I have been experimenting for a while now and it seems that some force makes it impossible to stay on the planet as if it's a giant living planet that rejects outside forces. Wait couldn't I technically become a planet if I kept collecting asteroids?
I push my root through the portal again and my mana begins to drain, used for fighting against the planet's forces.

My mana is rapidly drained however when I was about to retreat my roots back in. The bushes rattled and something hopped out, a four-legged creature with a mane and a long moving tail that behaved as if it was also alive.
Chimera Level 45
Wait it had a level? Why does it have a level and I don't? Interesting, is it something only monsters have, or is its threat level?
It roared at my roots like it was a beast from legends however its legs were shaking as if it was beyond terrified. This is probably its territory and it's just forcing itself because of its pride.
Mana: 651/4504
My mana was running low so I just spent all the rest of my mana in a powerful boost of speed, my root grabbing around the beast and dragging it back into the portal. The chimera flailed around, roaring, scratching and biting. It immediately started suffocating when it got through the portal.
Having little time I started to test things, first, the portal covered root cuts just as well on living beings as material.
While it was trashing because of the severe pain of having a limp cut off and constant suffocation that was slowly killing it, I tried to change its shape with world manipulation and even close the wound but it refused. The same force that kept me from influencing the planet, stopped me from manipulating the monster's body, granted it was way weaker than the planet's force but still strong enough to stop me.
Not knowing what else to do I connected to it and surprisingly it worked it started to shake as my mana eroded it from the inside and slowly took over and after I was left with the same monster but this time it was calm with blue fire in its eyes, docilely awaiting a command.

It went up 9 levels? That's quite the change. I willed the tail to disappear and it did.
I started forming it to my liking, removing its legs and instead making giant spider-like legs and gave it a much bigger mouth with many, many more teeth giving it a constant smiling-looking face. An absolute abomination and the system agrees

Its species name was getting long and it even went up 4 more levels. I made it jump from root to root in the floating space and surprisingly I didn't need to keep the connection I could still order a new command while it was in between my roots and not touching my influence.
After some playing around I sent it back in the portal with the command that it should get more ‘experimentation materials’ so I could find out more about levels and make some more of these fine beasts.

As we get closer the feeling of dread and wrongness gets stronger and stronger but everything else looks the same. The same forest as it's always been, I have been around here a hundred times before. But it feels as if there are fewer and fewer insects around like they are fleeing.
Hugh stretches his hand out in front of us and we stop, he nods forward and in the distance, I can see a dark circle and immediately know it's the source of this wrong feeling. I nod at Hugh and we begin sneaking our way forward.
The closer we get the more the feeling of impending doom strengthens but before I know it we´re in front of a dark circle floating in space with stars in the darkness like we were looking at the night sky, but it's nothing as peaceful as that. It's with pure willpower that I'm still standing, every instinct of my entire being screams to run.
As we stare into the circle, it suddenly stares back, something slowly walks through and looms over us. A being beyond our understanding, a being that shouldn’t exist, blue fire glowing in its eyes.
I look towards Hugh, the fastest among “warn the others”, he nods, and then he's gone. “Hahahahaha I always knew this was how I was gonna die” Robert's muscles clench, his grip on his massive Warhammer tightens and he looks at me, I grab my axe from my back and nod, he nods back and we both look back and the beast.
“Arccccahcccc” The beast starts moving and so do we Robert rushes right in front of it and swings his hammer with all his weight and it collides with the rushing beast but, rather than its skull breaking, Hugh gets thrown back through a tree. But at that moment I swing my axe up towards its neck from the side and it only just avoids it leaving a small scratch, the beast bites into my arm but rather than screaming or even trying to escape I just slash it again this time leaving a bigger scratch but its hide it too tough to do anything of worth.
Hugh comes flying out from the forest and with an overhead swing, hits it right in its side, it grunts a little but it feels more like it finds it irritating than painful.
It throws me away and slices straight through Hugh, his body collapses in 2 pieces, dead. seeing my lifelong friend die, and myself on the way to the same fate, made my blood pump. My smile reaches my eyes, having been so long since I had last felt anything I start to laugh, as I rush on top of the beast.
