I have been walking for a long time. And all I see is much of the same. occasionally I come across a fork in the path, I have decided I will only take the far left path unless there is a reason for me to head right, I have also marked the wall of the cave with my dagger to leave a trail, these measures will hopefully make it so i'm able to find the exit to this place after I get strong enough to beat that thing that lurks above.
Or at least make it past it, no I want to beat it. I'm not half assing this. If I run away now i'll have to run away later when danger rears it's ugly head again. I mean i'm not against living to see another day, so i'll run if there is no other way, but I dont want to make a habit of it. Speaking of getting stronger to reach the surface I have killed a few things so far since the big bat, but nothing of and intrest or significance.
3 surprisingly weak lesser ground mice. And a low leveled big bat, who was clearly a less skilled hunter then the last one. I leveled up twice from this, to level 6. I have put all 12 of my stat points that I was sitting on into endurance. I know, I know, it may be a better idea to spread them out, but when I was thinking about how I should distribute them, a image popped into my head of a horrifying monster lunging out of the darkness, hitting my core and instantly one shotting me. A sad way to go. Dammit. So into endurance it goes. Skill wise I have not had much luck, minor physical resistance has progressed to lvl 4. mainly because after I realised how weak they were, I let those lesser ground mice land free hits on me, to see if I could cheese (heh) the skill system, to make a long story short, the answer is yes.
I have not really had much luck with gaining any new skills. I should probably start trying things. Like maybe If I try to strike my enemies with as much force as possible, Could I get a heavy strike skill or something? As ideas flood my head I steeple my hands in front of me. This is going to be fun.

Goal: obtain striking based skill.
After awhile of searching I found a test subject, a particularly ugly gremlin wielding a somewhat sharp rock as a weapon. I mean, I have only seen one other gremlin, so i'm clueless about gremlin beauty standards~. But i'm sure this specimen possess the face only a mother could love.... I'm not a jerk. I just have a justified underlying hate of these things after one almost took away my second chance. That's the excuse i'm going with and you can't convince me otherwise. Anyway i'm getting off topic.
so how does one strike as hard as possible. I mean back on earth I have a bit of experience with a concept called kinetic linking, I used to box at one point, I mean I sucked at it... But that is irrelevant. So now I have a plan. I stop hiding and emerge from the inky blackness near the gremlin which was none the wiser. the gremlin makes a startled chirping noise as its head snaps in my direction. the gremlin breaks into a lopsided sprint, closing the distance. As it closes in I begin the prossess, winding up while steping foward, using my hips and twisting my body as one, throwing all my weight behind it. Swinging my arm foward with a tightly bunched fist solidified with my lesser harden skill. My arm snaps like a whip and makes contact. I had thrown what was the meanest haymaker of my life up to that point. "Crack!". the gremlins head snaped back as its jaw made a cracking noise. The gremlin proceded to stumble back and then drop like a log.
You have dealt 11 damage
You have put lvl 3 Cave Gremlin to sleep
You have gained the skill
Kinetic linking lvl 1
Good. I finish off the knocked out gremlin and level up once more to level 7. 3 more points go into endurance. This was a smashing sucess. I steeple my hands again. There are many, many things to do now.
