Chapter 25

We all waited nervously... A strange crunchy sound was getting closer. The creatures resembled bats... But in fact, their mouths were large and looked like kitchen graters... They also had venom spines on their paws.

"Don't let them get close! Try not to neutralize the attacks of others in the group."

I immediately started attacking monsters with shadow blades. Lately, I've also practiced throwing a dozen or so blades at once. It turned out to be very effective! Shadow blades were also much faster than fireballs.

Sunny joined in too, her water attacks didn't do much damage yet, but they were effective in hindering and slowing down the monsters' flight.

"I've counted at least 500 of them!" - someone alarmed us.

500 of them?! Craziness!

"Give me a moment!" - I took a deep breath and released a big wave of fire when they gave me an open field to attack.

Monsters burned and fell to the ground, writhing desperately. I managed to get rid of a large part of the monsters in front of me, but that gap was quickly filled.

I gathered my strength a second time. Such a big wave of fire cost me a lot, but I wasn't the only one doing it now.

After a countdown on the mental line, I and two other strong fire Exceeds unleashed powerful streams of fire. Most in one fell swoop!

After this move, we hid inside the circle and the others gave their best during the fight.

"You're really good at fire magic... For me, one breath like this is the maximum so far." - said Crimson, Exceed with red fur with orange markings.

"Thank you... I've done this move many times in dungeons... It was a necessity for me to push my limits... More than once I felt like my lungs were burnt." - I explained.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"The fact that you survived in the dungeon... We're all impressed. You're just talented in magic!" - Firio, he is a crazy combination. He is talented in using fire and water! The pattern on his fur is alternating red and blue spots.

Soon after the fight was over, everyone sat on the ground exhausted. Two people were paralyzed, but our trainer had the antidote. It took half an hour for them to get back to full capacity.

"Good job. I didn't have to use my magic. But you couldn't fully protect yourself. Still a lot of work ahead of you." - Azar said while collecting animal carcasses.

He gave us an hour break, we could eat and rest, but we still had to be alert. The animals living in this place, of course, did not take breaks from hunting. Two monsters tried to attack us! Again this flat climbing monster. This species is called crazy climber. It fits... They behave erratically and are excellent climbers.

I seriously wounded one with my shadow sword. I can consider this another success on my part.

We continued and there were no major surprises for us. Of course, the monsters continued to attack, but we didn't encounter any more herds of rasps.

In the end, our run took eight hours and we were all exhausted, sweaty, and overheated.

I didn't want to risk a thermal shock, so first I sat under the warm water in the shower and rested. Others followed my example and did the same.

As soon as we regained some strength, lively conversations began about what we had seen and that we were getting better at fighting monsters. Some also mentioned my dungeon experience.

"I still need more work on myself." - I said embarrassed.

"Just like everyone else here..." - Kazo.

"Will you tell us later about what you found in the dungeon? We didn't ask before because if someone was coming back... They were in a bad state of mind, but you seem fine!" - Hirt said this with eyes sparkling in excitement.

"Yes, of course, I will tell you! Were you really worried about that? That's... Nice of you, but you could have just asked before. I mean... Something like: Hey, how are you feeling?" - I admonished them.

Their expressions looked as if a thought like "we are idiots" appeared in their minds. I burst out laughing seeing this.

"Excuse me. It just turned out funny. I'm not mad or something. I know I'm very different from you, but you don't have to worry about that."

They all nodded with understanding. We dried off and got dressed.

We sat in a large room which was in the center of the building. Everyone took out some food and we set it on the table. The girls also joined after a while. There were 6 girls in our group.

We didn't have any more activities planned for today.

I started telling them everything about what was happening in the dungeon, what I had learned, and what I had found. What horrible situations I had to go through...

Everyone was shocked at what they heard.

"You're doing really well... After everything that's happened, you don't look like you're mentally damaged." - Suri said to me.

Suri is Exceed with pink fur, she had pink stripes of several shades. Her abilities are earth magic. Not always the color of the fur matches the power.

"For some reason. Thought I had healing plants, that it was possible to find them, that they would make all wounds and pain go away... It helped me a lot." - I explained after a while with my thoughts. - "And all the time I had Sunny by my side, I was too curious to see how she would develop over time." - she cuddled up to me with a happy squeak.

"She is so sweet." - she said as if her heart was just melting because of cuteness overload.

And so the conversations turned to much freer topics and we ate a lot... At some point, Azar came to us and sat with us.

"Okay, why do I see something missing here? I know most of you have stocks of alcohol..." - he said and after a while, he took out several bottles of various liquors from his bag.

"Whaaaat?" - some of us said in obvious shock, me too.

"What-what? It is not forbidden to drink alcohol here... You can have fun when it is not colliding with our training sessions. And I feel like we all need to get to know each other better. I could see during today's training that many of you stand out from the group and can't cooperate well."

The next events happened quickly. There was a lot of alcohol, a lot of laughter. Everyone told something about themselves. Everyone relaxed significantly and opened up to others.

The party ended at midnight when our trainer said that there will be no mercy tomorrow. And tomorrow we have 3 obstacle courses to overcome...

I lay down in bed and Sunny cuddled up to me. I 'm hoping that maybe alcohol will help with my bad dreams... And I forgot to write to Light.
