Eyes of Infinity
-5- Kren's Inn

-5- Kren's Inn

I slowly looked towards the window and saw the sun slowly rising. All night I have been reading the books, but mostly it is just knowledge I already know.

I head downstairs, walking through the windowed corridors. I reach the stairs and walk down.

As I reach the bottom I see the Clerk from yesterday talking to a 1.9 meter tall man. He has red hair, and one of his eyes is a light purple while the other is a darker shade.

"I promise you, he won't care about the money!"

They notice my presence and immediately stop their conversation.

"Hello sir, let me introduce myself. I'm Shaune Konnors, the owner of this establishment." The purple-eyed man introduces himself and clasps his hands together.

"I also failed to introduce myself last night, I am Lucy Konnors, wife of Shaune."

I can sense an air of greediness around them.

"Sorry for bothering you, but might I know what noble house you are from?" Shaune gently smiles as he asks me this question.

"Oh? What makes you think that I'm a noble?" Apparently some conclusion has been reached.

"Someone with that amount of money, cannot be simple a commoner."

You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.

"Well let's just leave it at, you don't need to know."

"Very well sir."

I sense magic emerging from his eyes, he's casting some sort of tier five investigation magic. This man can cast stronger magic than most humans I guess. I quickly cast stronger anti-investigation magic than him.

"I'm sorry but I must be going now." I say trying to get out of there as quick as possible.

----------------------------------------

I leave the Inn and start to walk towards the Market District in search of a guild. I need something for me to do while I'm here.

Eventually I reach the 'Adventurer's Guild'. It looks like a large three-story building, with brick-red roofs and wooden walls. Further down the street is a larger pure stone building. It has a pillared roof around the perimeter. The stone was inscribed with different runes, and embedded with different purple and red gems. This building was the 'Mage's Guild'. It mainly was used for magical experimentation and research, a more fitting name would be the Mage's academy. It sometimes helps the 'Adventurer's Guild' with battlemages.

My mind parts over which guild to join.
