Author's note : First, I post this chapte late, once again but well I did 1000 words more in this one... So the main point in this chapter is at the end, so if you want to vote in the poll, read the chapter, and the author's note at the end of this one. Following a bloody path in the forest, covered by body parts of different creatures disappearing or not, depending of the monster, we could hear someone chanting, overwhelmed by madness.

I walk ! I walk ! While randomly killing some weaklings !

I run ! I run ! Welcoming those dead souls with my blade !

I fly ! I fly ! Annihilating them while smiling !

I smile ! I smile ! Laughing at their demise !

I laugh ! I laugh ! While hearing all their cries !

I feel ! I feel ! Nothing when someone dies !

It was Kayne who was laughing while killing new kind of goblins, they were at the same level as before but they couldn't be compared with normal ones. They used, swords, spears, shields, bows and magic to attack.

Strategies were used to corner and to kill him, he had to use his qi to kill them. Creating a bow while he jumped high in the sky and launching dozens of arrows piercing their skulls. When he touched the ground surrounded by goblins he created lightning magic by combining magic and physics.

All the goblins were burned to a crisp.

“Ah it feels much better like that ! It hasn't even been a day yet but I already feel tired... Ahahah, who would have though that a few hundred of goblins would become this strong. Time to find somewhere to sleep.”

Using top speed to run through the forest, Kayne spotted a cave and slept in it. When he woke up, he left the cave and began to walk in a random direction. A few minutes later he spotted five beings whit his qi.

“Let's just break some skulls.”

When I arrived where these beings were, I was welcomed by four endermen surrounding a dying person, they approached the girl and began to stretch their hands toward her, black mist began to form on the girl and she floated in the air.

“What's that ?”

Interested by what was going on, I erased my presence and observed the scene before me. The mist was entering the girl by her eyes, nose, mouth and ears, she began to convulse and her eyes turned white.

“Oh ?”

Her limbs darkened, her bones shattered, her skin disappeared and the mist formed a black sphere around the girl. When the mist disappeared the girl was turned into an enderman...

“Mmh ? It's interesting, I wonder if she kept her mind intact ?”

While saying such thing I ran around them creating hundreds of water threads to trap them. After finishing that, I jumped high in the sky creating condensed bullet of water and shot them at the endermen. One of them died, while the others tried to teleport but when they wanted to pass through the trap they were cut into pieces. The only remaining one was the girl.

“It was fast, but I expected it to be since I already knew how they fight. So what are you girl ?”

Approaching the last enderman I stopped before her and starred into her eyes, then I saw the name above her.

“Sun ? Then, you're doomed to live into darkness, I'm going to kill you now, I don't want to let you suffer the same darkness that I went through.”

Finishing my sentence while remembering the pain I suffered in the past, I created a sword made out of water and cut through her chest.

'But it sure is interesting now that human can be turned into monsters.... or is it just a skill unique to endermen ? Either way I just have to hunt them.'

I cultivated on top of a tree surrounded by thread of mana and qi to know of everything approaching me. Nothing happened during the night and I practically broke through master level, I just have to condense my qi into two balls of opposite forces.

When the sun appeared I continued to walk through the forest, searching for something to do.

After a few days passed in this boring forest, I collected around one thousand cores and life coins.

“Ah man, I'll just condense my qi tonight...”

Sitting cross legged I began to wander into my soul, finding my qi which was circulating in my body, I willed it to move toward my head. Normally there are three points to condense your qi into, the first one is the waist, this place is used as a condensing point by those who seek power from qi, the heart is used by those who seek to create with qi and lastly the head is to control your qi.

The choice is definitive, so I thought about it for quite a while and decided that if I control mi qi I can strengthen my body and create even if it's weaker than the one who specialize in it, it's better to be able to do the two and having better control over my power.

When a ball of qi was formed within my head I cut it in two and followed what the dragons told me during my training, “To condense your qi, there is no set method, the result is the only thing which matter..... of course it's possible that if you do it like a fool you will die.”

I willed one ball to form a ring and to turn towards the right and the other ball was turned into a ring which turned towards the left. I began to increase their speed several times and approached them.

When they touched each other, the rings began to turn faster and faster as if to show to the other that they were the fastest. Willing them to enter each other and to superpose their rings showed no sign of slowing down until it brutally stopped when they perfectly formed a single ring.

The power exerted by each ring was nullified by the other, mist then began to form into a ball inside the ring, at the moment the ball was formed it solidified and my qi was condensed.

Qi surged from inside of me, and it began to circulate through my body at twice the speed as before, giving me more power.

“Ah ! Finally !”

I trained for a few more days to control my new strength and continued to explore the forest until I found an interesting building made out of black stone, the door was made out of wood with something engraved on it, “Last nightmare”.

“A nightmare ? We will see, but it sure is surprising to see something like that here.”

Not pondering about it any more, I opened the door and was welcomed by a totally different thing, it was....

You are the 126 to enter the labyrinth, “Last nightmare”. May the darkness be kind to you, in this forbidden land. You can't exit this labyrinth until you find the exit, clear it or die.

New quest acquired !

Quest : Find the truth about the elven vampire.

In this quest you will have to :

Reach the last floor of the labyrinth and find the city of the pure blood clan.

Find the truth about their queen and why they were sent there.

Save, kill or let them perish on their own.

Rewards : Ten levels, and items depending of your last choice.

Difficulty : Nightmare.

“Last nightmare huh ? A quest, it's becoming more like a game, like hell I will do such a boring thing, I'll just find their queen and fight her.”

After saying that I began to explore the labyrinth, it was darker than I thought but it's not a problem to me. The first monsters appeared a few minutes after I entered this place, they were

“Then I'll just kill those bitches with my daggers.”

Running towards them, I created two daggers and jumped above the first human like monster, which had grey skin, fangs and claws. Touching the ground behind him, I turned back and sliced at its neck.

I continued to run, dodging to the right side an attack and using lightning magic to destroy the brain of a second vampire doll. I turned my daggers into a spear which I launched towards a third monster then, I ran at a fourth one while surrounding my body with water controlled and condensed by wind magic into high pressured blades of water.

Two vampires doll jumped at my back but were instantly cut in two by the water blades however when I my fist reached the fourth monster I made a mistake, I underestimated my enemies. Two of them condensed mana into a ball then they shot it at me from the right and left side. I couldn't evade the one at the left and was sent flying in a wall.

Third person POV :

Kayne's gaze grew cold as he stood up, killing intent couldn't be felt, no presence could be felt actually. It was as if the person before the monsters was just an illusion devoid of life... it was how kayne was when he took a fight seriously. Apart from the dragons, nobody fought him in this state.

With a cold voice as if proclaiming to be the reaper, his mouth opened.

“I'll kill you.”

Because of his own mistake Kayne could have died if it was a stronger opponent, so when his fear of death came back... he was disgusted of himself and his carefree mind in this world. Underestimating an opponent, something that can cost your life, he decided that each time he will fight from now on, it will be with his cold mind devoid of emotions.

Kayne used movement skill from the martial arts he learned and disappeared from his position, appearing behind a vampire doll while its head rolled on the ground.

Hundreds of threads were made with water, wind and earth magic and were floating around Kayne as if to protect him from any harm.

While he created around a thousand of needles with his qi and launched them toward his enemies, he used his skill to modify his bones to turn his arms into sharpened blades while keeping his hands. With his top speed he rushed at the monster positioned at the rear and cut their neck open.

Looking back at the slaughter, he saw some strange worms leaving the neck of the monsters, lvl.18 HP 98>

Without waiting he used fire magic with wind to create an explosion burning them to a crisp.

Kayne's POV :

'Fucking ants !'

“You don't have the right to touch me vampires, fucking piece of trashes !”

'Anyway, it's why they were vampire dolls huh ? The true vampires are these parasites, not that it matters.'

I continued to kill vampire dolls for some time and found stairs to go to the floor below. This time there was not only vampire dolls but also vampire hounds and raven.

I killed them without wasting any time and also found the entrance of the third floor. This time, the scenery changed from stones to a forest. I don't know how a forest could be made here but I also don't care, I just wish to kill all these vampires.

Strangely there was no monsters in the area, I just found a stone with something engraved on it, ''As ordered by the god of justice, the price shall be paid by the entire elven vampire race until the end of time.''

“Hm ?”

I continued to explore the forest while pondering on the things I just read... but dismissing it after finding another stone with this time written on it, ''By asking the help from a god of doom your race will have to suffer the consequences.''

In the end I found more of them ant it was written, ''Queen of the elven vampire you are cursed by the gods, you doomed your race for eternity, behave of your sins in this jail devoid of mana. Never will you see the light which was granted to you ever again, by my name of god of justice I condemn your race with eternal sleep and you, little queen I curse you with immortality !''

I didn't find any other stones and began to walk toward the third floor which just contained other kind of beings parasited by vampires. At the end of this floor I found a huge double door made out of steel, there was dozens of chains radiating white light, not allowing the door to open.

However, when I launched an attack at full strength, it broke apart, not to put it simply, it seemed as if thousands of years passed and it could break with just strength alone.

The doors opened on their own, revealing a town with a palace a magnificent palace at its centre. It was dark, darker than the other rooms.

I observed the buildings, made out of greyish stones and sculpted in different shapes, I walked through the streets, there was not a single living thing except from me. This city could have been quite beautiful in the past but now it's only mysterious, losing its beauty.

I continued to walk towards the palace since the queen should be there.

Ten minutes later I stepped into the palace, the walls lost all colours as well as the ground, darker than the city I could still see well enough.

Walking through the palace I began to see sculptures of people kneeling and pierced by two spears...

'Why are they kneeling ?'

As I said that I saw the thousands of people kneeling, they were surely the elven vampire...then, the one they are kneeling for is their queen I suppose.

Walking a bit more, someone appeared in my sight, in front of those kneeling men and women, the queen could be seen pierced by dozen of golden spears and enchained by the same chains I destroyed on the door.

How I could know she was the queen ? She was the only one living, like it said, she was cursed with immortality in these forgotten lands. She was quite beautiful, with raven black hair, her eyes open but staring at nothing, a face which could be called as perfect as her body however, there was no emotions....

“I see, so she became emotionless during all these years ? And I thought she had become mad...”

Touching her pale skin, I reached for her left hand and tore it apart but, it regenerated once again and the chaienveloped her hand.

“Regenerative ability as good as mine or even better ? Interesting. Ahah ! We'll see how much time you can stay like that.”

'It became interesting !' Seeing her level I was a little surprised,

Since she's immortal a weakness doesn't exist and her HP can't be put in number....

I began to use mana to create a whirlwind of fire and launched it at her, then, I used my qi to strengthen me at maximum and created a blue spear which was then launched with all my power towards her heart.

Her body burned and shook while pierced by the spear but her face stayed emotionless, not reacting to my presence at all.

“Well it's not interesting at all, she has completely lost her mind... there is no hope to hear her cries of pain.”

Saying that I was preparing to leave but I thought of something which could maybe make her gain her emotions... smiling like a devil who found his new plaything I turned my back at her and talked.

“It's such a waste to leave all those people here, maybe I should kill them to stop their eternal sleep ? Or not... I don't know, maybe I should turn the women back to normal and let them sleep while I do them some kind of things ?”

“Or Should I let them all burn in hell before their queen ? Since she doesn't want to fight me it seems like I'll have to make her whole race pay the price....”

When I used the same words as god 'pay the price' her face twitched a bit... I found how to make her react.

“By the fault of a single cursed queen, I shall punish the entire elven vampire race ! Ahahahah ! Make me hear your cries of pain ants ! You are nothing more than stepping stones for me !”

I was prepared to kill all those vampires if it was needed, so when I created an axe and was about to behead the first one I heard...

“s....t....o.....p......please.......”

“What ? You decided to talk ? But I can't hear well from here, also, I don't want you to talk but to fight.... weakling !”

Preparing to kill once again, I was interrupted not by an emotionless voice but by an angered one.

“Don't touch my peoples ! I'll kill you human !”

I turned back at her and was really surprised to see her face completely changed, her eyes were staring at me and they turned totally red filled with killing intent, her mouth was filled with fangs, claws appeared at her finger and lightning began to form around her.

She was for a person like me, a true goddess, the only kind of women I can love, the only kind of existence I can love and protect, someone filled with strong willpower, someone strong and above all someone beautiful.

“Beautiful....” Talking out loud by mistake I stared into her eyes? I created two swords and said

“If you entertain me then, I will not kill them... are you prepared to kill, little queen ?” I said while turning totally cold and erasing any presence of my body... I don't even know if my heart was actually beating.

“I'll kill you human ! I'll make you suffer !”

As she said that she tore her own limbs apart times and times again to escape from the chains, and finally after one hour of hopeless struggle I used water and wind magic to create ice onto the chains and they broke like paper... I don't know if it's because I'm strong but- no wait !

'It was written that there was no mana where she was to spend an eternity.... so that means that the chains can't withstand mana past a certain point ! Ahah I'm a genius !'

“So I will begin.”

Saying that I disappeared into mist I created and bagan to once again use threads of water with earth inside and ran around her without a sound, I hide my killing intent as if I was not fighting her...

When she began to move I found out that she doesn't need any presence or killing intent to detect me, just my blood... she's a vampire so it was to be expected. She launched at me hundreds of fire balls.

'So it's a level 415 monster.'

I protected myself with the threads of high pressured water which cut through these fire balls. I jumped towards a walls and used mana to create lightning and act as a magnet so I could run on the walls while launching arrows towards her with my qi.

She evaded all my attacks and created a crimson spear with magic. She began to run at me with killing intent and tried to pierce my heart however, I was trained by dragons. I evaded her attack by standing on top of her weapon with my hands hand used lightning magic on it.

She was hit but it was just the first step, while she was momentarily paralysed by my attack I used the threads of water to envelop her body and cut through her skin, I willed the earth powder inside, to enter her body.

When I succeeded I hide my actions by freezing the water to make it looks like I wanted to freeze her, but she broke it with one hand and before I was hit I created a clone of me behind her with two daggers.

I smiled and disappeared before her by using the surrounding darkness. I created dozens of clones which were sent to distract her while I used the earth I poured into her body to circulate everywhere inside her. A minute later, she was filled by earth but didn't know it, I willed the earth to solidify and stop her movements.

Her eyes went wide when she discovered what I did but I was not willing to let her go like that so I used all my clones and my top speed to run at her from all directions with a longsword and cut her into tiny pieces.

“Is that all you got cursed queen ?”

While I said that a hand reached behind me and stabbed into my heart...

“Fool, you think that the great me will lose to a mere human like you ? Die already !”

I began to smile wryly, to think that she could escape my awareness, but it was her the fool here, while she wanted to take back her hand, I pierced it with my bones, I then turned my left leg into a blade and cut her legs I then cut her hand and pierced her eyes with two needles of qi.

I used these needles of qi to infiltrate her body and soul, cutting all access to her mana pool and submitted her to me.

“It's you the fool, to think that I'm a human... ahah, there is a lot of things for you to learn before you can kill me, cursed queen.”

She was kneeling on the ground her head low and muttered...

“How....? Your soul is the same as a human, just stronger than the majority of them... but your body is not that of a human... your blood as well... taste strange... as if an unlimited power was pouring inside me from it.... just what are you ?”

“Not a human any more, it's all I know but should I kill those people of your now ?”

Fearing that I will really do it she said.

“Wait please, don't kill them ! I ! I !....”

“Ahah don't worry, it was entertaining... so I will keep my word and leave them be... but it sure surprised me that you could escape my awareness, the fight began by me playing with you while calculating your strength since you seemed strong but... weaker than I thought... Was it not for the last attack forcing me to be serious for a second I would have killed these people out of boredom.”

“Ah ?”

“So, prepare yourself, you will suffer a bit....”

She began to scream in pain when I willed my qi to leave her body, burning her from the inside of her soul.

“Now then, I shall leave.”

Preparing to leave since I finished my fight I was once again intercepted.

“Wait ! You are also immortal right ? When I pierced your heart you didn't die and your wound was immediately healed !”

“Immortal ? No, if you are strong enough you can kill me, it's just that my blood doesn't need a heart any more, I suppose.”

“Hmm can you hear my request please...?”

“Yeah ?” I asked, doubting her a bit...

“It seems like my place isn't beside my people any more, could you help me leave this place ?”

“Help you ? I wonder ? Are you thinking of betraying and killing me after some time ?”

“Ah...?”

“Well it seems like you want to kill me to protect your secret as well as your people... since it's interesting I'll let you travel with me, however, are you prepared for it ? I'm not going to travel towards dream like place, I will go towards hell like place to grow stronger.... follow me if you want, but I will bot wait for you on the way.”

“....?”

“If you want to kill me, you have to be stronger.”

As I said that coldly, I was smiling, smiling for the fact that I will not be alone any more but accompanied by an immortal.

When I walked towards the exit, my sight darkened and I fell unconscious....

Author's note : For those who take time to read this note, thanks ! First I want to say that during those 3 weeks of absence I think ? I thought a lot about my fanfiction and it seemed like I was bringing the end of humanity a little too much, which was not like I wanted it to be... so I reflected on it and found two different path that my story will take and of course you will vote for the one you prefer in the poll.... I also have one I like more than the other but I can't ignore you as well.

First path : When Kayne will wake up he will find himself in his bed, one year before the apocalypse, however I found an interesting and fantasy like plot as to why he came back in the past with all of his power of course (it has a link with his class of course). I had a hard time to find a plot for this one and thinking about it a little more, it's interesting to see how he will react maybe he will save his family ?

Second path : When he wake up, a new power will be granted upon him by his race, it will be the fourth one I think ? The plot after this event will of course stay the same but a little modified.

I'm sorry for those who already voted but Parasiticdragon proposed an idea, I say this person is a genius ! Go read the first comment for more details about the third path which is better I think and is the most likely to get choosen by me even if you don't vote for it.
