"Stars can't shine without darkness"

Wallace's men rescued everyone and rounded up the perpetrators. There were some fatalities but it was unavoidable. I relinquish the men who raped the girls to the townsfolk after I cut off their dicks and cauterized their wounds with a hot iron.
As for the torturer.....well he will be tortured
He was tied to a chair. On each side of him were sharp blades and needles. This was so that if he squirmed in pain he will only be met by more pain. I gagged him of course because I didn't want to get a headache from hearing him scream. His fingers hands and arms were strapped to the arm rests of the chair.
I had the chair itself secures to the stone floor so that it won't get toppled over
He had a terrified face as I aproach him.
"Do you know?" I started. "Finger tips are the most sensitive bones in the body.....the sense of touch could be a powerful thing..." I continued as I took out a scalpel and tweezers.
"Let me demonstrate" I said while cutting at his finger. I removed the skin from his index finger with the scalpel. He cringed at the pain. His head was fixed in the down ward position so that he saw what I was doing
After I removed the skin I went on to the muscle fibers. I took my time removing them with the tweezers.
"The best part about using the fingers is that you don't have to worry about someone bleeding out." I said as I removed the last bit of the flesh from his index finger. The whole time he was trying to yell from the pain and now he was exhausted. It's been 20 minutes since I started
"This is where the fun truely begins" I said with an evil grin as I cauterized his exposed flesh with a hot iron.
I took out the scalpel and carved a tiny hash mark on his finger tip. This caused him to almost pass out.
"The density of feeling receptors on our finger tips is 2,500 per cm squares....It is the densest area of receptors in the whole body...." I said as I made another hashmark.
After spending 30 minutes carving, I ran out of space on that finger tip. It was an incredible ballance work to keep him from dying from the pain.
When there was no room to carve anymore the ex-torturer looked relieved thinking I was done.
"Oh man..." I said playfully. "I ran out of room...I took a clever and chopped off his carved finger
"looks like I have to move to the next one" I said with a grin as I places the scalpel on the next finger "9 more to go...."
His face filled with dispare as he screamed his silent scream

The next day I hand all the bodies burned to prevent disease from being spread. Some of the bodies like the torturer who now had no fingers left were alive. He didn't even peep a sound even as his body engulfed in flames. His mind was completely shattered.
The next day we held a meeting with the survivors. They all seemed to be scared of me at this point but because of William Wallace they decided to come with us to the stronghold. It was not safe for them to stay in their village. Another raid will be likely
They were amazed when they saw my boat. They stared at it with curiosity and disbelief.
To avoid being followed from shore, we dove underwater with the yatch.
Everyone was at a disbelief. Even Wallace was at a loss of words.
"To think a ship can sail underwater....." I heard someone murmur
We arived to our stronghold without a hitch. We were met with oos and aas.
I was completely exhausted so I went straight to bed. I heard a party start as I fell asleep
The next day I had Wallace and his men gather all the builders and crafts men
They sat in order of their craft
Stone mason sat to the farthest right followed by carpenters which followed by blacksmiths
I write out how to make reinforced concrete and I gave the plans to the stone masons. They looked at it in shock.
"I want you to gather men and begin to lay this down in the streets. At the same time I want you to construct a wall around this stronghold. Use long Iron rods to reinforce the concrete. Get with the carpenters to have them build you forms to start your work."
I then drew out semantics and handed it to the blacksmiths
"This is a cannon that far surpasses anything available right now. It has rifled berrel wich will substantially increase its accuracy and the round itself is curved cone shape to increase its range. The berrel itself is longer and it's loaded from the back to increase its reloading speed."
It looked like WW2 artillery
The carpenters will assist the stone masons for now
All the craftsmen were speechless and they looked over the plans with vigor.
"We cannot stay here stagnant. No doubt our enemies are planning to make their next move and we will meet them with force"
"Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions louder than your words"
