The Manakins and First Floor

The Manakins and First Floor

Before Valoria actually worked on the dungeon's layout, she needed monsters to work with. The Plushies, while different in appearance, all had the same base abilities. A leap, a bash, immunity to blunt damage but weak to fire. Except the dragon, it had an ability called [Fluff Breath] that produced explosive cotton balls, and no fire vulnerability.

Looking at the spiked sheep, Valoria decided to swap out the spikes with pins and needles. Infusing the monster with her idea, she eventually got what she wanted when she looked at the creature.

Race: Voodoo Plush

Level: 1/10

STR: 1 INT: 3

CON: 6 WIS: 3

DEX: 3 LUC: 10 Skills: Bash, Leap, Shared Pain, Plush Body, Child Care, Vengeance! Description: While a weaker fighter than a normal Plush, Voodoo Plushies are harder to kill comparatively due to their increased defences and damage reflection.

Valoria plans to use these with normal Plushies as cannon fodder monsters. The actual defenders of the dungeon have yet to be made.

She gets to work by first making a 5.5 feet tall blank wooden mannequin with a heart-shaped hole in its chest. Then she condenses her limitless Mana into a heart-shaped crystal and imprints it with Emotional Mana, no specific emotion, just Emotional Mana.

She places the heart into its hole and infuses the entirety of the mannequin to give it life. The result...

Name: Manakin

Level: 1/10

STR: 5 INT: 10

CON: 5 WIS: 5

DEX: 10 LUC: 5 Skills: Crystal Brust, Crystal Weapon, Material Body(Wooden), Crystal Heart

Description: A wooden body may be weak to fire, but their hearts are their only true weak point.

The Manakin's heart turned magenta as it spread crystals from itself to cover the arms, legs and face of the creature. The blank head gained a mask with only two eye holes, other than this no other changes.

The creature's abilities were shaping and controlling the crystals it makes, [Material Body(Wooden) simply made Life and Death magic ineffective while Fire was. Valoria briefly thought of changing the body's material, but then decided to only do so for elite units and Bosses.

'Hmm...', Valoria thought as she created a new Manakin, but made the Emotional Mana tint grey with nervousness. The resulting Manakin was nearly twice as fast, hyper resistant, and had an ability to slightly shape nearby darkness. However, it couldn't move unless it was unseen by biological eyes.

She decided that this was enough to start her dungeon's first floor. She first created a room the same size as her Core room and molded a slight hill at the center, she'll get back to this boss room later. For now, she made something representing a bit of her past, the workshop that her grandfather use to run. Valoria had fun recreating all the main parts of the workshop and mixing in some factory-like construction as well.

The labyrinthine factory filled with machinery puzzles that opened new paths while blocking others, conveyer belts that brought small amounts of constant Plushies to fight, it even had a Build-a-Plush machine that made a companion Plush for those who used it once per Delve! Valoria honestly is having to much fun designing the place.

After placing the mobs and making sure they respawned after all inside the dungeon died or gone, she got to work on her first Boss.
