Valoria thought of making some poker card based enemies, but after she couldn't get any ideas with them alone, decided to combine them with some chess stuff too.
Valoria first needed to dictate what materials the poker-chess monsters would be made of. Corresponding with the types of spade, heart, club, and diamond cards, they shall be made of Starnull (black, sparkling metal that makes magic cast near it unstable), Adamantium (reddish pink metal, self-repairing and Life aligned), Celestial Copper (lime green metal that's hyper magical, can touch the non-physical), and Hypquantonium (luminescent blue metal that gets exponentially harder near Mana and/or magical phenomena).
After making a batch of each material, and the white, kinetic energy absorbing metal she had as armor (AN: Lets call the metal Valerium for now ;P), she got to shaping each different type of piece.
First was the Pawns. She made them little buggers at only 3 feet tall. Armored in their respective metals with their hallow bodies filled with different Emotional Mana types and covered in their different symbols.
Race: (Any) Pawn
Level: 1/25
STR: 10 INT: 10
CON: 15WIS: 5
DEX: 15 LUC: 10 Skills: Teamwork, Honorable, (Weapon) User, For The King!
Description: They may be tiny, but they got the spirit!
The only difference between them was the Emotion they were fueled by and their weapon mastery. Spades used spears, hearts used swords, clubs used hammers, and diamonds used shields. The white Pawns used sickles and had +5 in all stats compared to the others.
Next were the knights, which Valoria made in the shape of different kinds of centaurs.
Race: (Any) Knight
Level: 1/25

STR: 25 INT: 15
CON: 25 WIS: 7
DEX: 40 LUC: 5
Skills: Teamwork, (Weapon) User, Trample, Charge!, Emotional Empowerment, For The King!
Description: Warriors and rides all in one! But don't test their patience.
Spades had a normal centaur look, if they were made of armor and Mana. The Heart Knights had deer like forms, the Club Knights had bull like forms, while the diamonds had sheep like forms. The White Knights however had their humanoid upper halves coming out of the head of a giant armored spider.
The Knights shared their weapons with they're respective Pawns, just longer. Except the White Knights, they carried war scythes instead.
Next were the Rooks, she decided to make them hulking, 6 foot tall humanoids with no head. Instead they will leak their emotional Mana out of their tops as mist.
Race: (Any) Rook
Level: 1/25
STR: 35 INT: 15
CON: 60 WIS: 15
DEX: 20 LUC: 10 Skills: Teamwork, (Dual Weapon) User, Emotional Mist, Guardian, For The King!
Description: Bulwarks for their allies, an annoyance for all others.
The Rooks held two of their types of preferred weapon, with White Rooks having two hooks on chains instead.
The Bishops were going to be casters, with magical staffs that could double as their preferred weapon. They would mostly bolster and heal their allies.
Then came the Queens. Valoria planed to make each one somewhat unique as roaming Bosses on the third floor. All would have four arms but that would be the only similarity they share. The four kings would be the bosses of the floor, and would be each similarly unique. When engaged, Valoria made it so that any living members of that Kings pieces would appear around to protect them and they would be able to summon more if kept alive for to long.
As Valoria finished up the details of her 3rd Floors foes, she couldn't wait to see who would be the unlucky soul to live to see that!

POV: ???, In the Fae Wilds
In a realm where the laws of physics are mere suggestions and the rule of one only mattered, in a castle that warped into itself like a mobius strip, that ruler finally noticed something off.
"You felt that too, didn't you Shade?", a voice sounding of a professional choir In beauty asked as its owner, an 8 foot tall elven looking woman with moth-like wings and eyes. Her figure looked to be the magnum opus of an artist's career, with eyes glowing a pinkish hue.
"Yes, my Queen.", stated the shadows around the woman reverently, "do you wish for me to send someone to the newborn dungeon?"
"Yes, also we're friends Shade. You've earned the right to use my name.", complained the regal Fae.
"As you wish, Queen Titania."
