Wow. If you've made it this far, then clearly I did something right.

  I cannot express in words just how much joy it brings me to know that people have read what I've spent more than two years of my life to create. I hope to continue to bring the rest of Genjo's story to you all in the years to come. For 21 years, I've had many ideas for a story that I wanted to create. [f]Alter is such an important project to me because it finally marks the very first time that I've managed to actually do it. Even so, this is only the first step.

  'Act One - Drenched in Shade' has reached its conclusion, but [f]Alter is far from over. Genjo and Ryu's chance encounter is only the beginning of a series of events that will change their lives forever. Many more characters - new and old - will find their places in the larger puzzle of this world. Several members of the immense cast of characters that play pivotal roles in their story - whether they be friends, family, or enemies - have yet to appear. Stay tuned, and you just might be surprised to see which characters take center stage.

  You may have noticed that Act One was released in bulk, containing all chapters from start to finish. This is not the planned release schedule from this point forward. Starting with Act Two onwards, [f]Alter will be updated on a chapter-by-chapter release schedule. To be honest, I only released Act One in the way that I did out of fear that not enough foundation for the setting and world would have been laid out properly in the event that I released it chapter-by-chapter. Luckily for everyone, future installments won't be too far away. That being said, I am still a college student. [f]Alter is, and always will be, a passion project that I create alongside my studies. For that reason, I am unable to provide a definitive schedule for updates at this time. Everyone's continued support and patience is tremendously important to me, so I promise it won't make y'all wait too long for the next chapter. I hope you look forward to the next installment in the saga...
