big problems require a [summoned hero]'s solutions

He was falling.

He looked behind him to see how far he was falling, and he couldn't see the bottom.

was he going to die right after being summoned?

He felt powerless. He tried to search his memories to find something to help, coming up empty.

Then he remembered something. the panel that had appeared in his vision. It felt supernatural, and a supernatural solution was exactly what he needed.

He focused on the panel closing his eyes, and right as he was about to give up, something popped in his mind.

His eyes locked onto the skill almost instantly, or his mind focused on it. He felt like it could save him.

He looked behind himself, the ground in sight. He steeled his resolve and focused on activating the skill.

[would you like to activate skill Hero's Holy Shield (one time)?]

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

he said yes almost immediately, feeling a sensation close to plastic wrap close around him.

for a few seconds he braced for the hit, but when it came he didn't feel anything. He just sat laying there for a few minutes until a system notification pulled him out of his trance.

[the effect of Hero's Holy Shield (one time) has worn off.]

He sat up and took a few shaky breaths, he was alive, and now at the bottom of a really deep canyon.

He looked around, noting that the walls were an ash orange color.

He stood up, and decided to explore the place, walking in the seemingly endless canyon.

----------------------------------------

about 25 minutes into his walk around the canyon he noticed movement.

He noticed 5 greenish dog type animals, sitting in the middle of the area, with a similarly greenish crystal floating behind them

He stepped over, intending to get a closer look at the dogs before one jumped out at him, slashing at his eyes.

Completely unprepared for this attack, he gets slashed, before stumbling back, disoriented.

After a few moments of processing he finally feels the waves of pain, and he falls to the ground in pain, letting out ragged screams through his increasingly dry throat.

The dog once again jumps on his body, aiming for his throat with a deadly paw, clearly intending to end the fight.

Mustering a sudden burst of strength he grabs the dog's paw and slams it to the side and then getting on top of it, pinning it to the ground with his legs.

He stares at it for a few seconds as his adrenaline starts to fade with gritted teeth. His mind was spinning with blood loss and confusion as he stared at the apparent non earth animal

As he does so the dog bites his wrist, giving him a stark reminder this isn't Childs play, this is a fight to the death. His vision blurred as he yanked his wrist out of the monsters maw, with it taking a chunk of flesh.

As he stares at the dog it gulp's down his flesh with a sickeningly disgusting SCLURP , licking its bloody mouth with content as it stares at him.

He couldn't make this out as reality, his brain rejected the concept- the pain. But there was a oh so haunting clarity that made him sure this was real. He couldn't decide if he would die her, or if he was even the one to chose.

His thoughts spiraled until once again the wolf dashed at him, again for a lethal attack. This time he could only redirect the attack, the wolfs jaw nicking his shoulder.

He turned around, only to see it licking its paws. He suddenly realized it considered him easy prey, How could it not? But he needed this chance, this was most likely his one and only chance to attack this thing, with the chance he gave away before.

He steeled his resolve, his legs still shaking, and dashed.

the monster turned around just as he hit it. He pinned it down and started hitting it, he could feel something biting him However the adrenaline made him ignore it.

The next moment his arm was limp, but he couldn't use his other arm or the monster would be free, so without thinking he-

you have gained the bite skill.

you have defeated a level 1 zombie wolf

he collapsed onto the monsters fur, dying it red as he struggled to stay conscious, barley seeing something in his vision as he fell to the urge to sleep as he hoped it wouldn't be his last,
