"Something isn't right..." Kiya thought inwardly as she suddenly had a severe headache. It felt like her brain would burst if she continued thinking about this...

Didn't that sound like a curse?

Unbeknownst to the two adults, an ethereal shadow stood next to Kiya, attempting to restore her mental clarity with its presence. A presence that couldn't even be perceived without the proper circumstances.

"We shall head into the city if that is fine with you. I wish to mingle with the higher society of this world. The so-called World Government has started to lay claim to this continent through the use of technology. The other continent seems to be the dominion of a Mortal Pharaoh, one whose mastery of the arcane mortality has conquered the ryms of this world. If we were to go there, it would be too easy to catch the attention of that existence. I should see what benefits there are that I can claim for myself here," a low and steady voice rumbled out of Marc's mouth.

Marc felt complacent as he stared at the horizon with a nefarious smile on his handsome face while his white hair floated mysteriously.

He couldn't believe things had progressed this smoothly so far. His execution was flawless, and this made Marc feel proud of himself.

"The Divine Draconian clans were only this much. What volosarian sovereignty? My abyssal race will soon rise again," These were Marc's thoughts, before his brow twitched. He whipped his head around to see his woman clutching her head in one hand and her baby boy in the other.

"Wuz wong mummy," came the tiny voice of the little boy in Kiya's embrace as he cradled her face with his little hands.

"Mommy is okay, my Lucky star, do not worry," Kiya's voice was a little weak and her complexion had become pale. She was clearly not okay, but the little man in her embrace could only take her words as everything. On the other hand, Myracle came to her mother's side and tugged on her clothes.

Marc grew suspicious and slowly walked towards Kiya and the others. He was doing his best to appear naturally aloof and not as nervous as he felt. This was bound to fail, as according to his façade, he should be utterly anxious that his darling wife seemed hurt. Once one developed doubts, all actions became suspicious. Especially since right now, he should be showing concern for her well-being and not his standard aloofness. Unfortunately, his anxious heart clouded his judgment.

"Is the spell wearing off? This is such an inopportune moment...I can't let the kids see me..." Marc thought nervously.

"Okay, mummy, okay," the baby boy rubbed his mother's face gently, trying to console her.

Kiya couldn't help but smile despite the chaos erupting in her mind. The beautiful little lad smiled back at her, and at that moment, she seemed to hear the sound of glass breaking inside her mind. Her eyes reflected terror and realization for half a second before quickly returning to normal. Little Lucky's face got twice as sad and concerned, but he only continued to rub his mother's face. Kiya sighed in relief that her child didn't react much to her own.

"Thank god I was looking at Lucky," Thinking quickly, Kiya handed her baby to her little girl for a moment.

"Ah!" the little boy was about to whine, but his sister covered his little mouth out of habit, causing him to thrash around in protest.

"Hush it, Ryatt! Mommy has a headache, so stay with big sis, okay?" Myracle loved her baby brother to pieces, but the rascal would whine and fuss anytime he left his mother's embrace.

Of course, as someone who once shared the same disposition, Myracle was the most understanding of this. She doted on Ryatt all the same.

"But... wuu... okay, Mimi, okay..." little Ryatt was about to protest, but the stern look of his big sister made him swallow his words.

Meanwhile, Kiya had already taken several steps forward and landed in Marc Raizen's bosom. Myracle hid her look of disgust by turning her face. She couldn't help feeling a bit of resentment at this scene. The little girl just couldn't understand how this woman was with her father a year or so ago but now preferred to be spoiled and held by some slimy-looking stranger.

Myracle felt her father was far prettier than this man, so what was her mother's deal?

"My husband, I am not feeling well. I fear something may have affected me here," Kiya whined in her sweetest voice. Internally, she was completely panicking. She prayed to the stars that this man wouldn't notice her true mental state, absolute loathing and disgust for him. Depth dwellers were able to feed from negative emotions like fiends! She had to erase her heart's negativity.

Marc Raizen's defense dissipated like air when he saw this flawless jewel relying heavily on him. This was the way she should be. He was putty in her hands, suddenly growing genuinely concerned like a good husband, "Let me inspect you... Hm, how long have you had this fever? Perhaps this is due to the seal suppressing your form. I was too heavy-handed. I should maybe loosen it a bit..."

Marc touched Kiya's forehead, and an eery green light covered his palm.

The eyes of Kiya Prozen, buried in Marc's bosom, flashed with a cunning light. However, this light soon dimmed into gray despair. She had avoided detection, but she could feel a strange arcane force entering her mind, making images of Marc flood her consciousness. He was actually subtly reinforcing the charm curse! But he clearly didn't notice anything just now; Kiya was certain of this! Just how cautious was this demon?

Several months later, Marc Raizen busied himself, setting up a defensive boundary around a mid-sized estate on the outskirts of a densely populated city. There were so many types of buildings, from short to tall, and beautiful blue-leaf trees growing throughout the city. Kiya had just sent her daughter off to play after a lesson inside the second-largest house of the estate. Finally, about to relax during her afternoon bath, Kiya received a sound transmission in her ear.

"Going out again?" Kiya frowned as she recognized her husband's voice. "Okay. Well, be safe, my love."

This so-called 'husband' of hers was becoming increasingly audacious. Was she seriously expected to be dumb enough to believe he was actually job-hunting when he left for so long? Sometimes, Marc wouldn't return for days at a time!

"Tch, just as well. This act is truly killing me..." Kiya whispered out loud, convinced that she was alone in this bath. "Plus we he's gone, I can give my son the attention and treatment he deserves..."

"It really makes me comfortable to hear you say that... I could sense that only superficial charm powers were coming from your body. Honestly, had this been more than an act, I'm not sure what I would do."

When Kiya heard this voice, her entire body and mind shut down instantly. A breath later, she trembled as she abruptly stood up from the bath, revealing a peerless golden brown body that was dripping wet. Her blue hair lay gently on her devastating curves. When Kiya looked at the long red dreads of the gorgeous man standing behind her, her beautiful face instantly burned, an intensely passionate look flaring in her eyes. Her body quivered as her heart trembled, thumping as if it were threatening to leap out from her chest.

"My stars...you are the most exquisite creature throughout the heavens," said a tall, muscular hunk in a bass-filled voice. He stood there with his rippling muscles reflected in the water and his fully erect lower weapon.

Kiya was stunned at the sight of the man she dreamed of every night in all his glory.

"Me... no..." Kiya barely got her words out before Meno sealed her sentence with the soft lips of her forlorn lover.

Following that, she experienced the passion of this man that haunted her dreams over and over in every way possible long into the night. It wasn't until the next day that she remembered her rage towards him. A rage she would also vent to the max as the morning began the same way the night ended. Later that evening, Kiya sat next to her sleeping baby boy. After scanning the area meticulously, she motioned slightly with her hand. The lights of the rooms all went out as a shadow appeared before morphing into a man. Meno's body released a subtle natural white glow that illuminated the part of the room where he stood. He looked down at his son with a wry smile.

If only he could help the boy grow into a man personally...unfortunately all he could do was set up some opportunities. It was up to his son to find them.

"When they were born, I took his familiar with me. It was almost lost on me as well, crippling his future. Today, I return it," Meno placed a hand on his son's forehead, and a mystic light poured into the small skull. Several moments later, Meno placed a small onyx gemstone with a mysterious rune in the center onto a string made from orichalcum. Next to it was a pitch-black ankh made of only ghosts knew what. Meno tied the necklace around his son's neck. "One day, he will be powerful enough to enter this galaxy gem and release the seal on his partner. A pity that they have to be separated for so long. It is imperative that his foundation is set as a human, not just a fey. If they remain together, his human side would never be able to compete."

"You only separated part of his familiar from him... the draconic aspect at most," Kiya spoke gently from the bedside. Meno's brow curled up in curiosity. Kiya closed her eyes and continued, "After all, they are one. You do not understand star beasts as you think you do. Neither do the abyssals. You compare us to yourselves, but we are different. Naturally, you understand the nature of our children's abilities even less. Lesser still do you understand the intricacies of this body you've crafted for me. These children should, by all rights, be abominations like our stillborns. Only the heavens know how you figured it out in the end."

Meno's body shook at her words. He had always felt that his experiment was successful when his son was born. But Kiya's words were far too close to a confirmation. He looked deep into her eyes and asked, "Are you saying that my....that our....son...is a true Star Behemoth? A Sky Nova?"
