“Hello children” A woman says as she sits on a chair in front of about 10 children, all different species, sizes, and ages. She also had deep blue skin, long jet-black hair, and three golden eyes. “I am Ms. Echo, and I will be reading a personal story about... a friend who was in the war between Ceto and Hephaistos, also known as the Beginning of Eirene and Atë. Now, can someone raise their hand and tell me how we came up with these strange names?” She looks around at the small group, then her bright gold eyes land on a small child. She had pink skin, long pointed ears, and two long white horns from her forehead, she was a little ogre child. Echo smiles softly “Yes, little one?” She gestures for her to stand. The little girl stands as she takes a nervous breath.

“The name Ceto is derived from the Goddess Ceto, the one who was the Goddess of Water. We named the planet that because the planet was all water, except for the giant creatures who had grown islands on their backs and provided moving land on the water.” She blushed from shyness and Echo applauds her “Very good! And can someone tell me about Hephaistos?” A little boy raised his hand, he had gold skin, gear like eyes, and bright orange hair. She smiles and gestures for him to stand as the little girl sits.

The boy confidently stands up and smiles “Hephaistos was the god of metalworking, smithing, sculpture, masonry, fire and volcanoes. The planet was named after this god because the planet was made from metal and made by man. It ran off lava and hot substances and was propelled through space by the technology they had at the time, it also had little man-controlled vehicles that were shaped like fish that swam through space to other planets to get resources that the planet could not produce itself.” He smiled proudly as Echo and the class cheered for him.

Echo smiles “You all are so smart; can you tell me about the reason our planets are named Eirene and Atë now?” The children seemed to be stumped by this question, then a man walked up, he had silver skin, white eyes, and had lines going up his skin like a robot would. He smiles “Ah, miss, I can answer that, if you allow it.” He walks over, the children whisper and smile as they look up at him. Echo smiles “Yes sir, you may, and what is your name?” She tilted her head slightly, long elven like ears poke from her straight jet-black hair.

“I am Soul, and like you, a descendant of someone who was on the two planets, though unlike you, I am from Hephaistos.” He pulls up a chair, then places it next to Echos. “Now, the old worlds became the two worlds we live on today, Eirene being this planet we are on now. Eirene is the goddess of Peace, and so therefore this planet is where all things are peaceful and live in harmony. Though Atë is the goddess of ruin, the planet and the name of the planet that is orbiting us, the old Hephaistos. We are on the old planet Ceto. The land we are on now was made from remains of Hephaistos, and the shell of it that is now Atë is a prison for people who do very bad things.” He had an ominous tone when he spoke.

“Like what Mister?” A little girl with blue skin and deep violet hair asks as she looks up at the two with her crystal blue eyes. Echo and Soul look at each other with a nervous look, then sigh. “Like crimes against our ruler, and against the peace.” He had a very serious look on his face, it caused the children to back away and become anxious. “But why would anyone want to do that?”

Echo smiles “So, now that we know the meaning of the names, are you ready to hear my story?” She giggles as the children all cheer and nod, all of them scooting closer and Soul looking over to her, also paying close attention to her. She takes a deep breath, then smiles, the air becomes slightly thick, then all the sudden it appears as if they were transported back in time. It seemed like they were on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the large head of a turtle creature, though it was as big as a state and had a lush forest growing on its shell. A little girl ran past them, it looked like a small Echo “This is where our story begins, that little girl, will be the one who sacrifices herself to save the two clashing worlds”
