Mei continued to impart her knowledge to Kay, delving deeper into the intricacies of Dust Knight weaponry and utilities. She explained the versatile arsenal that accompanied their armored suits, ranging from energy blades that crackled with Blue Plasma to wrist-mounted drones and rockets.
She told him that the most important weapon was their morphing blade. At first, it looked like a hilt without a blade, but its morphing steel was capable of flowing from inside the hilt to become a formidable sword.
"But remember Kay," Mei emphasized, her voice carrying a weight of responsibility, "the Dust Knights' strength lies not only in their armaments. The Code of Honor says 'A sword doesn't make you a knight, and a crown doesn't make you a king' Our actions must always reflect our commitment to a better world."
Kay nodded, the weight of Mei's words sinking deep within him.
"Our actions must always reflect our commitment to a better world. Remember that"
As their training continued, Mei kept teaching Kay with motivation. She always seemed to be happy, trying to lift everyone's mood with her bubbly personality. That paired with her keen insight into advanced technology and ample knowledge, she was the best engineer who aided the Dust Knights.

Before she could teach him the different canisters for Blue Plasma the crackle of a radio startled them, with the grave voice of a man speaking.
"Mei?"
She moved close to the radio and pressed a button.
"Yes! I'm here"
"Come down with me. We need your help"
"Oki-Doki"
Mei moved away from the radio and looked at the young Kay.
"We will continue tomorrow. I will teach you about the different kinds of Blue Plasma canisters," Mei looked at Kay's bandaged arm "How is your arm?"
Kay nodded to Mei, trying to downplay the pain that his arm was in.
"It hurts sometimes," he admitted, "The rashes are not that severe. They are annoying, but I can deal with them."
Mei smiled sadly before walking to the door. She opened it and let the air sweep in.
"Also, I don't want to skip any class"
"I know they hurt, Kay," she said, giving him a reassuring smile. "We will continue tomorrow. Don't forget to take your L-Blockers and rest"
"What about continuing the lesson when you finish?"
"If the Withering makes you lose an arm, you won't be able to help anyone. Rest and we will begin again tomorrow"
Kay stared at the ground, a deep sense of hopelessness in his eyes.
"I just wish there was something I could do to help. My brother went into a coma again— for the fifth time this month."
Mei reached out and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"That's why we need to support the Knights. We have faith that they will find the Grail, and with it a cure for our people. But, even then," she sighed, "I'll make sure your family has enough credits to pay for the L-Blockers." She gestured towards the exit. "Let's go down— I don't want Sol Aveline getting angry again."
