Chapter 6

Seoul, South Korea, KFC

Kade sat in the bustling city inside KFC, savoring the last of his twenty pieces of fried chicken. He had been pondering a peculiar question ever since he first consumed another being which is, would he still experience hunger even after consuming someone? The mound of chicken bones before him confirmed his suspicions. Despite devouring all twenty pieces, he felt no different. It seemed his unique method of consumption provided all the sustenance he needed. This revelation, however, did little to solve his other pressing issues.

Kade's bigger concern was his lack of money and a place to call home. Without identification or proof of citizenship, he couldn't easily sell the essence stones he planned to collect from dungeons. This left him with a single course of action, head to the Korean Hunter Association and solve his bureaucratic problems.

South Korea, Hunter Association Main Building

Kade approached the imposing glass doors of the Korean Hunter Association. Inside, the building was quieter than he had anticipated. A few people were registering as hunters, while others were awaiting re-evaluation. He made his way to the reception desk where a young lady, engrossed in her work, glanced up as he approached.

"Good afternoon, how can I help you today?" she asked in fluent English, noting his foreign appearance.

"Hello, young lady. Could I please speak with your supervisor?" Kade requested politely, flashing a friendly smile.

"Yes, of course, but could I get your name and the reason you want to speak to my supervisor?" she responded.

"Of course," Kade replied, providing his details which he could only do verbally as he got nothing to show.

Inside the Office

Jung Gi-Soo was enjoying a rare moment of tranquility with his coffee when his phone rang, shattering his peace.

"Ughh, and I thought it was gonna be a good day," he muttered, reluctantly answering the call.

"What do you need?" he snapped, forgoing formalities.

"Good afternoon, sir. There's a gentleman here that wants to speak with you," the receptionist informed him.

Sighing, Gi-Soo rose from his chair, preparing himself for what was likely to be another tedious issue. "Alright, be there in five."

Back with Kade

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Kade was directed to wait for a few minutes. He took a seat, observing the sparse crowd. Soon, a slightly disheveled man approached him with a look of mild irritation.

"Hello sir, I'm Jung Gi-Soo, the deputy manager for the Evaluation Department. What can I do for you today?"

"Good day, Mr. Jung Gi-Soo. I want to register as a hunter in Korea, but I have a bit of a problem, you see," Kade began.

Gi-Soo could already sense the complications. "What seems to be the problem, sir?"

"You see, I'm from the US and I don't have any identification on me. I'm not a Korean citizen, but I want to migrate here and officially become Korean. In exchange, I would give your country something very valuable" Kade explained, smiling confidently.

Gi-Soo was taken aback by the boldness of the foreigner's statement. However, he couldn't dismiss him outright as that would make him appear incompetent. "My apologies, sir, but I would first have to see what you have that is so valuable."

Without missing a beat, Kade replied, "Myself."

Meanwhile, on the top floor

Woo JinChul stood behind the seated chairman of the Association, Mr. Go Gunshee.

"Today was a good day, Jinchul. I didn't have to see those old fools," the chairman mused, gazing out at the city.

"Indeed, Chairman," Jinchul replied, his expression as stoic as ever.

"I just don't get it. Why do you always stand behind me even when no one is here? It's not like anyone will try and kill me in my own office," the chairman said, lost in thought.

(A.N: how do we tell him lads?)

Before Jinchul could respond, his phone rang. He answered, only to be met with a torrent of words from Gi-Soo. "Sir, I need you to come down here immediately. Someone from America wants to register as a hunter in our country. I think it's better for you to see for yourself how ridiculous this guy is."

"Hoh, it seems we can finally pay them back for stealing one of our S-rank hunters," the chairman remarked, having overheard the conversation. He stood up and headed for the door. "What are you waiting for? Let's go see this gentleman and find out if he's as ridiculous as Gi-Soo claims.

Jinchul followed the chairman downstairs, both curious and cautious about the stranger who had walked into their midst.

Evaluation room

Inside the evaluation room stood Kade and Gi-Soo, reading the data in his hands Gi-Soo was a bit jealous looking at Kade's evaluation result

Magic strength: A

Physical prowess: ??

This was an unusual sight as normally you only have to perform the Magic strength testing, but Kade persisted in doing physical evaluation as well, seemingly confident about his physical fitness

And he wasn't confident for nothing, Gi-Soon has never seen anyone like him apart from when the Chairman stretch his body from time to time

The proof of this was on the next room, the Combat practice room, the floor and wall was full of massive crater despite their sturdiness

As they wait for the upper management to arrive, the door open and from Gi-Soo's surprise the first person he saw is The Chairman himself

Without a second thought Gi-Soo immediately ran towards them with full speed and vowed his head obidiently

"Welcome Chairman Go Gunshee, I didn't expect to see you here today"

"Haha, don't mind me I'm just here to observe the fella you told us about, I do understand the magic strenght being A but what's with the Physical prowess?"

The chairman said as he look at the paper on Gi-soo's hand without him even noticing the Chairman was looking

Gi-Soo chuckled and scratched his head as he inform the chairman about Kade

"I don't mean any offence Sir, but the only time I see the kind of physical prowess he possesses was when I watch you use the combat room"

Hearing this Jinchul and Gunshee was surprise with their eyes open widely looking at Kade
