As I walk down the tunnel I take one last look over my shoulder at the site of my rebirth and my first battle, commiting it to memory before I move on.
But then I see something that makes me do a double take. The glint of metal catches my eye. The gremlins old, old dagger covered in blood, laying next to the grisly scene of the gremlins body being held aloft like a flag on a flag pole. Like a black flag that communicate s that no mercy will be given. That stone gremlin had not an ounce of mercy in it's entire being and I responded in kind.
I turn back and head over to the dagger. I lift it off the blood soaked rocks and hold it in my hand. I turn it over inspecting my new find. It's old, chipped, battered, and a bit rusty to boot. But it's still sharp enough to be of use. I think I'll take it with me.
But is there a better way I can carry this then in my hands? Can I just carry it inside of me? I attemp to insert the dagger into my stomach below my core. It sinks in to the mud until it disappears from sight. I can feel it inside my body, it's quite the weird feeling. Though even weirder then that I can grab the dagger inside my body and move it around. I play around with this for a bit and then manage to move it from my stomach through my arm and into my hand, all in about second. Which from the outside looks like a blade just suddenly appeareds my hand, like a magic trick. This is badass.
You have gained the skill
Internal object manipulation lvl 1
Oooh, I gained a new skill. Earlier when moving the blade around in my body I had to intensely focuse to do so, now It's as easy and natural as moving my hand, and faster then before to. It's like a hidden surprise weapon that can appear any where on my body in moments notice and move independently of my hands.
But more importantly this proves Its possible to earn skills simply by doing things, which is good to know.
I turn back around and start heading back down the tunnel In the direction I was heading earlier. As I made my way down the tunnel the steady noise of the dripping of water was getting louder. The tunnel itself was changing to. It was gradually getting wider, the pale green moss that grew in the tunnel was getting more and more prevelent.
I even saw a small cluster of mushrooms. They where about three times as tall as my pointer finger is long, which I have, I'm only missing my pinky finger. They had long thin stalks and a short wide and flat cap. They were a pale white in color and their lamella on the underside of there cap were a eye catching neon blue that seemed to glow slightly, casting a pale blue light in the dark. I leaned in to admire them as they were quite the sight, especially in an otherwise relatively bland tunnel. I poked it with my finger. I thought touching the mushroom was safe, what could go wrong? But I was in fact nieve and very wrong. The mushroom fought back. It's pale blue glow rapidly growing brighter and brighter, until it got so blindingly bright it had me covering my face with my arms, cringing back, and screaming internally. Like a vampire in sunlight. I think the flash of light lasted around 6 seconds, but I was left basically blind for a minute. That must have been the mushrooms deterrent, to help discourage animals from eating them. If you have to go through that every time you take a bite, and who knows they may also be poisoness on top of that, combine those two and most animals won't touch them.

I countinued on slightly iritated and party blind and immediately walked into a stalagmite, that's right my good old friend the stalagmite and my acquaintance the stalactite were both still here, and in numbers at that. I walked around the stalagmite and countinued on. As I walked I noticed the tunnel was slowly rising upward. After a few minutes of walking I was coming up to a sharp turn in the tunnel.
That was when I suddenly heard a noise. A very, very quiet one. It was a gurgling noise like the noise someone makes when they are gargling water in their mouth. But it was much quieter then the sound of dripping water. In fact the dripping water was also really close by. I quietly pushed up against the wall and carefully inched forward towards the turn. When I got close enough I sneaked a peak at what was around the corner.
There were quite a few interesting things that I could see, one of those is what I presume to be the exit to the surface, a hole in the distance at the end of the tunnel through which copious amounts of sunlight shown through. Another place of interest was the puddle on the ground around not far away. There was water dripping into it slowly. This was the source of the noise I have been using as my guiding compass all this time. But other than those two things there was nothing of note.
That's odd I could of sworn I heard something in this area. Did I just mishea- I just heard the gurgle again, and it's source should be right in front of me... Oh... Oh no. There is nothing on the ground nothing and nothing on the walls. But there is one more place something could be... The celling. As much as I don't want to look up, I have to look up. So I do. And what I see sends shivers down my non existent spine.
It's a thing of nightmares. A giant black mass clings to the celling it's surface looks like layers upon layers of hundreds of snakes which are constantly wriggling and twisting silently. And in the center of the mass above the puddle is a giant circular mouth big enough to swallow me whole lined with rows upon rows of thousands of razer sharp dagger like teeth. The teeth are the only part of this horror that is not pitch black. And behind it's teeth lies a void. A black hole. So dark that it seems as though light can't even escape it, or maybe light is simply to repulsed to bear with touching this foul creation. From it's open maw slowly drips thick spit. Drip drip drip. Slowly filling and indent on the floor forming a puddle.
Fuck no. I quietly turn around and start sneaking away.
