Chapter 4

With urgency and shaken by panic, the boss shouted orders to his men.

"Retreat! Fall back and regroup!"

The raiders quickly disengaged from their positions, running back to where their vehicles were parked, leaving the father and son behind.

They reached the buggy and motorcycles, but Jano was first. He flew on his motorcycle, quickly distancing himself from them.

"Damn it Jano!" In a desperate attempt to contain their formidable enemy, the boss turned his attention to the mounted machine gun on top of the buggy.

"Move the buggy to the entrance. He has to come from the other side where we came from. We'll turn this into a bottleneck. Give all the power to the machine gun."

"Understood, boss."

The driver went inside the buggy, diverting the power of the buggy to the main gun. The man's confidence strengthened his followers. Yet, they could hear the strange noise of the Steelfire, the Hi-Tech motorcycles that the Dust Knights had.

The other waited behind the buggy, hoping their boss could at least deter the knight from continuing to chase them. The Steelfire was a massive motorcycle equipped with all kinds of tools for protection and weapons for attack.

Riding the Steelfire, a large figure dressed in white and advanced armor made their hearts stop. When the boss saw the Steelfire, a burst of bullets erupted from the machine gun.

The metal ammunition couldn't penetrate the magnetic field protecting the Hi-Tech motorcycle of the Dust Knight. Although the barrage of projectiles was deflected without causing damage, he kept firing.

Unperturbed, the Dust Knight on the Steelfire drove forward, his motorcycle gliding effortlessly across the treacherous terrain. Although it had wheels, the Steelfire was capable of hovering. Every turn and twist brought it closer to the retreating raiders, its presence becoming more ominous with each passing moment.

But as he approached the raiders, a sudden obstacle forced the Dust Knight to stop. A treacherous patch of terrain, marked by jagged rocks and deep crevices, hampered his progress, preventing the Knight from moving forward.

With swift and calculated precision, the Dust Knight dismounted his motorcycle, keeping a vigilant eye on the raiders. The tall figure wore armor that seemed too advanced for their enemies.

The Dust Knight and the Steelfire were completely white, with some spots of dirt here and there. He moved cautiously, with his cape billowing in the wind. Seeing an opportunity, the boss took advantage of the moment.

His finger tightened on the trigger of the machine gun as he aimed directly at the vulnerable Dust Knight. A burst of bullets erupted from the weapon, tearing through the air with lethal intent.

The air filled with the staccato rhythm of the gunfire as the boss unleashed a relentless assault. But the Dust Knight, even in the face of danger, showed remarkable agility and endurance.

With the help of a personal magnetic field and incredibly quick reflexes, he dodged the barrage of bullets. His movements, fluid and precise, showed that the armor was not heavy enough to slow him down.

When the machine gun fire ceased, a momentary pause settled over the battlefield. The dust began to settle, revealing the impassive figure of the Dust Knight, unaffected by the boss's relentless assault.

The piercing gaze from the small visor of his helmet fixed on the raiders. Then, it began to glow blue.
