A room vail in darkness, in that world full of shadows, there was a single light gleaming within. A monitor wide in length, before it's figure could shine through the bitter sky, there was a cold throne which could catch one's attention.
At the center of that figure, sitting atop the cold throne was a middle aged man, through his field of view, he intensely tightened his hold upon the mouse which was usually used for moving an arrow inside the monitor, before browsing through the internet..
His paled white face glued itself in front of the monitor, all his focus was obviously inside the contents. the monitor screen was emitting.
Mesmerizing eyes which had the beauty of a gem, continued to glued it's gloomy features, before stretching his palm forward to the side. He didn't even glance to the side like he was full of confidence that something was there, before his palm actually grabbed a 1.5 bottle of cola.
Soon, he brought the cola close to his longing tiny pink lip, as the tip of the bottle soon entered his mouth, the gloomy eyes he had turned livid… There was a glimpse of happiness coming out from his face.
Before his lively eyes turned black in darkness again, he narrowed his eyes through the content embedded to the monitor, before groaning in despair.
Again…..
Stretching his arms up to the sky, he yawned lazily as his gaze landed upon the ceiling. His body drastically shook as he tried to shrug away the pain, after all, it's been a long time since he last did some stretching, he could feel his muscles ache all over his body.
"AAACCKKK… That hurt.,, My b, bacckkk….." From the throne where he had stretched his hands up to the sky, he could feel his bones aching all over the place. Although he could feel the pain coming from his side, he himself doubted that he could feel such a simple pain. With his dark hair sitting atop his head, a figure of a middle aged man was engrossed to his monitor while holding a bottle of cola. His name was Cayle Mischieve, a professional gamer whose profession was mainly gaming.
A gamer that in his youth was blessed at virtual games, and name was roared into the sky like a gophel who served the Gods as his messenger. He was praised by millions of town's with their eyes watching his every fight, that memory was so special to him that he often vividly remembered it, and was suddenly flooded with cocky feelings.
Unfortunately, reality was a cruel one. His manager who couldn't let go of him in the past, immediately abandoned him as soon promising ones surfaced, and his skills plummeted to the bottom cycle.
Also, thanks to that manager investing in the newly rising youths, his life that was supposed to be doing great, became the worst he could ever wished for.
Cayle chuckled in all sadness, his gloomy eyes landed upon the ceiling before cursing inwardly; "I'll definitely become famous again! Yoooouuuu fuckinnn maaanaaageeerr!!" the gloomy eyes he was keeping gleamed in resentment, before his resolve to fight back became stronger and stronger… "I'll definitely rise in ranks, and one day make you beg for me just to be contracted!!!!"
Although his words sounded genuine, there was a glimpse of desperation mixed in within his wimpy voice. How he would dare to challenge someone whose position was too far away from his. After all, not only did his manager's disappearance cause a commotion, his carefree life also got ruined two months after his contract got terminated.
Even though he had managed to save up some savings from years of being a gamer, it wasn't enough for him to continue living for years, therefore, his normally calmed features became cold in despair. Not only did he have no stable job, moreover, he could only earn for living through engrossing himself in sickening virtual games.
Two months had already passed, and yet the numbers on his bank account could barely be counted. All the saving he had saved up was close to being done for. Probably, with the remaining saving he currently had, he could possibly last for more than a few weeks or a month,
So instead of doing nothing, sulking about things, he changed his way of thinking and immediately browsed through the internet in an attempt to find a game that would definitely fit his taste, and talent.
Even so, whenever he used his fingers into scrolling down the page, his eyes suddenly darkened with frightening looks, as he muttered something to himself; "Maybe… I should just look for a decent job…"
Finding a new job will be hard for a guy like him who had been sitting on a chair for years. He also didn't have great build like the youtuber he used to watch nor has a persistent personality, so finding one was a hopeless thing for him. Still, if he fails to find a game that would suit his liking, he will have no other choice but to enter some part time jobs just to keep himself alive. Despite that, although it was only a glimpse of hope, he was hoping he would be able to find one... As he continued browsing through the internet in search of a new career path, his notification mail made a weird announcement, that was his notification ringtone.
Without wasting any time, he immediately went to the mail's website. All sorts of messages regardings newly updates, games etc appeared before his eyes. The reason he barely used his mail was because the content he had always seen were all over the same. Although that's just a matter of fact to him, normally he should have ignored the notification, however, he could feel that something was amiss today, and subconsciously entered the website.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
At the beginning of the content, there was a newly arrived message. He could tell that this was the notification that he had heard for some reason. Although there were also new arrivals, he ignored those things and concentrated his consciousness upon the message.
If he's lucky and it's a contract, his future would be secured, however it's just a game that he was expecting on his mind, there would be nothing that would happen to him, instead regretting clicking on the bait would be the only thing that would surfaced in his mind.
Either way, he could only give it a try…
As soon he clicked into the message, a single link unfolded with nothing else. Not even a contract he was expecting shown up… Although he tried to hide it by biting his lips, his eyes was showing how disappointed he was.
Even at the link, there was nothing unusual. It's just like an ordinary video game platform. On top of the page, embed was a description about the game. The game was called "Magic And Sword Online." From it's weird name alone, he could tell how bad the naming sense the creator had.
After seeing those pre-images at the center of the page, describing the game, the game curioused him so much that it tempted him to download it. Maybe this one could be a good one to start with… Cayle was overjoyed as he stared upon the downloading file.
The file was large in size, so he guessed that it'll take a while. Taking off his plummeted buttocks from his cold throne, his cold gaze averted it's eyeing from his monitor, before gathering strength to his legs in order to stand up straight.
As soon his two feets stood on their own, they began walking before heading towards his kitchen to the side. The kitchen was a few meters away from his bedroom, so it didn't take a while till he arrived at his destination. In front of a vast refrigerator that was as tall as him, Cayle opened the fridge and soon, his expression turned sour as smokes floated around his face. The air was cold, that his deprived eyes almost blinded itself. After winking a few times, he finally got his eyes, working well. Inside the fridge was another 1.5 bottles of cola, not only there was one, the fridge itself was full of cola. The reason his saving gave up easily was because of his own fault. He loved cola so much that he couldn't stop buying it.
After taking a single cola out from the fridge, Cayle stretched his palm forward on top of the fridge, before actually grabbing something out. A few junk foods fitted very well on his palm, as he retracted his palm into his side. As soon he got what he wanted, he dragged his feets elsewhere before arriving into a simple sofa dyed in crimson red.
There's still memory vividly playing into his mind whenever he comes across his crimson red sofa. That memory was rather cruel, however, it's something that would forever remain deep in his heart.
The reason he left his house was because he was forced to, or rather, because he had no choice. Cayle wasn't really good at anything since he was born, whether it's studying or being an athlete, he always failed at everything regardless of that. His family has placed high hopes on him ever since he was born. After all, he was the only male born from the three of them, however as soon they noticed all his flaws, they immediately changed their attitudes towards him, and treated him like an existence never even existed, in short a free-lancer.
Tears flowed out from the end of his eyes, as he held his emotions at bay. The sofa reminded him so much of how they used to sit besides one another, while conversing sweetly, seating on it's soft cushions.
Cayle rested his buttocks upon the soft cushions of the sofa, before biting his lips, wet in emotions. After reaching out to the remote resting under a desk on his side, the television in front of him soon gleamed in white lights as soon he turned on the television. As usual like any other day, he was watching daily news being played on his television, with his lifeless eyes. Although it really bored him to death, it kind of excited him to the bones, from the thrilling stories about unknown things he had never even heard before.
As the television continued playing, Cayle stood up from the sofa before wiping away the tears on his eyes, before humming in happiness. He just loved humming alongside the news playing. When he returned to the kitchen he had gone to earlier, he took a kettle hanging into the side, before pouring a water inside of it.
Every week, Cayle would usually go shopping to buy some groceries. He would often buy canned foods which are easy to eat, and cup noodles that he badly desired. As soon he heard the kettle's whistle, Cayle immediately ran forwards and took out the kettle from the burning fire, before resting it on top of the cooled fire burner.
Cayle studied the temperature of the water, before taking out the cup noodles he had left into the side. Carefully, he gently opened the lid of cup noodles with delicacy, before pouring down the hot water, rampaging inside the kettle.
Humming with his warthm voice, the whole room became livid from his happiness. The gloomy place he had been into earlier, became rather bright, as he continued humming like a child, waiting for the noodles to be cooked.
At the instant that it was finished, he immediately felt delighted, and started eating like a wild beast. The sweet aroma of the noodles floated up to his nose, before making his face blushed in reddish color. Before long, as soon he finished eating the noodles, he suddenly felt his throat becoming dry, before his belly made an itchy feeling, and like a drunkard old man, Cayle shamelessly roared out in burped to the ceiling he had been resenting lately.
After turning off the television, he began dragging his feets back to where they first came from, before arriving into his dark room. There was a cold throne at the center, and a wide in length monitor, which had an eye catching scenery embedded in it.
As soon he arrived into his cold throne, Cayle rested his buttocks upon the soft cushions his cold throne had, before gazing out to the downloading file. As he expected, the download was already finished. Without wasting any seconds, he immediately installed the game, and as soon it arrived as an icon, Cayle played the game without hesitation.
As soon he clicked the icon of the game, the screen went black, before the whole screen was dyed in gray, however on closer inspection, at the center of the monitor, there was a login button alone.
Weird… From all the games he had played so far, this one was the weirdest one he couldn't even compare to the beta one's he had seen so far. There was no sign up option, instead just a single 'login button' was as it's center. If not for the fact he was kind of curious about it's gameplay, Cayle wouldn't have gone out his way just to download the game.
After trying a few more times, clicking every nook and cranny, he soon lost his temper and googled the game itself, however, whenever he searched the game, neither it's creator nor it's site couldn't be found anymore. Now that I think about it, beta games are usually like this… After a few thoughts, Cayle finally decided and clicked the login button. Soon, two options showed up in front of him, as his motionless lip revealed a smile.
[ARE YOU READY TO ENTER A NEW WORLD?]
[YES/NO]
From those two descriptions alone, Cayle could already guess that the game was possibly a game that wasn't released yet. Delighted, he didn't hesitate to click the [YES] option, and soon, his eyes became quite hazy as he felt his head rather high…
His quiet cheeks soon fell off the desk, before his arms crawled up while trying to fight back…
N, no… Not like this….
He could feel his consciousness drastically vanishing.
I, I can't die… Like… This....
His gloomy eyes which carried the coldness of a majestic king started losing it's light, however, he never faltered and continued fighting on.
However, as times passed by, his body gradually weakened as he started seeking for help. But, no matter how loud he screamed or cried out, nobody came to his aide. His fading consciousness soon gave up and he was thrown into an endless void.
He had already thought that he was doomed, as he couldn't think any further. Although he could feel his eyelids deep within the void, he really didn't want to close it right now, and just desired to cry to his heart's content.
Cayle slowly closed the tired eyelids of his eyes, and soon fell to slumber.

A gust of wind brushed past a youth's face, and soon something resounded out of nowhere.
When the youth tried to find where it's belonging, a chart made out of light, was surprisingly in front of him, with words embed into it.
