Eevee’s POV
Eevee waited for the two hunters to make the first move, readying herself for the incoming attacks, after a few still moments the two hunters finally made a move, going straight at her with brandished claws and murderous intent. She has fought with her siblings before yet nothing could prepare her for this fight, the two hunters were faster than her, aside from that the snowstorm which deters her movement and perception.
Yet despite the disadvantage she could feel where the attacks would come from and dodge them. Unlike what she saw from the adult Glaceons when they were hunting, the two hunters attack were straight forward and clear, making it easy for her to predict where the attacks would land.
Eevee launched a counter attack of swifts against the foes. A few hits landed on one of the sneasels making it stumble and fell on its knees. Eevee didn’t let the opportunity slip and sent more barrage of swifts at it.
From her side the other sneasel launched a quick attack but she dodged it by jumping back and returned fire with another swift. She could feel her energy slowly run out as fighting in the blizzard is much harder with the strong winds blowing despite the big tree shielding most of the gust.
The two sneasels made a gesture on their hands challenging the young Eevee to come at them and taunting her. Eevee was enraged by their provocations and closed the gap using quick attack. The two sneasels both dodged by the side, their claws glowing white, they were about to use metal claw.
Eevee continued the quick attack but this time she used it to dodge the metal claws, and gaining distance from them. She had surmised that they may not have ranged attacks, so she had decided to keep the distance and avoid fighting them on close quarters.
The two sneasels both run the opposite direction from each other, approaching Eevee with great speed while getting their metal claw ready to pounce at her.
She could not see them in the blizzard, yet she knows the two sneasel would try to attack her together. Readying herself, waiting for the attack and surveying her surroundings, Eevee finally got a glimpse of one of the sneasels on her right, as the sneasel approached she used baby doll eyes against it causing the it to stop on its tracks and hesitate.
Eevee quickly used this opportunity to sent another swift on it, hitting it directly and causing a lot of damage. The other sneasel sneaks itself on Eevee’s back and struck her on her back.
Yelping in pain, Eevee never felt this way before. She could feel a burning pain on her back, blood dripping from the wound, she could now feel the difference in strength between them.
The moment before the attack struck, she had forgotten the other sneasel and that one mistake may cause her, her life. The sneasels steadily approached her with glowing white claws and vicious smiles. In that moment she had felt fear she had never felt before in her one month of life. Eevee had thought she could take on anyone, yet this fight had proven her wrong.
She looked at the sneasels and saw the insignificant damage she had dealt, only a few bruises and cuts were visible despite all the attacks she had landed on them. Realizing the difference between them, she regretted her decision. Tears fell out of her eyes as she awaits her fate.
As she had thought she would die, at the corner of her vision she could see the big creature running towards her. His body wrapping around her, shielding her from the attacks of the sneasels.
She could not understand why the creature had protected her. Using its already weakened body to act as a shield, she could see its face writhing in pain as the claws of the sneasels gnawed at its body.
Feeling fear and confusion Eevee cried for help, hoping anyone could hear her. She had looked back at their nest and could see her siblings shivering in fear, trying not to make any noise that could attract the attention of the sneasels. She realized they had been watching her fight. She felt emotions rising up, anger, remorse, hatred and betrayal.
Questions rose up on her mind ‘Why did they not help me?! Are they living me here to die?! How long have they been watching?!’
Deep inside she knew, even if her siblings helped, they would not be able to win she knew her own arrogance caused this, she knew her siblings is afraid, yet her mind refused to acknowledge it. She could not accept the truth that she, and her siblings were weak.
A few more seconds passed a flurry of ice flew towards the sneasels, she had looked at where it came from. A sense of joy and relief replaced her fear and anger. In there she saw the adult Glaceons who have comeback from their hunt.
Davy’s POV
Birds chirping, the warm breeze of spring hits through Davy’s skin as he walks to school, the sounds of bustling cars, people going to their jobs and kids laughing could be heard. Davy reaches the gates to school he felt a tug on his shoulder.
“Yo Man, how’s your weekend?” said the boy in a brown blazer and red tie and khaki trousers.
“it’s the same as always, how about you Josh? I bet your parents scolded you again for skipping classes.”
“I actually wasn’t caught this time hehehe, my old man is too busy with his business he even forgot to give me allowance, If I haven’t asked, he wouldn’t have given me anything.”
They walked together till they got to the classroom and dropped their bags. Davy noticed an ad Josh was looking at and asked
“What’s that?”
Josh replied “Oh this? Its just an ad for blood donation event”
“Why are looking at that? Are you interested?”
“Nah, I’m just impressed there’s people that willingly gives up blood for others.”
“What’s so amazing about it? It’s just giving away some of your blood, plus, it’ll just regenerate inside your body anyway.”
“Then would you do it If you have a chance?”
“Probably not, it’s a pain in the ass to do, some other people would do it anyway.”
“That’s the point, everyone could do it, but not everyone would, and that’s so amazing, since there’s people who willingly does it.”
Davy thought about it for a while before replying “Yeah I guess I’m not one of those amazing peolple.”
Before going back to his seat Davy saw Josh sign up to for blood donation. It left him confused and wondering why Josh have done that.
“Why did you sign up? Are students even allowed to donate blood?”
“Students at the age of 16 could donate blood if they have the consent of their parents, or so that’s what the ad says.”
“But still, why did you sign up?”
“How many do you think would sign up for this in the school?”
Davy thinks for awhile and answered “Not much I guess, or probably no one at all.”
“That’s the point! With this I can say I’m different than most! I’m special!” Josh laughed heartingly
Davy snorted and kicked his friend on the side before opening his books to study some more. ”Show off.” Davy muttered
“You might not understand but who knows, maybe a single bag of blood could save someone’s life and you wouldn’t even know about it.” Josh said as he goes back to his seat.
Davy woke up, he felt pain all over his body, his body felt so heavy accompanied with a throbbing pain on his hands and back. As he opened his eyes he could see large roots above him. Washed with pain as he tried to sit up, he groaned, using his hands to support himself, he finally managed to sit right up.

“Fuck!....Arghh!”
In his field of view Davy could see flowers growing in the ground along with moss on the walls of what looked like roots of a big tree, on his side he saw a variety of fruits he never seen before outside of games.
Feeling hungry he took some of the fruits on the pile and started eating them. Finally, as he felt full, he tried to assess the situation.
‘It wasn’t a dream.’ After seeing his condition he finally accepted this new reality.
‘If I remember correctly there was a group of pokemon who saved us from the sneasel.’
Realization came to him as he started to panic. He tried to find the small fox-like feline who tried to saved him, yet he could not find the Eevee around him.
‘Where is he!....No.. don’t tell me’ His thoughts wander as he prepared for the worst. He crawled his way to the opening in the roots of the tree, but before he could come out, a blue fox-like creature came into the roots. Davy stared at it for a while before realizing it was one of the pokemon who saved them.
‘It’s a Glaceon.’ Davy thought before asking the Glaceon on where the small Eevee was
“I don’t know if you understand me, but please! Where’s the Eevee! Is it safe?! How is he?!”
Davy pleaded before the Glaceon goes back outside and left Davy.
“hu. . .huh?” confused Davy couldn’t contain himself anymore and tried to crawl outside. Outside the blizzard has stopped and all that’s left is the aftermath of the storm, trees covered in snow, some have fallen and some stood tall, small creatures lurk near the trees and birds flying in the wind. Not far from there Davy could see a group of Eevee’s accompanied by a few Glaceon, and one of them came running at the group and seemingly called them, before their gazes fell on to Davy.
Davy felt anxiety and nervousness as the group approached him. He scanned the group to look for the Eevee who saved him. ‘They look different.’ Davy paled as the attack from the sneasels came to mind, their sharp and deadly claws digging through its skin and killing the Eevee without mercy.
The group of pokemon circled Davy as the curious young Eevee’s sniff him, while the glaceons looked at him angrily. “wha-“ Davy gasp in surprise as the group of glaceons dragged him back to the nest.
“Wait! Where’s that Eevee! The one with different color!” Davy screamed as he was being dragged back to the nest, moments later two glaceon left the nest and only the eevee’s and 3 other glaceon remained.
After some time Davy gave up, and slumped down not knowing what to feel or do. His mind was full of chaos, thinking he wasn’t able to do anything again and felt useless and guilty because he had bought the sneasels there, he blamed himself once again from all that has happened.
‘If I didn’t lead the sneasels here he wouldn’t have died, it should have been me not him!’ Davy felt angry at himself, he felt pitifully weak unable to do anything. Tears fell from Davy’s eyes and he started crying.
Moments passed as he continues to cry, he felt a tug on his pants, looking at the small Eevee Davy could feel the rush in his emotions and hugged the small Eevee.
A few Days passed and Davy could now finally walk normally, eating the berries the glaceons gave worked wonders for Davy, after just a few days his wounds healed up, even though some still remained, he can now move and walk normally without any discomfort.
‘The berries really helped me heal, modern day medication wouldn’t be able to help me recover this fast.’
Davy looked at where the small Eevee’s were playing on the leadership of the shiny Eevee, they played around digging holes and wrestling each other. Since that day when he woke up, Davy tried to care for the shiny eevee, he tried to feed it with his own hands and even pet it, which she didn’t like.
‘They’re very strict, I wonder if they’re ever this strict before, or was because of what happened.’ Davy wondered as there’s always a glaceon left behind to watch over the young eevee’s
Davy was grateful for the group for saving him, if they did not come in time, or come even a little bit late, Davy and the shiny eevee wouldn’t be here now.
“Soon I have to leave.” he muttered to himself.
‘I don’t want to be a burden to them anymore’ Davy decided to leave soon ‘One day Ill pay you back for saving me. '
Eevee POV
Right after they got rescued, she was reprimanded by the glaceons, she was punished and made to carry and find fruits for the creature for 3 days, one day when she was on her way back two of the glaceon came and fetched her, inside she could see the creature woke up and crying, while her siblings looked at him with fascination. As she gets closer to him her mind wondered why the creature was crying. ‘Do his wounds hurt? Is he ill?'
As she approached him curiosity came over her, it’s her first time seeing such creature she got close enough to sniff him. ‘Does he have a skin beneath his skin? Or is this his fur?’ She couldn’t hide her curiosity. She tried to bite the fur of the creature, trying to feel what it feels like. Suddenly the creature looked at her and she stared back at him, a couple of seconds later the creature hugged her. Surprised she tried to break free from the grip of the creature and bit him.
A few days later her punishment ended, she spent her days playing with his siblings and watching the glaceons fight.
She could feel the human always looking at her, his gaze was not something she hated, She liked attention more than anything and don’t want to be ignored. The older glaceons have told the others on what that creature is. Apparently, the name of the creature is a human they are a numerous species that build their homes using rocks, they also take in other pokemon in order to train them and make them fight. She did not understand why they train other species to be stronger and make them fight. Later on one of her siblings cuddled up with her as they were going to sleep and she remembered what happened a few days ago
A few days ago
She has resented her own siblings for not helping when they were getting attacked by the sneasels, she have ignored and avoided them for a few days before the oldest glaceon reached out to her.
“What’s the matter? Are you not getting along with your siblings?” He asked
She didn’t reply and tried to leave but glaceon stopped her.
“If there’s a problem you can talk to me, running away won’t solve it,” Eevee just stood there, she clearly doesn’t want to talk.
“Is it because of what happened?” with those words her ears flattened back. Showing annoyance and anger she turned back and ran.
Glaceon ran after her until she stopped and sat on a rock. “I don’t know what you feel but I know its not good for you,” silence continues as neither of them spoke.
Eevee finally replied. “They abandoned me.”
Glaceon was surprised to hear that and ask for more detail. “What do you mean?”
“When I was fighting the sneasels they just watched! They tried to hide themselves! They left me out there to die!” Eevee lashed out
Glaceon took some time to respond, thinking of what to say before fully understanding what happened. 'Her siblings were afraid, not all pokemon would be able to fight a month after they were born, most of them would still be nurtured by their parents.'
Eevee was an exception, at birth she had the will to fight, her own talent overshadowed her siblings, yet she assumed since she could do it, the others could also do it, young and foolish she jumped to save the human not knowing the difference in strength between them.
“They didn’t abandon you.”
“Liar! They just watched me to die!”
“Your siblings were afraid.”
“Even so they should have helped me!”
Glaceon realized he had to fix this misunderstanding soon or it might have a long lasting effect on this young eevee
“Are you the strongest among your siblings?”
“Yes, I am!”
“Did they follow you around before?”
“Yes!”
“Then what if you’re not the strongest and its one of your siblings instead”
“They wouldn’t be, because I’m the strongest”
Glaceon sighed as he leaned close to eevee.
“What if you were to see me lose, what if one day I won’t be able to win, would you still not be afraid and fight?”
Eevee thought hard before answering “I would be scared, but I’ll still fight and save you!”
Glaceon was amused by the answer of the young eevee, he got close and poke his nose against her nose.
“I appreciate your answer, but not everyone will have the same answer as you, even the other glaceon would run if they see me lose.”
“I would beat them up if they run away!”
“Not everyone is the same as you, they are not as courageous as you, infact most of us would run, the same goes for me.”
Eevee was stunned at what glaceon had said
“You are special, not like everyone one else, you have the courage only few have, that makes you special, your siblings, me and the others would not hesitate to run away.”
“But,” Eevee tried to say something but was cut off by glaceon.
“My dear, you’re strong, courageous and brave, you’ll be a proper leader when you grow up, but you are not the strongest, there are far more powerful pokemon out their than us in our little mountain, so strive to be strong so that others would feel safe and protected around you”
Eevee was silent, his words swam in her mind, she felt proud and happy from the praise she got from glaceon.
“How did you feel when you lost against the sneasels?”
Eevee’s face became grim at the sudden question “I felt...bad.”
“Did you felt powerless?”
“Yes.”
“Remember that feeling, etch it into your heart and never forget it, that will be the force that will push you forward, so that you’ll never feel the same way again,”
Silence ensued as time passed and nightfall came and they goes back to the nest.
Back to present Davy’s POV
Early in the morning Davy goes to a higher place where he could see more into the horizon, to see if he can spot any town nearby. He found a cliff where the view of the whole mountain foot could be seen.
He scanned the area and found a city nearby. “There’s a city nearby that’s good.” Davy was delighted and at the same time anxious on how he will approach his new life, the amount new things he needs to learn and people he will meet will be many.
“This is my new life.” Davy reminisced the days where he was living in his sibling’s shadow, the cold place he called home and the only friend he could rely on.
“Josh thank you for being by my side all this time, I’ll abide on our promise, I’ll keep on moving forward.” With a determined face Davy swore.
“I don’t know who bought me here or the reason behind it, I will not waste this chance you gave me, thank you.”
Davy trekked back to the tree, the home of the group of Eevees and Glaceons, and the place where he had stayed for the past week. Reaching the big tree Davy was confused to see the group busy and at haste ‘What’s happening?’ Davy wondered.
Not long after one of the glaceon tugged at his shorts, wanting to bring him somewhere. Davy followed them as the group descended down the mountain, the way down was rough, but the pokemons help him.
As they descend lower he could see more and more trees until the whole place were full of tress. A few more hours of walking they reached a clear space where only a single huge rock behind a house. An Ice rock
