My plan is set. I got a new skill. Unfortunately I don't have the time to investigate it. If he decides to turn around it will immediately become a much harder fight for me, so into battle I go. I feel a faint itch at the back of my core but due to spending many years in a human body, where itching is unfortunately a thing of life, I ignore it. And begin to put my plan into action.
Step 1: I find a pebble and pick it up.
Step 2: I silently slink out from behind the ultimate hiding place(rock).
Step 2.5: hidden from sight by my own body, right behind me I use my earth manipulation to make a sturdy compressed stone spike just over 3ish feet tall.
Step 3: I prepare earthen projectile spell, pre-aim it at the middle of the back of his head.
Step 4: drop pebble.
Step 5: when he jerks around to locate the source of said noise fire at his face. Discombobulate.
Step 6: he is now mostly blinded, enraged, and dazed from the impact he's now move towards where he saw me.
Step 7: I stay where I am and prepare another earthen Projectile spell, this is a risky move but the potential pay off can't be ignored.
And that's where everything went to shit. Unfortunately until this moment I forgot these wise words of wisdom "make your plans simple and stupid, then you won't be upset when it fails because no plan survives contact with the enemy..." sun tzu probably. No my plan!!!!
Step 8?: the enemy sides steps to the left and does a horizontal swing in the wide tunnel.
Step 9: panic!!!
I see this log coming at me, I'm only saved by my quick thinking, I manage to use my liquid body to slip around to the back of the spike I had set up earlier. The spike explodes into pieces with a boom on impact, but in doing so it took most of the energy out of the swing. Still it hits me like a fully loaded freight train, sending me flying like a ragdoll.

Luckily I'm resistant to blunt damage, but even then he still hits hard.

While I'm sure he is enraged, and partly blinded, he has alot more experience then I thought he would, I should have known when I saw his collection of hunting trophies, that he was probably used to taking hits, and even more used to giving them.
Though I have to say my dodge was good... To good. How did I react so quickly? It must be that parallel mind skill... But wait, as far as I'm aware I have not activated it. Well no time for that now.
I have to release this earth projectile spell... Wait what? Since when did I finish forming this, I thought it was disrupted? Well I'm not complaining, fire!
In order to launch my spell as fast as possible while also not missing I aimed at center mass, even though the head would result in more damage. It hits the center of his lower left rib, which produces the sharp crack of a bone breaking, which despite not being that loud seemed to cut through the noise of the fight like a knife through butter. Including the grunt as he took the hit.
At the same time his club is barreling through the air towards me. Same attack again? Are you underestimating me!?
I collapse my body down to the ground causing him to whiff his swing, cutting it so close that I could hear the woosh of the club shoving aside the air where my chest was a moment ago.
My earth magic is already activating when I see an opportunity. He's taking a step foward with his right foot as he follows through with his swing. I form a simple earthen shape. A thin stake, just 5ish inches long, about all I can form in the limited time frame, and considerably more then before I had the parallel mind skill. I think I have a new favorite skill.
He slams his foot down hard with most of his body weight behind it. The spike glides through his makeshift boot and then punches through the tough skin of the sole of his foot, and then continues to go straight through the whole damn thing. I can see the blood covered point of the stake sticking out of the top of his foot.
He lets out a roar and looks down at his foot with what I can only guess is supposed to be a look of surprise. Unfortunately this only stops him for a few seconds before he lifts his foot up to get it off the stake. Though those few seconds are enough.
I have taken advantage of him so being so gracious as to close the distance for me, and I use the momentary lapse in his focus to charge at him and get in between his legs.
I draw my dagger and go for his left legs achilles tendon. I slash at it while smoothly incorporating my kinetic linking skill, while my dagger did struggle to cut through the tough and thick tendon, I am certain that I cut at least half of the tendon.
The troll, as I have decided to call it, lets out a pained roar and stumbles back. I keep charging foward with the intent of taking advantage of his momentary weakness. The troll suddenly winds up and punts me, sending me airborne, head over heels into a wall.
