Chapter 36: Identity (2)

[POV Yra Draco Vanris]

The voices in my head… were just like always, making me mad.

[Weak.]

[Paranoid.]

[Loser.]

[Let’s Pray.]

[You should go to…]

“Shut up!”

I was getting out from Hope Hospital.

In was the third day in a row coming here.

And always, Doctor Walton talks to me, and when it appeared that our talk about what was happening was going to start, the time of our talk ends.

Something was wrong, it couldn't be that this was a coincidence, for some strange reason, he didn't want to tell me what was happening to me.

The good news is that those... illusions? that I had from time to time no longer happened, and I no longer spoke without control, saying things that were not my own words.

I began to separate those memories that were not mine, writing them down in a notebook, trying to find a meaning of where they came from, but my three-hundred-year-old mind was not able to find an answer.

It could be something complicated, or something simple.

But, at this moment I couldn't take the trouble to meditate, think about it calmly, and get the answer on my own.

The battle against that tattooed man opened my eyes even more, showing me that this world was undoubtedly not like my first world.

Not only was technology much more advanced, even having colonies in other worlds, prolonging life, curing cancer, and other things, which in my first world, as far as I knew, were impossible.

But also, magic was used.

It was a little obsolete in some respects, it would be nice to be able to analyze a person in more detail and see what the aspects of their magical cultivation are like, their magic system of this world.

But for now, that would have to wait.

I had more important things to do, like trying not to lose control of my body once again.

Weeks had passed, things had calmed down.

A few days after what happened, Elisa returned, bringing forward her return by a week, because I was not in an optimal state to take care of her.

Hana Otsuki, my dear landlord, asked to speak with me.

I told her some things, revealing some secrets that were not known to an ordinary person.

She was shocked to discover that magic existed, and that her government was hiding it.

Or rather, the world government didn't want it to be known.

I had no idea why, the real idea for such secrecy, I did not believe completely about what Alyssa told me, according to what her family knew, or Logan's crazy theories.

Keeping the knowledge to a few, and trying to hide it, was unbelievably bad for magic advancement, so who knows how advanced magic knowledge is currently.

Because of what happened, Hana begged Mei not to work at the club anymore, feeling that it was dangerous for Mei.

Mei discussed with her aunt, telling her that this was her job that she like, and was in comfort doing it, and that she was an adult already, capable of taking her own decisions.

They start arguing even more, and I stop them by telling them that I produced an idea, I told them first of course, and they agreed, then I went to my boss, and told him.

It was simple, teach the Ladies of Happiness and the Lords of Love how to defend themselves.

He liked the idea, and it was implemented, he even closed the club for two weeks, so that the staff could focus on training, and learn at least the minimum of techniques for self-defense.

And there would be designated days for each of them, to continue training.

Curiously, a certain number one man, was an exceptionally good fighter, something that one would not believe at first glance. He was incredibly strong for someone of his height, weight, and size.

Also, I offered to teach Hana, and she accepted, and Nanami joined.

Mei also took advantage, and joined if she could in the afternoons where I instructed the girls, along with Alyssa, and there were times when Logan was also there.

Thanks to this, I became a little close to Hana, and I already had a friendly relationship with her nieces.

Alyssa became even more closer to the girls, spending a lot of time especially with Nanami, who now she calls her by her nickname, Nami.

In these months, I was finally myself, with total control.

Even so, I felt that dormant power in me, wanting to come out, wanting to awaken.

But I was afraid, and until I knew what it was about, its potential, and consequences, it was better not to use it.
