible to add point artificially onto someone? What about STR? In its warning, said that too much strength would cause the bone and muscles to shred.

Indeed something curious.

Not only curious but it would be beneficial in leveling up without worrying about shredding your muscles by accident, or overflowing your brain with knowledge and having severe headaches.

For now, its nothing more than a mere thought.

Another thing he had looked up for was his skill, in particular, his Fireball.

----------------------------------------

Fireball

TIER I

----------------------------------------

<  One of the most basic skills for a FireBorn. Consume a little of the user Mana summoning a big fire that will consume the life of its opponents.  >

----------------------------------------

And that brought another question ¿What a FireBorn? ¿Someone that can manipulate the fire?

----------------------------------------

FireBorn

----------------------------------------

<  An individual with a natural affinity with the fire  >

----------------------------------------

A pretty short message. To be honest, he didn't know if it was a good or bad gift. After all, how useful is having a natural affinity with fire? Is fire even good? In most games, it's just a basic and not that useful magic.

Although they are games, and this is real life.

Still, he couldn't deny the fact that fire as magic seems like something pretty basic and easily countered.

Regardless he's stuck with fire, for now. Maybe he could change affinity later on? Or maybe it's just an inclination to a certain magic, maybe he could, later on, manipulate earth, or air, who knows?

WIS 18! (<17)

Neat. He thought. The description of the WIS said that it was based on how much your ability to ponder. It didn't count about things such as thinking about a random number or about your home, It has to be something you wonder, for example, ¿How much difference there must be to unbalance your STR? Basically, things that you haven't pondered before.

A pretty easy stat to level up.

WIS aside. He had been experimenting with other things, such as his FireBorn talent.

¿Is it possible to create his own, and personal skills? Or mental skills are learned by leveling up? ¿Or finding grimoires, finding scrolls? Could they be created?

For now, he looked for creating a smaller fireball, something that consumed less mana and had a penetrative power, and surprisingly, it was pretty easy to achieve.

Small Fireball Active Skill Learned!

From the palm of his hand, a Small Fireball got shot, slightly blacking the wooden floor below him. Not the result he was expecting, also, it was as slow as the Fireball.

He tried again, this time pushing it, trying to exert more force behind it.

Unfortunately, the same result.

Small Fireball

TIER I

(Fireball Variation)

----------------------------------------

<  A variation from the Fireball. Good for lighting small fire's  >

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Does Variation means something important? Maybe what's he's looking for is another type of spell. A different way of moving mana? Kinda like Naruto? With his hand signs shifting chakra a different way? Wait, does moving his finger a different way affect the way the Mana is manipulated?

He tried it, but it didn't work. He also tried moving his arms in different ways but there didn't seem to be any significant change.

Aside from looking like an idiot, nothing changed.

"BANG BANG BANG!" the metal door banged, someone was knocking, Henry opened the door, greeted by a terrified team of Teens.

"It's full. Monsters. Everywhere"

The leader said, shivering, not only was it full, something else is out there.
