A Lonesome Gorgeous Sculpture

A Lonesome Gorgeous Sculpture

Her silver hair reminded me of my sister, Eneva. We were both born under the glory of my father, Dragon King Furious Haze and my mother a dragoness called Samantha the daughter of a then Dragon Emperor called Magnus.

My scales were golden by birth while hers were silver. During the earlier years of our lives and even forward, I and my sister were inseparable... between Dragons, there is no such thing as trust. Aside from my family, everyone else was an enemy... something I underestimated and paid the price for.

My sister was the first I ever lost. She died at the hands of a bastard that wanted her, and I couldn't protect her... I was too weak. She choose death and I respected it, I couldn't conceive someone else sullying my sister.

I killed that son of a bitch with my very claws later on, but it didn't bring her back. She would never be back.

When I regarded this silver-greyish woman, even if just her hair, it reminded me of my sister.

Alas, it is not her, so I shook my head and focused on those eight wings of hers, bypassing her gorgeous humanoid silhouette. Didn't I feel interested in her body? I did... even as a Dragon, the person I have loved the most in this life was an Empyrean... a humanoid.

Her body was definitely up there in my ranks, but I had seen and had too many. How many women came into my realm asking to 'conquer my heart'?... each of them was more gorgeous than the other and in the end, they just wanted my treasures!

At this point in time, if a female wasn't a dragoness strong enough to bear my child, I wouldn't even bother... the moment they appeared I turned them into beautiful golden sculptures, undoubtedly the most gorgeous pieces of art in my realm.

But this woman... she made me stop for a moment and contemplate her, wondering what she'd say next.

She's like an ant, a queen of ants in strength, but with beautiful silver hair and silhouette nonetheless. She had eight wings and could bypass my corrosion.

The curiosity about her origin kept me on edge more than what she had to offer physically.

"My name is Grayfia Lucifuge, I have no intention of injuring you or disrespecting you, mighty dragon…" She said to me, bowing down in respect.

'She will make a delicate golden sculpture. A demoness with eight wings. Could it be that some new species emerged after thousands of years of slumber?' sadly, despite her many wings, she wasn't remarkably powerful. Her aura didn't transmit to me any title; which meant that she wasn't even strong enough to hold a title.

There isn't any greed emanating from her for my treasures and she doesn't look like she wants to plunder any of them either. My biggest concern still was, 'Why is she not turning into gold?'

There is some force around her that made me frown deeply, it is preventing my aura from turning her into gold naturally unlike those gryphons. She was standing there as if awaiting my verdict. In front of my eyes, her existence is equivalent to a speck of dust yet my corrosion is not doing anything to her even as I -the core- am right in front of her.

'Have you found someone, Richter?' Her voice spoke to me again, clearly, she was witnessing everything that was happening with attentiveness.

'Get lost, Destiny' this time she was contacting me privately, out of the reach of the other Primordials.

I saw how the woman in front of me blushed all of the sudden and I tilted my head in confusion, why is she flustered?

'Don't be so cold to me, don't you love me?'

Destiny was insistent... you couldn't blame a hag with three trillion years of age for being patient. She wouldn't stop until I headed to her sacred pond and impregnated her, alas... that would be my doom, I would be forced to abandon Primordial Gold.

'After you betrayed me? with how much I trusted you?' I mocked her, reminding her of this for the millionth time.

'Y-You headstrong dragon! are you going to keep saying that, Richter? after thousands of years... I told you to not choose gold as your authority but you didn't heed me!'

'What I do with my life is my concern! stop speaking to me!' I was tired of her already, our past went way beyond what it should, I'm not willing to forget and she's not willing to let go.

'I thought we had settled this... could it be that I can't speak into your mind now? is it a crime for me to be concerned about you? the Gods under the heavens fear you but the Primordials mock you. Only I am by your side.'

'And Ether... moreover, you're with me only when it is convenient for you'.

The voice in my head remained silent for a while as if she was finally considering that she needed to stop bothering me for good. Destiny and I were complicated.

She was a combination of my ex-mate, pet, wife, teacher, mother, older sister, younger sister... as ridiculous as it sounded, perhaps even my stepdaughter...

Throughout my nigh-eternal lifetime, she has presented herself to me in many forms, leaving sadness and deception in each instance.

'Why don't you try to make this girl your first companion? at least have someone that will accompany you in this empty realm... perhaps you could research why she can tolerate your curse'.

'Indeed... perhaps she will be-' I gave it some consideration, this speck of dust... being able to tolerate my Gold was a great thing in itself.

"I'd like to conquer your heart, Mr Dragon. If you'd allow me" She said with a broad smile that captivated me for but a moment. However, I have not lived a hundred thousand years in vain.

'Scratch that, she's another one of those infamous gold diggers...'

I lost all interest I had in those eight wings and silver hair as fast as that same interest arose in me.

'Wait, Richter!' Destiny yelled within my mind in vain; opening my gigantic mouth; I turned that woman into gold.

I was correct, she did make a gorgeous sculpture.

How many times will they try to get into my cave and pretend to be my mates just so they can steal from me? Demon Empresses, Goddesses, Dragonesses, all of them fake vixens pretend to love me only to plunder my treasures as I slumber.

No more.

'You're no different Destiny... stop talking to me, I don't want you anymore'.

'Richter... I-I have never taken anything from you! I HATE YOU!' Her voice resonated in my head one last time, I could hear her weeping and sadness, but I didn't believe her.

Retracting my head I was ready to slumber for another hundred years or so, not feeling like abandoning my cave anytime soon. It is an advantage, when I'm sleeping I don't have to hear any of their annoying voices.
