Chapter One

Reagan was stared at the campfire. She had green-grey eyes with blonde hair with brown roots. She looked above the campfire at Jackson. Jackson was a CIT at the Wildflower Camo. The camo Reagan went to. Reagan loved going to the camp since she was six. That day Reagan was 12. The Wildflower camp made Reagan want to become a botanist. Jackson was the most handsome boy at camp at least to Reagan. He was fifteen with darling blue eyes and ginger hair. Jackson was also the most popular boy at camp. Reagan stopped looking at him and asked for another marshmallow. After the campfire, Reagan was asked to clean up for Poppy Cabin.

The other boys and girls asked to help clean up was Tina for Leopard Lily Cabin, Joey for Bush Poppy Cabin, and Jackson for Peony Cabin. Jackson extinguished the fire with water from a blue bucket. Reagan picked up her cabin's plates as did the other kids did. They had to walk to the cafeteria to throw away the plates. Jackson was grabbing the marshmallow bag and the graham cracker box. They walked up to the trash and threw the objects away. Then a sound of a cracked branch arose.

"What was that," Reagan asked with a scared voice.

"Relax, kiddie," Joey responded with a mean tone, "Someone walked and crushed a branch. Ooooooo scary."

"Hey, she's just a little kid enough," Jackson said. Reagan felt insulted and embarrassed that her crush would say that. They walked back to their cabins. Thankfully the moon was a new one so no one could see Reagan's blushed face. Another branch cracked surprising Reagan. Yet Joey, Jackson, and Tina weren't surprised. Reagan thought that it was because 14 to 16-year-olds were allowed to stay later than 9 to 13-year-olds which were 75% of the campers. Reagen felt her bladder filled.

"Hey, I have to go to the bathroom do you mind staying here," Reagen asked them.

"Why," Joey asked her in response.

"Don't you get she's a kid she's scared of the woods?" Tina told Joey. It was surprising hearing Tina talked since even though their cabins were often grouped Tina never really talked near Reagan.

"Sure," Tina said.

"Fine," Joey said.

"Sure," Jackson said.

Reagan walked for a while in a simple straight line. She found a near tree and went to the bathroom. She looked around to see if anybody was near. She was thinking about how the other kids think of her as just some little kid. She heard another branch cracking and quickly zipped up her pants. She then heard Joey screaming. She ran back to the spot she had left Joey, Jackson, and Tina. Then she heard Tina screaming making Reagan run faster. She then heard Jackson screaming. Reagan was at the same spot and saw nothing. Not blood, not the kid nothing. Reagan decided to run back to her cabin.

Reagan ran to her cabin. Reagan was so unfocused she almost tripped every other minute. Reagan finally saw the girl cabins. Even though the Poppy cabin and the Lily Leopard cabin were grouped there were also two other girl cabins, the Black Sage cabin, and the Golden Star cabin. Reagen made a relieved sigh. Then out of her side, a hand grabbed her and dragged her into the trees.
