[Theo]
The room is dark with a glow of light coming from outside the window. Two people siting opposite of one another on couch chairs. Outside the sounds of people and music can be heard.
Theo takes a sip of tea and smiles. "Well, this is awkward. Wasn't expecting you to make a cow farm this summer."
"They're not cows, they are family. Although, I'm not surprised since your family isn't in good terms with you." Redhead moving the pen on her hand up and down while looking outside.
"You got some real fucked up way of looking at family. Do they at least know what they're getting into. The dungeons they have been doing now are cake walk compared to the shit they will have to do in the future."
"The people outside have nothing to lose, even if they can't fight now, they will have to."
Theo slaps his knee and points at her with a smile. "That's what I'm saying a cow farm."
Redhead sighs. "...Call it whatever you want." She crosses her arms head pointed down. "I would have liked not using normal people, but that's the way it is."
Theo makes a grin. "Man you are such a lying piece of shit." He raises his tea cup. "Then again that's why I like you. Your like me."
She rests her head on her right arm that is resting on the chair. "Enough of this, what did you find out about the new cult, do they know about our world or not?"
"You mean the crazy ones that can't shut the fuck up? Yeah I looked them up." From his pocket he gets a paper, then gives it to her. "I'll be honest for a new cult they are really good at hiding stuff, but the thing about the old gods is suspicious."
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
On the paper there are a number of names on it.
"What's with the names?"
"As you know I don't have any sneak skills, although you can—"
"Nope."
"Alright, alright they have good protection in their headquarters, those are the names of the people that went into their headquarter in the last twenty four hours. My guess is they are new recruits."
She looks at him with a dead look in her eyes. "Are you saying that I have to do your job?"
"Oh, scary." He laughs. "We both know that you don't have a lot of friends in this field, it would be in your best interest to do nothing that you would regret."
"..."
"Look your good at talking with people, and me I'm the info guy. You can use one of those people on the list like in the cow farm you're making."
She looks at the paper, and stops on one name and smiles. "You know what. We can work together for a little while."
"Good to hear. What're you going to do with the cows?"
"It's up to them what they do. I think this life would give them the freedom they need from their current life even it starts out kind of shit."
"See you then." He floats out the door with a small wind in the room.
Outside the room in the long blue hallway with one light in the ceiling, she sees Jake. "Jake?" Her gaze shows surprise.
"H-Hey."
"What're you doing here?"
"Oh... uh, Karl fainted when people started talking to him, so I was looking for some ice."
"Do you need help?"
"No I already got some, if you don't mind me taking some." He shows her the ice pack.
She smiles. "Alright, try to have fun then."
"Will do!"
