As his foots landed on the ground, the beautiful land filled his views.
There were trees everywhere, and from afar, a town was on sight.
Apart from animals eyeing him in the shadows, there was nothing unusual with floor 1.
Before heading to the town, Cayle went to the woods to catch some fish near the riverside.
He had no finishing net nor a bait, so instead, he stepped his feet under the water, to wait for an opportunity. Sometimes, as he observed the gushing side of the said river, one or two would come to his way.
Unfortunately, since his experience of survival out the woods was low, and he doesn't even get out of his room in his previous life, he couldn't catch one with his sword.
Knowing that he won't be able to catch one, Cayle gave up wasting time and headed deep into the woods instead.
Although there were a lot of stares surveilling his movement, they didn't seem to hold the bloodthirst to kill him, never coming out from their hiding. At most, they seemed to be afraid of Cayle instead.
Cayle ignored the stares onto his back and traveled even deeper into the woods.
After walking for some time, he decided to turn back after not finding anything important. Going deeper would be wasting time after all.
Coming back to where he first came from, Cayle headed towards the town.
Along the way, there was nothing really suspicious, the surroundings look ordinary. But, its ordinary presence what makes it mysterious. If only there's a bit clumsy atmosphere around, he wouldn't have doubted his surroundings as an abnormality.
Cayle felt the sun began heating in high temperature. It was as if, he was in front of a stone furnace which is in an intense blaze.
While walking down the lodge, not being able to see a thing because of the blinding light of the sun, Cayle accidentally bumped into someone.
As the woman moaned in pain, Cayle adjusted his sight before stretching his hand to help out the grumbling figure in the ground, "Pardon… Can you get up?"
The woman got up from her feet, not grabbing his hand. Her eyes were as beautiful as a crimson gem.
"I'm fine. Watch your step next time."
"I, is that so…" Cayle has never held a conversation with a woman before. That's why, when it comes to conversing with one, he's worst than all that could possibly be called worst.
Reading the expression written on his face, the woman chuckled before fixing her posture, "Why? Are you somehow lost?"

"N, not really…"
"That so."
Immediately, the conversation died down.
Cayle pointed at the town at their sight, "A, ah… E, err… I'm heading towards that town…"
"Oh… Creyful Town..? What a coincidence, I'm also heading in that direction… I live there after all.."
"Oh… Ahaha… You live there..? You should have told me so…" Cayle scratched his head in all awkward.
Their conversation was so dead, that a lich might get resurrected from their conversation alone.
After that last conversation of them, they started walking alongside each other, dragging their feet to the same path.
Soon, as the town became a few meters away, the woman's motionless expression came to life as she leaps forward, running towards the entrance. With a last glance, the woman bid farewell, "A, ah… My home is close… So… Bye!"
She left in hurried as if preventing from conversing with him again...
Cayle watched her back and sighed. That fellow is rude, she didn't even give a decent farewell, and immediately ran off…
Reaching the entrance gate of the town, there's no guard surveilling the gate so he entered the town without waiting for a guard to come.
As he walked forward at the side fixed roadway, Cayle glanced side by side.
Just like the modern world, he was living in, there were huge buildings everywhere, as well hotels and family restaurants. What he expected was something like a medieval period setting, so his face couldn't hide the bitter expression he had as he bit his lips.
Cayle took out the purse in his pocket, and took a looked at his remaining coins… Only 1,000 coins, Cayle felt depressed, as he stared gloomily onto his purse. Not only the currency in this world has the same as his previous life. Everything in there was also much more expensive than in his previous life.
Cayle groaned in despair as he entered a family restaurant. His belly has been grumbling since he was in the forest. He tried catching fish to save some coins he had but since he was too novice, he couldn't catch even a single frog.
Cayle entered the family restaurant and sat at the empty space in the side. When he called out for a waiter/waitress, a figure ran to his side. Cayle stared blankly at the desk before his sight, as his belly grumbled.
"Sir, here's the menu." The figure handed out a menu to the clumsy Cayle.
"Thank you." When Cayle shifted his gaze upon the fellow to take the menu, his pupils widened in shock. Sweat started pouring at his back again…
The woman earlier who he encountered and resent due to her attitude was wearing a waiter suit, serving in front of him. The style was boyish, a white in insides and black on outside pair of upper clothes, and dark jeans pared with black elegant shoes.
"Y, you again…" The girl cried out at his figure while sighing. Does she hate him that much? Cayle never really did something to anger her, so why does it looked like she resent him just like how he does.
"I'm astonished as well. Are you possibly the one who shared the same red threads as mine?" Ever since he saw the surprised looked of her, Cayle got furious and showed his true nature too, to tease her.
"We may share the color of the same thread, but not connected to each...," The woman played along with his act, before putting down the menu onto his desk, "Sir, what's your order?"
"I, I'll think about it.." Cayle took the menu close to his face to hid his expression. He was extremely embarrassed. Not only did she answered him with a stoned expression, she even struck his heart with a thorn...
The woman left him after that. Now that Cayle has peace of mind since the woman already, he took his time looking at the menu. He already planned on calling another waiter once he found something cheap and into his liking…
As he was turning the menu page by page, his eyes nearly popped out in bloodstained. All of it was pricey!! He knew he stepped into the wrong realm, after all, instead of commoners, this seemed to be a where nobles usually hung around.
Furthermore, the cheapest one is fries. Its price was 1,000 coins, almost the same money he had in his pocket.
Cayle was about to stand up and change restaurant when the woman earlier came back, with a mocking smile, "Have you finally thought of order?"
From her tone alone, Cayle could see that she was mocking him.
Since his pride is on the line, Cayle hesitated for a moment whether to buy fries or not.
But before he could think of an answer, the woman hurt his pride again, "Oh… Don't tell me, you've lost your way and wandered around a place you shouldn't… Hohoho~~, that can't be helped."
Cayle didn't think of anything for so long and immediately ordered, his lips shaping in mockery, "Fries, I want to order fries. I got so full from the luxury restaurant I ate at earlier and got hungry again. I couldn't probably finish a meal right now at my current condition, so please serve me with a fries."
Delighted, the woman took his order while keeping her mocking smile, "Please wait here till we finished your order."
As the woman left, Cayle stared into her back, resenting her.
Cayle felt like he's been played…
He stared into the desk before his eyes, as tears started leaking out bit by bit.
One of these days, I'll definitely get my revenge!! Cayle cursed inwardly, as his tummy groaned unto the sky.

As he almost fell asleep from how long he had been waiting just for a fries to arrive… A friess!!.... He suddenly had woken up from a frightened scream.
Two thugs were complaining about how they didn't want to pay, however, the waitress, the same woman he encountered earlier, didn't step back and continued arguing, "Pay before leaving," her eyes were trembling and were kind of wet, watering.
Just from a single glance alone, Cayle immediately understood the situation… A dine and dash!!
Since his order hasn't arrived yet, he planned on using this confusion to sneak a complete escape.
But before he could even stand up, the woman glanced at his direction and stared coldly at him.
Cayle felt a cold ran down his entire spine…
