As the explosion intensified, Eros glared back to Keya. His expression didn't change much, and his eyes were extremely focused. That simple glare instantly told Keya that the plan she carefully brewed was noticed.
A spell suddenly surrounded Eros and kept him safe from the earth shattering vibrations. This obviously signified the failure of Keya's machinations.
Keya's eyes went wide, as she muttered, "He knew! I thought he was only able to sense the pulsations and didn't have any clue about its purpose.... But he knew!"
When Eros' spell appeared, the vibrations which were supposed to crush him were suppressed at a certain degree, but in contrast, the vibrations on the side of the other four increased dramatically as if it was a beast suddenly set free.
The faces of the four turned pale and they were suddenly encroached with dread. They used all their might to prevent the vibrations from nearing them, or simply reduce its speed.
"Argg.." The two male elves aside from Eros growled. It was obvious that they were overexerting themselves and releasing energy far more than what they actually could.
Sheera was also having a hard time, but she was more worried about Keya more than her life. So she allowed more vibrations to come to her just to lessen the vibration on Keya's side.
"How is this possible?... He could not even pass the second level of the hall of knowledge. It should have been impossible for him to understand those pulsations and create a spell to keep him safe from it!" Keya thought as she stared dumbfounded at the vibrations which rapidly intensified.
"I am not a failure like Eldrin..." She muttered, "I can't fail here. I never fail.. I am a genius of my generation! A person who will soon lead the family of Para to glory! I could not fail!!"
Keya then gritted her teeth, and suddenly started muttering a complex spell and at the very end, she shouted, "Break!" Then forcefully slapped her hand on the ground where the spell formation was located.
Her action led to the increase in speed of the process of dispelling the spell formation, which in return exacerbated the situation, causing a massive rumbling to resound as the vibration magnified.
Eros' face flinched, his eyes widened and his pupils constricted. "Dammit! She has gone mad!"
Eruptions of the land suddenly filled the area even outside the spell formation. With the current situation it was impossible to escape their current location. So with all his power, Eros tried to suppress the vibration that made everyone cower. He roared and placed both of his hands on the ground, increasing the range of his own protective spell.
The protective spell surrounding him suddenly swelled and expanded rapidly. His actions were expeditious, that before the vibration killed anyone, he was able to cover those two male students who were extremely nervous.
When Eros protected the two, the vibrations rapidly shifted at Sheera and Keya's direction. However, Sheera's eyes flashed with decisiveness as she protected Keya from the vibration. Her face paled, and her body trembled, but this did not cause her to waver from her decision.
With everyone protected, all the destructive force of the vibration rushed towards Sheera. It was far stronger than what bombarded Eros earlier. But her eyes remained calm even as several explosions battered her from all sides, obviously putting her at great harm.
When Eros saw this, his frown grew deeper. Sheera have done nothing to him, and actually did not show any contempt when they first met. So the thought of her dying caused Eros to ponder if there is a need to save her.
"Dammit! There's no enmity between the two of us. So I will save you this time around." Eros said, while pushing to his very limit to expand the spell he used to protect the two male students.
Eros face also paled, and the trembling directed at Keya suddenly lessened. She looked at Eros direction with a puzzled expression. She did not speak, yet it was obvious that she was baffled why Eros saved him in such situation.
With her and the other two male students protected, all the vibration now surged to Keya's direction, shattering the thin layer of protection Sheera offered.
The lands were now filled with crevices and rifts from the explosion, and it was obvious that it would intensify soon. To the extent that everyone present would die in a blink of an eye.
Keya tried her best to suppress the vibration coming at her, but it was useless since the intensity was beyond her capability. "Argg.." Keya growled as blood oozed out from the corner of her mouth. Fear filled her body as she trembled intensely. "Is this where I die?" It was obvious that she was barely holding on, and would lose control soon.
At the face of looming death, her eyes flashed with guilt. She looked around and saw everyone struggling to save their own life. So she slowly accepted that it was her fault since she kept the vibrations a secret from everyone just to conclude Eros' death.
After a long sigh, she slowly closed her eyes and decided to calmly fight the vibrations until she die, but something she did not expect happened, and words filled with worry she never dreamed to hear resounded.
"Lady Keya! Hold on!" The two male students of Ronsorth said in concert. After which, they immediately used their own magic to protect Keya from the vibration. Along with them, Sheera released another magic to offer her Lady more protection.
With her life suddenly saved, she looked around and noticed everyone doing their best to save her from being minced. They even gave up their own safety and made her life the priority. "Everyone.."
Eros' eyes went wide, since everyone was trying to protect Keya, the biggest strain went to him. "You fools! We will surely die if you continue with this."
The struggle lasted longer, as the spell formation started to break faster. "Just a bit more." Eros said, while gritting his teeth.
With what was happening, he had no more choice but to also protect Keya. Even if he did not want to do so, he had no choice, since everyone will give up more of their own defenses and eventually put their life at risk.
Another layer of protection suddenly appeared around Keya, It was obviously from Eros who was now panting heavily. His eyes were bloodshot and blood oozed out of the corners of his mouth, while an unimaginable amount of energy is expelled from his body.
With her now safe, she looked at Eros' direction, and suddenly her body trembled from Eros action. Her mind reeled and her heart was shaken. "Why...?" She murmured, "Why is he saving me?" A warm feeling rushed through her body, as her hatred for Eros lessened dramatically.
"Arggg.." Eros kept on groaning, as his body got weaker. Protecting everyone was greatly taxing and he knew that he could not last longer. "Dammit.. Dammit! Those idiots. I can’t believe I'm risking my life for idiots." While these thoughts were running through Eros' mind, Keya stared at him with admiration.
"He's trying to save everyone even at the risk of endangering himself... Including me who tried to kill him. I can't believe such heroism still existed." Keya thought deeply. Her eyes then flashed with decisiveness as she said, "I might have tried to kill you, but now I will do my best to destroy this spell and pull us out of this crisis."
She then muttered another set of complex incantation, and touched the ground as she channeled energy into the spell formation. The cracks on the spell formation spread out swiftly and obviously bound to destroy it quickly.
Everyone assisted in this endeavor, except Eros who was busy protecting the four. In no time there were innumerable cracks in the spell formation, and it was apparent that it would break in no time without reservation. Everyone's smile grew, but in contrast, Eros' was suddenly filled with an ill feeling of fright. He could not explain it, but as the cracks increased, a sense of danger increased to unexplainable height.
BOOM!
The spell formation shattered, and everyone rejoiced. "We did it!!"
However, suddenly, a will undetectable to many swept out in all direction. It carried killing intent that no one could detect towards everyone present. "Fools! This is just the beginning, and the end is near. Everything shall end, including the lives of those you hold dear. The fourth shall become the lead as the past rewrites the future, and there nothing that could stop our Lord’s domination!"
Eros was stunned, he could clearly hear the voice of the will and could feel the killing intent directed at him. So with all his might, he roared and used every bit of his power. His left eye turned pitch black and the red mark of Orcus appeared therein. "I have no choice!"
Elements sprang out, to protect all of them all-out. The four who were already screaming in success, were puzzled from Eros action – who was using his second curse.
At the very center of the spell formation, an earthquake of unmatched magnitude suddenly shook the lands. Everyone's eyes went wide and fear filled their minds.
"What's happening? I thought we already destroyed it." Keya said, worried.
Eros stood up, raised his hand, and again roared. Like clap of thunder for those who heard. Winds sprang out that covered all of them. And the earth directly below them stopped moving as if it was being controlled by Eros' whim.
The earthquake shook the mountain, but the most frightening thing lay on its epicenter, where Eros' group was standing.
BOOM!!!
A massive explosion of the ground caused trees to uproot and the land to be ground to dust. Even though it did not affect the mountain as a whole, it still carved a gigantic hole.
Smoke filled the area, and dust floated about. When the dust subsided, Eros group could be seen on one side of the gigantic hole created by the explosion. The four were all unconscious, and only Eros was looking around breathing heavily, as various wounds riddled his body.
"It's gone. I guess were safe now." Eros said feeling relived. He quickly took out a medicine and pooped it in his mouth. He propped himself from an uprooted tree on his side and looked below the hole which for him was now a terrifying sight.
Then after a while, he also fell on his knees and lost consciousness.
….
When he woke up, he was back on his room. He was not confused and knew exactly that the explosion was detected by the wizards of Ronsorth.
“Eros, what happened? Are you feeling well?” Eris’ voice drifted through his barely conscious self.
Hearing Eris’ voice, Eros forced himself to sit up and gave her a smile of assurance. “I am fine. How are the others that were with me on the mission?”
Eris sighed with relief and answered, “They were all taken back to their own residence since none of them received any fatal injuries. You were the one with most injuries, but amazingly, your injuries were healing at a rapid degree. It seems like you ate a high grade medicine before lapsing into unconsciousness.”
“That’s good then.” Eros said. He then observed his own body, and felt relived as he thought. “Everyone seemed to survive and thankfully, I did not receive any severe injuries.” He then looked out the window and sighed, “If that Keya died, it would have been better for me.”
….
On a well decorated room, displaying extravagance equal to a luxurious flower in full bloom, Keya laid in her bed unmoving. All her wounds were quickly healing, obviously caused by expensive medicine from her family who spared all effort to ensure her safety.
One moment, her face was tranquil as a lake, but suddenly she frowned and grunted, then opened her eyes just to see herself on her room, feeling well and already treated. She glanced around then saw no one around, but she still said, “Where is Sheera? How is she? And how are those that came with me on the mission?”
Immediately after she asked the question, someone behind the door of her room answered in succession. “Lady Sheera is fine; she just woke up several minutes ago. As for those who came with you on the mission, the two elves are also now safe from harm; however they have yet to wake up. That boy Eros though has already woken up earlier than all of you, and seemed to be strolling around Ronsorth for some time now.”
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“So he still woke up faster than all of us even though he received most damage from that spell. I guess this time I really lost big time.” Keya thought with a smile. “I aimed for his life, but now I owe him my life. Such a disgrace.” Even though her train of thought seemed as if she was disappointed, her smile did not fade as if she was amused instead.
“Prepare my trip to the Castle of the Ruler.”
“I will abide my Lady.” The voice behind the door said, and his presence disappeared without a trace.
….
Eros walked around Ronsorth leisurely even with his slight injuries. He did not plan to waste the day by lying on his bed, so he decided to go the Hall of Knowledge and study instead.
“Eros, are you really alright now? I think you should rest more.” Eris said a bit worried.
“Oh come on Eris, you know I received more injuries at the False Tree of Life. This is nothing.”
Eris sighed and could do nothing. She simply followed along and proceeded to their planned location. However, before they could enter the Hall of Knowledge, a familiar face blocked their path. It was Ruven, carrying his always serious expression. “Eros, I apologize, but you cannot study today. Someone requested for your presence.”
“Eh?” Eros reacted, “Who?”
“The Emissary of the Ruler of Kingdom of Sheles.”
Eros’ eyes went wide, and he asked with expression of pure shock, “Why!? Did I commit a crime?”
Ruven’s serious expression lightened. Even though he rarely laughs, it was this moment that he gave an obvious smile to Eros’ sudden remark. “If you committed a crime, it’s not the emissary who would look for you but the Scourge of Grada instead.
“Scourge of Grada?” Eros asked.
“Oh. So you don’t know of them? They are simply a group of people who carries punishment to criminals in the Kingdom of Sheles. Anyway don’t mind them since you didn’t commit a crime. It might be related to the mission you recently completed. The Kingdom might need some information from you regarding it.”
Eros breathed in relief. If he was really punished, it would totally delay his growth and possibly even end his journey at this point.
“So come with me, you will go along with Keya, Sheera and the two elves who were with you on the mission to meet the emissary at the Castle of Sheles.”
Eros could do nothing but follow Ruven, and Eris was left alone since she was not in the mission.
While walking, Ruven suddenly asked, “Did you notice anything unusual when your group dispelled the spell formation at the mountain of Tulk?”
Eros immediately recalled everything that have happened when he heard the question, then he ruminated for a moment if he should tell someone about his experience, but in the end, he thought that it would be unwise for now, so he answered with a slight frown, “I don’t really remember anything unusual, I fainted quickly after the spell formation broke.”
Ruven stared at him deeply before staring back at the path they’re walking to and did not inquire further.
…
Eros was led by Ruven to a certain area at Ronsorth, there, they saw a small group. Some of them were familiar to Eros, especially Keya who led him to grave danger where his life was almost lost.
“Oh, so we’re the last to arrive.” Ruven said as he walked towards the crowd.
“No worries Sir Ruven, we also just arrived.” A man said. He was unfamiliar to Eros, but obviously, he is a teacher from Ronsorth.
“Hurry Eros, we should go now. We can’t have the emissary waiting forever.” Keya said cheerfully. It was as if she and Eros have no enmity.
Eros also played it cool, and answered as if he was under Keya’s rule. “Sorry for the delay. I think we should go now.” Then Eros quickly hopped on the same Goleon they rode when they did the mission.
The four of them said their farewell to those who called them together and Evi flew at a speed which Eros have already gotten used to. Quickly they were at the sky, splitting the clouds as they fly.
“Eros, I’m glad that you’re alright.” Keya said with a smile.
“Oh. I got lucky and survived that UNEXPECTED trap laid in that spell formation.” Eros replied, emphasizing a word which made Sheera’s face flinch.
When Sheera was about to speak up, Keya quickly said with a charming smile. “Indeed, that was some unlucky situation. Good thing you saved us all. If not for you, we all might have died, so we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
“Yes. We all saw how you risked your life. I thank you!” One of the male elf who Eros saved said.
“I also thank you for what you did for us.” Another elf said, face full of gratitude that could not be expressed into words.
Sheera was a bit taken aback; she did not expect her lady to say those words after recently failing her carefully laid out attack. So, she could only follow suit and say. “I also thank you.”
Soon they reached the Castle. From the outside it looked ancient, but still radiated unbelievable pressure especially to those with ill intent. Its towers were enormous and unbelievably high. Saying that an ordinary man could climb to the top would be a lie.
Even though it looked especially domineering, the greenery in it is greatly alluring. Flowers and lush trees filled its surrounding; up close it feels as if a fairy would pop up without warning.
“So this is the Castle of Sheles..” Eros thought a bit speechless.
When Keya noticed his reaction, she pointed at the center of the castle and said. “That is where the Ruler is staying.” Then again pointed at the four towers of the castle, “Those four towers represent the four heroes of the Kingdom of Sheles. One of the towers is for our School’s founder, Sir Ronsorth.”
Eros nodded eagerly as if he learned something worth it, as Keya told him more as they descended.
Evi landed at an open space just in front of the entrance, and everyone dismounted as if they were on a trance - staring at the beautifully carved metal door, seemingly carved by the hands of the gods. Images of elves are on it, fighting war and showing heroism to the greatest extent. One of which was familiar to Eros; the man’s features looked similar to gigantic statue of Ronsorth.
“That is the war fought by our first ruler and the heroes of Sheles before the founding of the Kingdom of Sheles.” Keya said, as if she knew that Eros was curious about the image on the door. “Also, there are legends that the door is created by a legendary sculptor who once saved the life of the first ruler.”
Eros simply nodded and etched the image on his mind. He doesn’t know why Keya is acting all nice, but he was aware that it might be another plot; however, he did not put it to heart.
When he finished appreciating the image, he glanced at his side, there, he saw an unfamiliar man. He was wearing simple clothes and a kind smile.
“So you have all arrived, Master is waiting for all of you. Please come with me.” The man said as he kept waving his hand to urge Eros’ group to hurry.
The man led them inside the castle, where they saw more luxury than they could ever imagine. Golden chairs, golden floors, even rare gems could be seen being used as decorations.
In a certain room, an elf sat on an ordinary looking chair. He looked young with long black hair. His skin was fair, and he didn’t radiate any arrogant air. However, his eyes were sharp as if he could tell what one was thinking with a simple stare.
“Everyone sit down.” The man said with a tepid smile. “My name is Saevel, and I am an Emissary of the ruler of Sheles. First, I would like to thank each one of you for the effort you put forth on saving the lives of many as you dispelled the spell formation set by our enemies.” Then the man sighed as he continued,
“However, we have not much time so I will go direct to the point, and ask you if you noticed something unusual as you dispelled the spell formation during your mission.”
Keya quickly answered, “Sir Saevel I only noticed the odd vibrations of the spell formation and nothing more.”
The two male elves also simply agreed and Sheera also said the same words. When Eros realized that he was the only one who heard the words after the huge explosion of the spell formation, he wittingly said that after the explosion, he could not remember much and could not help with any useful information.
However Saevel looked at him deeply with an unusual smile, then said, “Eros, I have heard of your great potential. I understand that you received some injuries during the mission and might have affected your memory, but I hope that you could remember something since this could greatly help the Kingdom of Sheles.”
Eros expression did not change as he thought, “Did he notice that I know something? This guy is sharp, but I still should not tell anyone about what I know since I am not from this Kingdom, and I don’t know who the real enemy is. I should just keep myself away from all of this and focus on becoming stronger.”
Quickly, he closed his eyes and acted as if he was scouring his memory for information. Then after a while, he opened his eyes with a sigh. “I really can’t remember anything.” He said face filled with disappointment.
“It’s alright.” Saevel said, “Give it time.”
Saevel then stood up and pulled out five small pockets. “Inside those are wizard memory gems, and fifty thousand magic stones. However, for Eros and Keya who have greater contributions on the mission, we decided to add another fifty thousand magic stones, giving each of them a total of one hundred magic stones. Also, their wizard memory gems are higher grade compared to others.” Saevel said as he looked at everyone, “I hope no one has objections regarding this arrangement.”
“None Sir Seavel!” The two male elf and Sheera replied immediately after Saevel’s words.
“Seems like we are done here; if you remember anything important, please feel free to inform us.” Saevel added. “Then let me escort you all out.”
Everyone nodded and went out of the castle, they knew that Saevel was a busy man and meeting them directly was already a great honor. So with a satisfied smile, they all flew back to Ronsorth, with only Eros feeling uneasy from stating a lie.
….
At a separate location, Saevel knelt in front of a curtain filled with veneration. A man sat behind it with features only visible through the shadows reflected on the thin cloth seemingly illuminated by sconce behind that very person.
“Lord, they could not give any useful information. However, one of them is very peculiar. His name is Eros, and for some unknown reason, I cannot see through his intention. I can’t even read his expression more so his thoughts. I don’t know how he did it, but I feel that he knows something.”
There was no answer for a while but Saevel did not falter and remained kneeling, while facing the ground. His eyes were closed, and even his breathing did not make any noise.
Only after a while did a voice sounded in the room. It wasn’t loud, but could put pressure on one’s heart. It was cold without feeling, detached from worldly desires, as if he experienced life and death countless of times. “You who could see the truth could not see through his heart. Doubting yourself or doubting him could not change the future set by the lands we stood in. Actions are necessary, send him to the quest, there I will judge him myself.”
When his last words were uttered, the lights suddenly flickered, and the shadow behind the curtain suddenly disappeared.
“Yes my lord.” Savel said, and stood up; feeling enlightened, he left the chamber to fulfill the mission.
….
When they got back, Eros quickly went to his room to study the wizard memory gem the kingdom has given to him. “This thing is interesting, I’m not sure if it could actually help me become a wizard but it’s better than nothing.”
While fiddling with the item, a knock suddenly startled him, and a voice passed through the door. “Open this. You’re elder sister is here to play.”
Instantly Eros recognized the voice, it was a person who came to him several times. “Lady Meira…” Eros thought while he opened the door with slight hesitation. “What brings you here Lady Meira?”
“I’m just here to play~” Meira said seductively.
Eros could not help but feel helpless. “This lady is very unpredictable. I’m just another man, so of course her allure would work most of the time, but I feel that she’s dangerous so it’s better to keep my distance.” Eros thought. After which, he answered with a bright smile. “I know that Lady Meira is someone busy, so please don’t tease me. Please tell me the real reason.”
Meira pouted and said, “You’re too serious.” Then she sat on Eros’ bed as if she owns the place. “I’m here to pass the orders of the ruler. You are ordered to join our quest since you have experienced firsthand the spell of the enemy mage, and joining our team could help you remember something.”
“Eh? Quest? What is the quest about?”
“I don’t know yet the details myself; it will be given later in presence of the ruler. So with me and other wizards, you are required to come to the castle of Sheles to hear the orders.” Meira replied as if she wasn’t interested to explain more of the details.
“Am I the only mage invited?” Eros asked acting shocked at the moment, but he knew that Saevel noticed something about his acting.
“No, they also tasked me to bring Keya.” Meira said with slight contempt. “I asked someone else to invite her, since I have no plan of conversing with another woman.”
“Let’s not talk about her and talk about your plan on being my apprentice” Meira bit her lips and continued, “You know that I will treat you well~”
Eros sighed and simply said, “I think we should go now. We don’t want the ruler to wait for a long time.”
Meira only rolled her eyes and stood up, then went out without a word prompting Eros to follow behind.
….
Eros, along with Meira arrived at the castle. They didn’t ride anything, but instead, Meira used her magic to carry Eros to fly towards the castle of Sheles.
When they arrived, they saw Keya, and five men, all noticeably handsome. Their features were disparate, but their individual allure was apparent. Being in their presence could make a woman think they are in a dream world.
As Meira and Eros got nearer, the five bowed their heads and said with reverence. “Master, we have brought lady Keya as ordered.”
Meira simply waved her hands and dismissed the matter. She did not even glance at Keya and directly entered the castle.
Inside, they were greeted by Saevel and directly assisted them towards the ruler’s chamber. The same elegance still shocked Eros, making him think that the ruler might be some old elf with great desire for material fortune.
As they got deeper into the castle, the steps of everyone became noiseless. It was as if their respect for the ruler was etched in their very soul.
When they entered a certain chamber, Eros saw a man sitting on a throne made out of wood. Tree branches were stitched together to form a chair radiating life, and unexplainable splendor.
The man in the chair was extremely handsome. His features were the definition of a perfect man. Jet black hair and pupils; his eyes were expressionless like that of a doll, but it felt like a deep pit of boundless emptiness. Even his pale skin seemed flawless as if polished by the finest sculptors of the plane of Eunos. And his lips felt like it was painted by the blood of gods, which was more eye catching than the rarest ruby on the lands.
One by one the elves kneeled, including Meira and Keya who didn’t even dare look at the ruler. However Eros remained standing a bit on daze while staring at the eyes of the ruler.
When everyone noticed this, they all gulped down a mouthful of saliva and nervousness filled their bodies. If they could, they would drag Eros down to genuflect and show some respect.
A single breath, another breath, until five breaths of time, Eros did not move, making everyone sweat as if they are seeing the greatest disrespect.
Keya could not hold it anymore, and being next to Eros it would be easiest for her to tell him to kneel on the floor. However, before she could utter a word, the ruler suddenly said. “Everyone Rise.”
Eros was startled and woke up from his daze. He could only say to himself. “Ehh? Did I do something wrong?”
The king then glanced at them one by one, his face not showing any emotion as if he was really a doll. Even with this, no one gave it much though; they all knew that the ruler has never had a change of expression even when a rebellion threatened his position. He simply slaughtered them without flinching as if they were insects not even worth mentioning.
His expressionless face was different from Lensa and Ruven. Lensa’s expressionless face was born from her great wits which made her lose interest on a lot of things. While Ruven’s was from his very serious personality which makes him take everything to be crucial and prevents unnecessary expression from showing in his face and body.
On the other hand, the king’s expressionless face could be considered as if he was not even a living being, but a puppet covered by an elf’s skin.
However, when his glance rested on Eros, his eyes slowly went wide and his lips slightly trembled. This expression shocked everyone present, even Saevel who was simply observing from the beginning up to the current moment. It was his first time seeing the ruler show an expression ever since he served him hundred years ago.
His eyes shone with interest as he glanced back and forth to Eros and the ruler. But what shocked him more was that the king’s expression changed once more! His brows creased, obviously pondering deeply about something he could not comprehend. His energy also rose, making everyone tremble from the feeling that elements would suddenly explode and consume them all.
Only Eros was feeling confused, while everyone was already astonished from the unfolding events; they could not believe that their ruler would act in such a way.
Then after a while, he murmured, which Eros and Saevel heard clearly. “Curse.. Destiny.. Altered by a single entity. Even nature could not foretell his future.”
After which he calmed himself down, and regained his expressionless face. “Seek the enemies at the Ruins of Kivel. Know their reason, and the faction they strive for. You are not warriors, but instead scouts. Bring back the information, to end the mission.”
“We are honored to receive the quest! We shall bring glory to the kingdom!” Everyone said at the same time. Eagerness radiated from their voices and their eyes.
The ruler then stood up and left the chamber, after which, Saevel gave them some final instructions and followed the ruler.
In the same room where Saevel spoke with the ruler earlier, the ruler sat on his usual position and said. “Both his origin and goal is unknown, but the Lular gave their approval. I shall respect their decision and will only remain as a spectator.”
Saevel nodded and left the room. This time he was convinced that Eros was someone extraordinary and that his eyes did not fail to see.
