The unseen sky soon illuminated by the crimson light that flew out into the sky, glowing in life.
Cayle's gaze landed upon the crimson blood gleaming like a blood moon, as soon his control returned to his body. However, although he had finally gained control over his body, he could feel his soul moving in the direction of the crimson liquid that came from his wounds. The calm posture his eyes had suddenly turned 360, gleaming with a crimson hue of resentment. The hatchet that almost penetrated his skin, continued to venture deep within. The pain suddenly ached on his side, Cayle wanted to hurry and cut to pieces the bastard who struck his broad shoulder. Before the blade of the orc's hatchet penetrated through his bones, Cayle sent the hatchet flying by exerting every strength he had on the gripped sword.
The orc stumbled a few retreating steps, before coming to halt. A ruthless cold eye glared upon his whole existence, as his body shivered in fear. Cayle didn't hasten the pace and approached the orc slowly before arriving in front of it. Like a child's play, he gave the orc a grin, before sending its head flying up to the sky. The orc must be in heaven now, after all, he was killed by such a great existence. Cayle didn't feel sympathy for some reason, instead, he suddenly had the feeling that they deserved such a cruel death. Just think about how many innocents have they killed, that alone made his blood boils.
The surrounding orcs trembled in fear as they watched their own kin's head fly out beautifully onto the unseen sky. Dark large sparrows called crows attempted to catch the head, however, since it's too heavy, it wasn't able to even lift the floating head up. The cold temptation on his eyes subsided immediately, before biting his lip in despair. The moment their kin's head soon fell down onto the ground, all of them had their eyes burned in vengeance. Without waiting for Cayle's to pay attention to their presence, they steadily ran forward dragging their legs to its very limit. As they ran forward, they really thought they're already doomed, and their lives were about to come to an end. Actually, they even started wishing for a great warrior to show up, even if it's an enemy or a foe it didn't matter to them anymore, as long it could buy time for them to escape.
And that dream of theirs really did come true, when they were meters away from the human, a brave orc suddenly stepped up, and dashed forward, at the speed of a cheetah. His large body doesn't fit his speed, which could match the fastest car in the modern world. The other orcs paled in comparison, just how did the orc become that fast with such a huge body!
Like the other orcs, Cayle was also surprised, with his guard down. The orc soon arrived near him, however with such a close distance, it seemed like the orc had fears about his unknown strength, and quite distancing itself. Using the opportunity of the human letting his guard down, the orc swung his hatchet forward without any plan.
Cayle took several retreating steps, successfully evading the orc's hatchet, however, that wasn't the end of it. With a barrage of assaults, the orc continued to slash forward with his hatchet without giving the human time to breathe. He thought that he was finally winning as he was about to corner the human into the corner… That was what he really thought, but he was wrong all along. The human grinned with the cold sword in his hand, with seemingly mocking eyes while dodging his barrages of attacks.
The orc could feel how powerless he was in front of the human. He didn't even notice that the human was just playing around, doing nothing but dodging. Even though the orc immediately noticed the difference between the two of them, he didn't choose to retreat. After all, in the first place, his goal is to buy time for his other kins to escape.
Cayle brought forward his blade and swung it as fast as he could. What was he trying to do slashing obviously forward? Even the orc was kind of dumbfounded as he stared deeply at the incoming blade. Although it was fast, he's kind of confident he could dodge such a simple attack.
A few second…
A few hours…
How long I've been here… The orc started losing himself as he continued glaring over the incoming blade attempting to cut his neck, however, no matter how careful he was, preparing to dodge the incoming blade, every hour passed it only moved an inch.
Just how long… The cornered of its eyes started moistening, the orc wanted to wipe away the moist in his eyes, but didn't have time since he had to defend against the incoming attack…
His cave-like surroundings soon became endless darkness, only the orc and the human was in the center of the light. Despite such a situation unfolding in front of him, he remained calmed and watched out for the blade… He didn't even know that a century had already passed through his mind.
Cayle beheaded the orc, as soon the orc froze with its eyes widened motionless, although he had no idea why it stopped, he didn't hesitate to severe its head off by taking advantage of such a situation.
The orc's still frozen eyes gleamed a hue, as its head flew out to the entire dark surroundings. Cayle found it creepy, having seen such scenery before his eyes. Even at its death, the orc was still frozen like a statue, before he knew it, he started finding it weird how the orc stopped on its track earlier.
Could it be, someone helped me out again? Although Cayle only considered it, as a matter of fact, his heart still sunken deep thinking that someone might be watching him without his permission… Probably, it didn't saw me shitting myself on the toilet, right? Cayle felt a cold sweat dripped out from his back in creepiness, after all, he didn't know what kind of plan the unknown creature was scheming.
Well, surely not… After spraying the lime green blood tainted on his blade, to the ground. Cayle stood up only to hear a scream.
Kereureuk!
A loud scream flew into the sky in terror, the other orcs from afar had fallen to their knees in the ground. Even though Cayle was being such a humble person as to not chase after them, they still dared glared their bladders at him as if they're staring at a monster.
The orc's head who's fighting him head-on earlier had his head flying. Although he kinda felt a bit sympathy that he didn't have any other choice but to eliminate the obstruct in his way, the one who would be dead next would be him if he let such a dangerous creature continued chasing after him.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
You guys are the monsters here though!! Cayle tightened his hold in the hilt of his sword, bloody veins started appearing on his foreheads. How could they looked at him like that, just who the hell do they think who could tear apart someone just for their flesh, huh? Obviously, they're much savage than him in every aspect?
Cayle took his time removing the dirt on his blade while staring at them, never leaving his sight into their backs.
As soon they saw an opening, they used that timing when the human got distracted for a few seconds and started running. They knew that if they didn't take this opportunity, it'll never come again for a second time, that's why without hesitation, they scattered immediately like a horde of armies planning a coup de tat.
Whatta funny sight this was… Even at the history in this world, or may it be myths on his previous world, did he heard about mighty orcs running on their tails after encountering a superior creature. Just how did they fell so low… Although their intelligence did increase, they ended up becoming trash cowards which are common in his previous world, probably in this world too.
Suddenly, a smirk appeared on his face, making him somewhat a cruel demon. The orcs from afar ended up glancing their ways towards his direction, as their eyes widened in fear. They all had question marks floating to their heads.
And in the blink of an eye, the human's figure suddenly vanished into thin air. Almost out of breath, they searched through their surroundings before finding a human which as fast as the orc from before. Did he grow stronger from the battle? From what they remember, he wasn't as fast as that as before...
"*sigh…*" Cayle drew a short momentum before catching up with an orc near him, and soon appeared at its side. Considering how the brave ones who fought him and ended up buying for the sake of buying time for its other kin's sake, he even started pitying them.
(Only if they were born as humans, they would be those warriors whose willing to throw their lives for the sake of their country..)
Unfortunately, they're not, fate could be awful sometimes, no, more like all the time. For some reason Cayle's eyes started moistening, he wiped it away before embarking forward.
The orc tried its best to shake him off, unfortunately, his strength was not enough. After a few escapes and attempts, Cayle soon finished off the orc before chasing after the escaping ones from afar.
Now that I think about it, my previous life was pretty much comfortable than in here, he could laze around and do nothing but game all day, only worrying about the meal, unlike in this barbaric place where there are dangers everywhere. Although he hated it, he started wishing that probably there could be a way to return to his old world, right? Even if he's a dead body already, he didn't care as long as he could return to the peaceful earth he once lived.
The orc whose at their feet running, glanced back and saw a human which had tears nearly dropping at the end of his eyes. Soon, their faces all carried dumbfounded looks as they exchanged glances towards each other, before swarming up in one place…
Although it was a simple glance, they all understood each other as if they had formed a plan. Well, actually since they could sense a bit of change in the human's mood, they decided to take advantage of it and flee. By swarming up in one place, they thought that perhaps the human would find it weird, and would be cautious at his every moment.
And just like as they guessed, his movement really did came to halt.
However, they were wrong at one thing…
As soon the orc's figure gathering at one place appeared before his eyes, a memory deep-buried into his mind suddenly came to life. A group of his previous life colleagues running for a first-place on a track on-field started played into his mind like a videotape.
There was a memorable event that happened to his life when he was still at his peak of gaming. The company he was working for once held a running competition, and to his surprised, his first loved from his high school days showed up.
Although days and years had already passed when they last saw each other, Cayle's affection towards her never fades away, even for a single night. Because of that, he held a hope that she'll notice him, and even though he hated running, he decided to join the running competition.
And after the competition started, luckily, his lazy engine down his pants suddenly came to life and began lending him infinite stamina. As a result, he ended up winning the match, with a gold medal.
He thought that his first love will soon make her move and would come running towards him with a towel in her hand, fortunately, it is just like as he guessed, soon, his first loved made its move and began running towards him.
Like a bear, waiting for its prey to come forward, Cayle opened his arms and prepared for a hug, with his eyes sparkling in joy. However…. Howwweeeeevveeeerrrr!!!
Her cuddle which supposed to be for him, and him alone, didn't come, instead, her ladylike figure which supposed to jumped towards him, passed through his presence as if he didn't even exist, before arriving in front of his manager, and offering her towel with f*cking heart shapes gleaming in her eyes!!
"Aaaarggghhh!!!" Like a madman carrying a deadly weapon, the blood in his legs pumped up intensely, as his eyes carried bloodthirst, with tears befalling from his eyes sockets. His desire to murder his boss from his previous life burned ablaze, whenever the shrugging face of his manager came floating onto his mind.
Glancing his way, every strand of their hairs stood up from their skins, the orcs could feel his killing intent penetrating through their skins.
Eckk!
Breaking through their very limits, the orcs forced their legs to ran forward, unlike before their speed was much faster, at the speed of a cheetah. They always did surpass my imagination, with a wry smile etched on his face, Cayle praised the orcs inwardly of their way on how fast they cope with every situation.
Although he was kind of sadden by the fact that they were getting farther, and farther away, he couldn't really keep up with them. Before he didn't have to worry about his stamina, since it seemed endless, however, his situation as of now, seemed critical. He could no longer feel his unlimited stamina, and pain, fatigue was running at every part of his body slowing him down.
The orc must haven't noticed him weakening, after all, they thought that they were finally outrunning him even though the truth was, Cayle just really ran out of stamina, no, more like, he was about to run out of stamina.
Instead of fear, a joy that he never felt before leaked out from his lip, as his lip formed a shape of a crescent moon deep in a grin. Even he found it weird, never in his dream did he imagined that once he grew up he will grow up as someone who enjoyed exhaustion even though in his previous life, it was the most thing he hated in his entire life.
Well, there was a legend that once said that the most thing you hate could become you after all. After disregarding the fact, the pain suddenly arrived at his feet, and he could feel all the wounds he had received from all his battles ached painfully, making his face paled in grief.
Those bastards who were running for their lives resembled his manager so much, that the exhaustion he had was overpowered by his burning resentment.
In every step he took, he could feel an increase of speed in his feet. His legs were trembling in pain and were starting to adapt to the changes his body was experiencing in a short while, and before he knew it, his speed was becoming faster even though he hadn't even touched his stats options.
As soon the distance between him and the orcs was finally coming to an end, the orcs suddenly changed their directions, and headed inside the cave, before entering. They didn't even take a glance from behind, to study his expression, Cayle thought that the orcs must be scheming something, as the orcs hurried ran inside without even paying attention to him.
Even though the risk was high, Cayle still followed them inside at full caution. After all, it was possible that the cave has traps everywhere.
When he arrived in front of the cave, there was nothing unusual about the cave, it seemed like just any other simple cave. However, that's what makes it so special, so instead of being at ease, he didn't rest his eyes and continued studying his surroundings.
After scanning his surroundings and finding the whole area seemed the same, he marked the area as a safe one, before embarking forward.
As his eyes stared deeply through the unfading dark ceilings, his eyes began clouding in moist, becoming a bit blurry in his own tears. In his previous life, when their company held a mountain climbing before, he got lost with his first love. Not only there were two of them in the middle of the woods, the worst one that he always wished to die also got lost with them, his one and only f*cking manager.
Although it was kind of cliche, just like what he had always seen from dramas played on television, his first love cried in tears, as her feet fell off the ground powerlessly. Even though he wanted to rushed out to help that time, his legs trembled in anxiety, as soon his first love, voiced out her true feelings towards him; "Don't get close to me…"
Such simple words yet sounded tragedic in and out his ears. Even though he refused to admit that it was his first love's true nature, he could only swallow his dry saliva in anxiety. At the same time, he felt like there were a thousand swords stabbing deep within his heart, at the very same time.
Even now that memory remained engraved deep within his silver soul.
Also, as far as he could remember, they also saw a cave that had the same features as the one in front of him right now. Due to that, the memory of his first love embracing each other in front of him boldly etched in pain on his heart.
Although he had no reason to resent, he felt like destroying the cave, no matter what angle he looked at, the cave resembled so much the one in his previous life, that irritated him so much. Once his business inside is finished, he swore to himself that no matter what, he'll definitely destroy the cave in front of him, even if he had to use a bomb. Wait… Do they even have bombs in them? Wished there is.
At every angle he looked at, he didn't found a single trap, not even the basic ones were there. If it was about traps, then he knew full well about them after all. Since, in his previous life, he had always been tormented and got punned tons of times by the same person, he knew as his, "fucking manager." by setting traps.
