Lone Survivor#Chapter II

The healing finished after five comfortable minutes. Even though his external wounds were fine and all, his internal injuries weren't, he could still feel the bruises forming and aching from the mere facial movements.

After asking Vanessa about the bruises, she simply said she was out of Mana.

Which meant that he wouldn't be able to rely on her after big wounds, something which sucked. Still, he curtly thanked Vanessa receiving a mere nod.

His black eyes moved to Henry, his enemy, no, not enemy.

His target.

Once again he changed his main vision, observing the retreating figure of Vanessa, mostly focusing onto her ass and thighs.

Round and big.

Focus!

Once again his thoughts went onto his future revenge against Henry. Unlike his previous civilized revenge's, in which he only ruined their reputations, or sent them to prison due to drug possession, this one wouldn't be so lenient. If the world is really turning into something like those Royal fictions.

Then killing would be a legit option.

Unfortunately, for now, he would remain quiet. First of all, he knew nothing of the outside world, may as well this be something like a ¿Dimensional rift? Or simply some other bullshit which makes only his school having this ridiculous system as well as those stupid green monsters.

And once he kills Henry, getting back to the real world, he's going to prison due to murder.

He sighed and sat upon the bench of the gym. If this is really some kind of game setting, then, there should be something like Stats ¿Right?

Fortunately, his wish came true.

He focused on the stats and smirked.

It seemed as his Mental Stats were pretty high compared to his physical ones. It may, or not be a coincidence that his first Skill is Fireball and his Stats are in favor of Mental power.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

The Tier is somewhat curious but for now, it didn't matter, what really took his attentions is the Sp, does it mean Stat points? Stats plus? Something related with stats? If it's a game, then yes, probably it means something along the lines.

If so, then what would be for the best, ¿Spending it now? ¿Or conserving it for later?

Both options have their plus and minus.

Conserving it for later would be the smartest, considering, later on, he's going to know how the whole system works, what's best to spend considering his class and such.

That, if he manages to survive that much without spending Stats points.

Now, the other option is spending the points right now. Spending his points in VIT or maybe AGI so he doesn't die THAT fast. But once again, later on he's going to regret spending those points so rashly due to knowing what would have been better for his current class which probably is Magician or Mage.

Kinda like in every game, the first hours, you waste a lot of nice opportunities, but later, you are very clear in what to do and what to not, regretting deeply your stupid previous decisions.

But unfortunately, this is not a game, and he doesn't have an extra life.

Probably.

For now, if he wants to survive he should spend in the most important attribute, the one that will grant him more life and make him more durable.

----------------------------------------

VIT

----------------------------------------

<  ¡Determines how many hits you can take! Based on your muscle thickness and your weight  >

<  WARNING  >

<  ¡TOO MUCH VIT AND YOU WILL BE TOO HEAVY TO MOVE! !BALANCE THIS STAT WITH AGI AND DEX!  >

----------------------------------------

But after reading the descriptions, he got his doubts. ¿Is spending everything onto VIT the wisest? If he spends 5 points onto VIT, making the difference between AGI and VIT even higher, ¿How slow would he become?

He would tank more hits, sure, but he wouldn't be able to escape, which sucked.

Thinking about it, he thought it was better looking at the other stats before acting rashly.

For once, AGI would be an interesting test.

----------------------------------------

AGI

----------------------------------------

<  ¡Determines how fast, and how much stamina you have! Based on your pulmonary and cardiac system >

<  WARNING  >

<  ¡TOO MUCH AGI IS GOING TO SHRED YOUR MUSCLES AND ORGANS! BALANCE THIS STAT WITH STR AND DEX!   >

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

What a gruesome penalty.

Regardless, considering that... Would it be better to spend three points onto AGI and the remaining two points onto VIT? It would definitely make his body a little bit faster and more durable.

But still ¿Shouldn't he take into account the remaining stats?

After some pondering, he finally decided to do as thought, 3 points into AGI, and the remaining two points to VIT. It would balance his stats and also increase his chances of escaping.

He discarded looking into the others stats because it's unnecessary, so far, from AGI and VIT descriptions, the only peculiar about them was looking on their warnings, aside from that, nothing stood out of the ordinary. He currently didn't need more STR, WIS, WIL, INT nor DEX, for now, he only needed to survive the unexpected.

Cesar felt as his body got lighter and momentary, heavier, but only it was a moment as his AGI attributes make that heaviness feel like nothing more than a faint feeling.

He pinched his right arm, before, a limb 90% made out of fat and 10% made out of muscle. Now... still 90% of fat and 10% of muscle.

Seemed as increasing VIT only made his muscles bigger, but his fat remained.

The injustices of life and games.

His muscles had certainly got bigger, and so, heavier, but he couldn't feel it and instead felt lighter and not feeling like puking after 3 laps around the Gym.

1 Lap is a hundred meters.

Something caught his eye, finally noticing the gloomy mood surrounding the area.

He observed as his classmates were currently piling the bodies in the center of the Gym, only students bodies.

They pilled the corpses of the dead students and the P.E teacher that were with them, he was the first on dying after opening the goddamn gate.

Two bodies stood out of the rest, two charred bodies, Nail, and someone else he couldn't recognize.

Seeing them he couldn't help but feel regret, he's not a soulless bastard, maybe a bit off from the ordinary student, but not soulless, he could recognize when he was in the wrong.

But that didn't take off the fact that Henry had beaten him and made a bloodied mess out of his face, if Vanessa didn't have that particular skill then he could be dead due to blood loss.

Or knocked out, which was as bad as dying in these peculiar circumstances.

Everyone mourned in silence. Before, they were 54, 2 classes, 25-29 students in each class. Now, they were 13 students less, those that couldn't react properly, and 2 exceptions that died due to his mistake, were now dead.

Finally, the piled bodies were covered with 2 banners from their schools that were laid on the storage room of the Gym, they were simply left as that.

After the mourning everyone took their emotional frustration in their own ways, some started madly hitting the benches, the floor, anything. Some silently cried. Some others started crying out loud or shouting obscenities to God, or whatever was up there watching them.

And Henry, Henry, with red eyes due to crying, was getting to him, which was bad news.

Shit... he silently cursed and looked up at the red eyes of Henry. Both of them stared at each other in silence, finally, Henry broke that tense moment with mere words.

"I'm sorry..." ¿Huh? ¿Was that real regret? ¿Are my ears failing me? "I'm sorry for beating you. I've been thinking about it and... you were kind of justified, nobody could have expected this kind of... situation. I'm sorry for beating you before, I also wasn't in the best state of mind..."

The teen said with real regret in his eyes, and left him, leaving him with his own thoughts.

¿I'm sorry? he thought with sarcasm ¿Really? ¿After nearly killing me? If it wasn't for Vanessa and her skill I would be close to death, or even dead, and you just say 'I'm sorry?

He couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

Sorry, my ass. Well, if you say so, I'm also sorry, because, after this, I'll get you to meet death, let's hope Vanessa is there for you at that moment.

Let's not say he ain't fair, after all, Henry apologized, he won't kill that black bastard, but close, he will.

Yes... Let's just hope Vanessa is still there for you...
