Chapter 34: Awakening (10)

[POV Yra Draco Vanris]

“By midnight, we were supposed to take you there.”

I nod at her words.

“Then, it is time for us to go.”

She walks back from here, but her sight never apart from me.

I also don’t apart my sight from her, until they finally are gone.

Then, finally I breath in relief, as I look back at the five women who are here, we me.

Hana, my beautiful landlord.

Nanami and Mei, her nieces.

Elisa, the woman I have to protect.

Alyssa, my wife.

When I look at them, especially Alyssa, I feel… strange.

I want to kiss her, hug her, be close to her.

[She is our wife.]

‘Yes, she is.’

[Then there is nothing wrong to kiss her and hug her, isn´t?]

‘Yes.’

Without noticing, I was in front on her.

“Are you alright?” – she said.

“Now that I next to you, I feel better.”

Once those words come out of my mouth, I want to die, but without being capable of truly controlling myself, I kiss her one more time.

[General POV]

After the kiss, Yra looks at Alyssa, she is blushing so hard that it seems that smoke emanate from her.

‘This…?’

Alyssa can’t believe that Yra, who always maintained his distance from her, and that even was incapable of taking her hand, was now kissing her.

“You! I want a kiss next!” – screams Elisa.

“Did you hear what that woman said?”

“The old woman?”

“About where the responsible of this would be.”

Elisa nods.

“Tell your grandfather.”

“Oh!” – Elisa gives an acknowledge smile. – “Surely!”

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

As Elisa starts sending messages to her grandfather, Yra now gets closer to Hana, giving her something.

“Keys?”

“Of the Van, please, take us back to Paradise building, you know how to drive?”

“Yes.”

“Good.” – Yra then finally close his eyes, and falls unconscious on the ground, as again a bright light surrounds his body, and he is now back on his real appearance.

After sending the messages to her grandfather, Elisa gets to Yra, wanting to lift him.

“Help me!” – she said. – “We should leave immediately.”

“Why?” – ask as still scare Nanami.

What happened was something that only could be possible in games, movies, or novels, not in real life, after all, for her, and many of the average common folk, magic was just a myth.

“Soon more police would come, and surely someone from the Magical Warriors Division would be sent here.” – answer Alyssa.

“You know about them.” – Elisa was surprised by that, not expecting that someone could know about that secret organization.

“I… was from a noble family.” – answered Alyssa, making all the women surprised by that.

“Well, I would like to hear your story, but is not the time for that, come on, help me carry this heavy cutie, and let’s go from here.”

Hana nods.

And so, the women carry Yra into the van, and they leave the place.

Fifteen minutes later, eight police cars arrive, and after another fifteen minutes, two people appeared.

“Sir, this area is off limits.” – said one police.

But the man with the green cape shows him a card, showing that he was sent by the Great Council.

“Oh, sorry.”

The man nods and gets closer to the zone with his partner.

“Sergeant, the are traces of mana all over the place, it is confirmed, it was a battle between magicians.”

The sergeant nods his head.

“Jinux, the traces of battle are huge, unfortunately, it seems that someone came before us.”

Jinus, subordinate of the man in a green cape, looks at his superior with questioning eyes.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Look around, this battle, left so much destruction, the death of innocents, I see three different kinds of elements use here, so, its clearly that it was a fight between mages, but, for this, I don’t see traces of blood, clothes, nothing… except for the dead policemen and their cars, I can’t see any traces of clues around here.”

“Now that you said it, it is really weird.”

Then Jinux observe the zone even closely.

“Someone…. Did someone erase this evidence? One of the magicians?”

“Who knows, but it must be someone who knows about Blood Detection, with just a simple sample of blood, our experts in tracking could have find the magicians who did this… sadly…”

“Then now what?”

“Keep looking.”

Jinux nods his heads, and tells the policemen to get outside the zone, as he starts inspecting each place of the battlefield.

The sergeant comes closer to what was left of the Earth Wall created by Yra.

‘It’s very thick.’

He gives a strong punch.

‘And durable… it must have been even sturdy when it was undamaged, yet it was almost destroyed, proving that a powerful magic attack was used…’

“A powerful magician.” – said the sergeant, as he sees the burning police cars. – “A fire-specialist magician was one of the combatants… the other, clearly more specialized in earth and defense…”

Seeing some of the traces of mana in the zone, the sergeant trembles a little.

“It we were here; we surely would have died…”

The sergeant was just like Jinux, just a One Star Magician, known as a Rookie Magical Warrior, it was his superior magic control and skill, and also his longer time as a Magical Warrior, that he now possesses the rank of Sergeant in the division.

Probe of that was the Silver Staff he possesses, unlike the lesser Bronze Staff that Jinux has.

Before he remains thinking about the kind of power the unknown magicians possess, Jinux call him, making he go to where his subordinate was.

“What happened?”

“Look Sergeant, what I found.”

Unlike Jinux who didn’t know it, the Sergeant knew it, but not because of his rank, because many of the same ranks as him, also didn’t know what the golden engravings on the ground means, which he knew only thanks to be part of one of the Noble Houses of Sakura Island.

“We have to report this to our Captain.” – said with a serious and worry voice the Sergeant.

Seeing his serious, awe, and worry expression, Jinux knew that they have found something important, yet he didn’t ask what it means, it his superior didn’t say it, it means he didn’t have the rank or rights to know it.

Meanwhile, in his thought, the Sergeant didn’t care know about how powerful the mages were.

‘An… Awakener?’

When someone awakens for the first time, in the zone where it awakens, it leaves golden marks on the floor.

‘This is madness!’ – thought the Sergeant. – ‘A new unknown Awaken!’

Meanwhile, that awaken was still unconscious, being carry by four women to his bed.
