Illya happily and casually hummed while walking.
She knew her destination.
. . .
Suddenly, Caster appeared next to Koe while he was studying magic.
"Master. Someone is approaching our location."
Koe stopped working on his magic circle, one slightly different from the one Caster drew, he had nearly stabilized it.
"Are you sure?" Koe looked at Caster.
Caster didn't hide her concern. “One thing is for sure, my spell detected a servant. After observing their and their master’s trajectory, I am sure they are heading towards us."
Koe became confused.
'Why ?'
How did this happen? He had done his best to hide his status as a master and hadn’t even left home as a result.
He even asked Caster to put a barrier around his house to conceal it.
Barriers created by Caster specialled in concealment.
But now, a deadly pair was heading towards him.
It was absurd.
After considering the possibilities and options available to him, Koe finally made up his mind.
“Caster, remove all of the barriers and erase all of our traces. We’re evacuating before they arrive.”
Koe assumed the master heading towards his home was a magus skilled in detection magecraft. That was the reason why they could see through Caster’s barrier.
Instead of exposing himself and fighting, Koe decided to flee.
After all, he hadn’t finished the second stage of the plan, thus he couldn’t utilize Caster’s full potential.
Caster servants were great magus, and as magus, they needed magic to use magecraft.
Due to Koe’s low quality magic circuits, he couldn’t handle the mana consumption needed to support Caster.
If Assassin were present, he’d stand and fight.
Assassin consumed less mana when fighting compared to Caster.
Although Caster didn’t know what Koe was thinking, she still followed his orders.
After talking with Koe for the last few days, she knew Koe was very rational and introspective.
Illya arrived at the gate of the Emiya residence.
After thinking for a bit, Illya entered the Emiya residence.
She was met with a normal looking residence.
"So, this is where Kiritsugu spent his final days?"
Illya looked around her, memories swirling through her mind.
Then, Berserker suddenly appeared.
Roaring like a beast, he tried to speak to Illya.
“What is it ,Berserker?” Illya didn't understand what Berserker was saying.
Illya speculated on what Berserker was trying to convey.
Upon seeing Berserker wanting to chase something, Illya gave him her approval. Berserker then jumped into the air after something.
Caster, who was flying with Koe, suddenly increased her speed.
Although Koe understood why Caster did this, he was still frustrated.
'Should I use a command spell to summon Assassin now?' Koe imagined the worst case scenario.
“Caster, can you place down a trap to slow our enemy down?”
Caster responded telepathically. [I can, but because we are in a hurry it’ll be rather weak]
"That’s fine, just do it."
Caster then left several magic circles in the air, each of them disappearing after a moment.
Koe started to think about his next move.
The thing pursuing them was obviously a servant, and probably an expert hunter at that.
Due to this, the servant was able to track them despite Caster removing their traces.
'Is it Archer?
Archer was Koe’s first suspect, due to the class’ immense level of vigilance .
However, if it were Archer, why was it in pursuit? Archer would have shot them down by now.
'Hm, it’s unlikely to be Archer.'
Then, Koe had an idea.
Koe told Caster his plan via telepathy.
Caster changed directions, they weren’t going to converge with Assassin at the agreed meeting spot.
With Assassin around, Koe didn’t need to fear any attacker.
However, he changed his plans.
[Are you sure about this, master]
"Of course not." Koe answered confidently.
Caster was again amused at his response.
Then Koe telepathically told Assassin his new plan.
Left alone in the house, Illya began to run after Berserker.
. . .
A forest at the edge ofFuyuki city.
A man with a terrifying aura was walking alone.
Sensing energy fluctuating near him, the man became vigilant and located the disturbance’s source.
"Who is there ?"
The man began to prepare himself, he knew the one approaching was no ordinary human.
Then from behind the trees a laugh could be heard. It was loud and arrogant
"Kuahahahaha."
Aman with golden hair emerged from behind a tree.
The figure startled the man for a moment, but it soon passed.
“Gilgamesh, scram! I have no quarrel with you.”
The man treated Gilgamesh with familiarity.
"Kuaha. Mongrel, I will forgive your impudence this time. You’ve entertained me.”
Gilgamesh and the man faced each other, each giving off sharp killing intent
Gilgamesh snorted, "I granted you mercy, yet you still dare to stand in my presence?"
Recalling his memories, the man managed to control his excessive emotions.
He lsimmered his killing intent and lowered his head.
“My apologies, King of kings, Great hero Gilgamesh. I don't mean to belittle you, but I don't want to have a pointless fight with you."
The man knew of Gilgamesh's arrogance, therefore he tried to debase to avoid unnecessary fighting.
"Ha ha." Gilgamesh was amused by the man's behavior. “Although it’s good you understand your position, I can’t just let you go.”
Gilgamesh's gaze seemed to pierce through the man.
“Why is a king like you focusing on someone like me? I’m no king."
Gilgamesh haughtily looked at the man. “Your filthy mouth can’t escape with flattery. There is no hiding your secrets."
Gilgamesh was the oldest heroic spirit in human history, he also had a treasury that held almost all the treasures owned by humans.
One of his treasures could investigate a person.
The man stopped acting and instead stood up straight.
"If you already knew, then why haven’t you acted yet?" The man became aggressive.
He didn't want to fight Gilgamesh because his revenge came first.
With a harsh tone, Gilgamesh replied. “You are a walking disaster to this world. This world is my garden, thus it is only natural I get rid of any pests that harm my garden."
A golden portal appeared around Gilgamesh and started to fire out various weapons.
The man nimbly dodged all the weapons while keeping his distance from Gilgamesh.
"Gilgamesh!" The man shouted loudly, his anger had been unleashed.
"Don't force me, even you will have a hard time against me."
"A mongrel dares to bark back at me?" Gilgamesh became furious and increased the Gate of Babylon portal to fire out more weapons.
Seeing that Gilgamesh couldn’t be reasoned with, the man attacked.
Vivid flame shadows began to rise and grow from all over his body. the black flame shadow towards Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh snorted, but as the black flame shadow began to approach him, he realized that there was something else in the attack.
Something he was very familiar with and had even felt before.
He seemed to understand what was going on "Hahaha.. So that's how it is."

The black flame shadows seemed to move by their own will as they fiercely attacked Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh summoned his possessions to ward off the attack, but the black flame shadows could corrode anything they touched.
Unlike ordinary flames that simply burned things, these black flame shadows destroyed the core of whatever they touched.
Not even Gilgamesh's weapons could withstand this corrosive effect.
Gilgamesh recalled something that happened in the past, something that happened during the previousHoly Grail War.
The treasure protecting Gilgamesh was struck, causing it to fall to the ground before crumbing to ash.
Gilgamesh flew through the air, doding the black flame shadow while summoning another treasure from the Gate of Babylon..
. . .
After being wounded by Berserker, Bazett went to find a place to rest.
But while she was walking in a crowd of people, she met a woman with short black hair.
When the woman walked past her, Bazeet instantly became tense and was left paralzyed for a moment.
[A Master!]
Even Lancer couldn't hide his surprise.
But the short black haired woman simply ignored Bazett and Lancer, who was in his astral form.
Then after a few steps, the woman stopped and turned to look towards Bazett.
She opened her mouth but no sound came out, instead they heard a telepathic message few could hear.
"Oh, Lancer." The voice had a cheerful tone. "Have you met someone who uses black flames?"
Both Bazett and Lancer could hear her.
Seeing no reaction from neither Bazett nor Lancer, the woman felt disappointed and continued on her way.
[What the hell was that? Who exactly was that woman? No, more importantly why is something like that here?]
Bazett felt goosebumps all over her body when she heard the woman's voice.
When she came to, the woman was gone.
. . .
After hearing from Koe, Assassin immediately changed her destination.
She immediately headed towards the place Koe mentioned.
On her way, she accidentally met a pair also jumping through the air
Both sides were shocked when they saw each other.
Archer and Rin had just fled from Sakura while Assassin was rushing elsewhere.
Assassin also stopped when she saw them.
[Archer.] Rin called out.
[Yes, she is a servant.]
Archer took note of Assassin’s untidy and unkempt appearance and armor.
[What now, master?] Archer asked Rin, they're quite far from Sakura now.
Rin thought for a moment, then said. [What are you waiting for, attack her.]
Rin jumped from Archer's hands and landed safely.
Archer obeyed and began to attack Assassin.
Assassin simply ignored Archer, her mission came first.
Seeing Assassin had no intention of fighting, Archer didn’t chase after her.
With a final attempt, he fired several arrows at Assassin, however none of them hit their target.
Rin and Archer were surprised at where Assassin was running towards.
She was running towards Sakura.
"Archer!" Rin called out in surprise.
Archer watched Assassin disappear from his sight.
"What happened?" Rin asked in frustration.
"What now, Master?"
Rin snapped her feet and gritted her teeth. "Let's follow her."
"Are you sure ?" Archer asked again.
Rin nodded her head, then added. "This time, we’ll keep our distance"
Archer then put his arm around Rin and ran after Assassin.
. . .
Sensing his target changing directions, Berserker followed suit.
Along the way, he ran into Caster’s traps.
It only slowed him down slightly, not a single scratch could be seen on his body.
Illya also followed after Berserker when he changed trajectories.
Meanwhile, while flying at full speed, Caster suddenly felt energy violently fluctuate near their destination.
[Caster.] Koe asked to confirm what they just felt
[There seems to be another servant fighting nearby.]
Koe's face began to darken, he initially planned to lure the servant pursuing them into a trap and kill them.
But now, a foreign variable had entered his plans.
Even a small magus like Koe knew how strong the servant fighting nearby was.
Koe decided to change his plans.
[Caster, we will change direction again. We’ll use that servant fighting to obstruct the one chasing us and escape.]
Koe always preferred the safest and most assured strategy.
Koe then added. [There's no need to enter their battlefield, you just need to lead the servant chasing us into the fight before teleporting away.]
Koe also began plan Assassin’s next action.
In total, there seemed to be at least three servants nearby.
Since Koe had two servants, perhaps by using the chaos occuring between the three servants fighting, he might be able to defeat all three in one fell swoop.
He would use two stones to kill three birds.
Koe informed Assassin that the plan was changing once again.
. . .
Originally, Assassin was supposed to go to the mana ‘farm’ Caster had prepared.
She arrived there before Koe’s new message could reach her.
Koe’s original plan was simple, the only thing he needed was mana to make up for his low quality magic circuits..
Thus, he planned to take his servant to this place that collected life energy, a mana farm.
With Assassin’s help and mana from the ‘farm’, Caster could use all of her abilities.
With one against two, the result was already predetermined
But now, the Assassin has arrived at the 'farm'.
All she found was an empty street devoid of even a single trace of life.
The only thing that remained was a trace of strongly repulsive energy.
Assassin carefully explored the area.
Suddenly a bandage-like tentacle with a striped red line around it,attacked the Assassin from the shadows.
Assassin summoned her sword and parried the tentacle.
But it didn't end there as other tentacles started to pop up and attack Assassin from all directions,
Met with this onslaught, Assassin no longer held back, however the tentacles were endless.
Over time, their number only increased.
When one of the tentacles managed to slip through the Assassin's defenses and touch her left shoulder, a foreign energy flowed from the tentacle.
But then, an aura pulsing with destruction and ruin pushed the foreign energy away.
Assassin had used her special power, covering her body and sword with an aura full of destruction and ruin.
Her skin turned paler, her hair became more matted, her armor cracked more, and her sword deformed even more due to her aura.
Then at that moment, a telepathic message entered the Assassin's ears, informing her that there was a change of plans.
Seeing that the tentacles could not match her aura, Assassin easily escaped from the encirclement of the tentacles.
"Archer." Rin was so shocked that she couldn't even speak.
"What the hell was that servant?"
"I mean, look at her appearance, she seemed nearly dead, but she's stronger than any ordinary servant."
Archer had observed Assassin in more detail compared to Rin.
Then, Archer's expression changed and he looked behind him.
The man’s and Gilgamesh’s fight was getting bigger.
Even Archer, who was rather far away, could sense it.
Rin watched Assassin flee towards where Archer was looking, she was quite confused.
“Archer, what do we do now?”
Rin couldn’t process the barrage of events that had just occurred.
“That servant is heading towards a fight between other servants.”
"What? Are all masters and servants this impatient” Rin sighed, then added. "Let's observe from afar and see what happens."
. . .
Gilgamesh and the stranger continued to fight, despite the collateral damage.
The forest was torn asunder and the land cracked beneath the power unleashed
The black flame shadow around the man’s body almost seemed alive and human.
Like a disjointed beast tide, the black flame shadows fiercely bit at Gilgamesh
Both sides attacked and defended at the same time.
Using magecraft, Illya sped up to regroup with Berserker, she had a bad feeling about this.
Caster arrived with Koe at the outer boundary of the battle arena.
Caster grew gloomy as she felt the impact of the ongoing battle.
“Caster, what about the servants chasing after us?”
Without turning her head away from the battle, Caster answered. "They will soon arrive."
Even though Casterwas distracted, she still managed to create a magic circle that could teleport them to safety.
Roaaarrrrrr.....
As soon as Koe and Caster heard that beast-like roar, Caster activated the magic circle with a blinding light.
Koe and Caster vanished.
Berserker arrived only a few seconds later..
Then, he looked towards where Gilgamesh was fighting.
By instinct, he wanted to join the battle.
In the midst of the fierce battle, the beast roar could still be heard from the far off giant.
The man and Gilgamesh looked at it.
Unsurprised, the man grinned malevolent. His plans were already in motion.
The man moved his hand, the black flame shadow that shot out of his paln turned into a crow.
The crow then flew towards the charging Berserker.
Afterwards, the man turned his entire body into a wisp of fire and flew away..
Berserker was savaged by the blazing black crow.
The crow proceeded to herd the Berserker towards Gilgamesh.
Realizing that the man had fled, Gilgamesh stopped attacking; however the black flame shadow still around him had neither gone out nor vanished.
It was only after Berserker attacked Gilgamesh did the black flames disappear.
Berserker roared at Gilgamesh, jumped, and swung his weapon towards him fiercely.
But before the Berserker's weapon could touch Gilgamesh, a golden portal from the Gate of Babylon appeared around Berserker, binding Berserker in golden chains.
No matter how strong the Berserker was, he couldn’t escape the chains.
"It's useless." Gilgamesh said sarcastically, he seemed irate.
Because his enemy had escaped while he had to deal with Berserker.
“This chain was specifically made to imprison gods.”
Illya, who was still on her way, continued to receive more troubling omens.
‘Berserker.’ She called out in worry.
Shaking off her fear, she confidently said.. "No. Berserker is the strongest, I'm sure he'll be fine.”
Koe arrived at another edge of the arena, where Assassin was waiting for him.
Seeing Assassin calmed Koe down.
Now, he didn’t need to be afraid of other servants or masters.
"What next, master?" Caster asked.
Koe turned his gaze towards Berserker, the latter of which was suspended in the air by chains.
“Who is that golden haired man?” Koe couldn't help but feel anxious upon seeing him.
The man easily subdued a servant with just a chain.
Koe, without averting his gaze, asked. “Caster, is that man a servant?”
Caster took a good look at the golden-haired man in the distance.” There's no mistaking it, that golden chain is a Noble Phantasm.”
“He is almost certainly a servant.”
With a heavy tone, Koe asked again. ”Can you beat that golden-haired man?”
Caster remained silent, in her current condition, she was no stronger than a common magus.
That left Assassin.
She looked closely at the man, then shook her head."If he gets serious, I’m not sure of my chances."
“Assassin, aren't you an expert in infiltration and assassination? Will you be able to assassinate him if Caster provides a distraction?”
If Koe couldn’t fight his enemy head-on, he would resort to other methods..
“Impossible, even though I am of the assassin class and have concealment, it is nearly impossible to catch that man by surprise.”
Then, with a changed expression, Assassin said softly” Something is coming, Master, I suggest we leave immediately. The thing coming is an enemy of all servants .”
Gilgamesh, who was still displeased with the sudden appearance of Berserker, chose to kill him.
With the Gate of Babylon, he had a vast arsenal that could smite gods.
Spears.
Swords.
And more, each one ending one of Berserker’s lives, one after the other.
Berserker was unable to fight back, the chains binding him could withstand even the powers of gods.
Through their contract, Illya could sense that the Berserker had died repeatedly over a short span. She became very anxious and quickened her pace.
She saw a dense forest in front of her and deep in the forest, she saw two figures floating in the air.
One was a man with golden hair and the other was a giant bound in golden chains.
“Berserker!!!” Illya shouted with all her might.
