We are taken to sperate cave sections clearly having been carved out like a room I am brought too a separate one then the rest of my companions as too stay with them while being betrothed to the current king would be seen as a sign of disloyalty too my future husband. It has a soft white fur blanket thrown on the carved out stone bad along with a small fire place the connects outside of the chamber releasing the smoke into other places, clearly this room was prepared for me before hand as the rooms I saw for the others had neither of these things in it.

I sit my little luggage down beside the bed and make sure the leather hanging down acting as a door is completely blocking any view one may get, I sit on the bed and the fur is soft with none of the scratchiness one would expect from pelts.

It has been a long journey with many people whining and complaining the whole way plus the unexpected situation of meeting Wyatt here and being engaged to him, I am tired from all the thinking an peace keeping I have needed too do but it appears I will not get to rest quiet yet as Wyatt comes into the room I have been assigned and uses some energy to silence the surroundings.

Compared too Wyatt's I have a much easier task but that is expected as Wyatt was the leader of our colony so the tower views him as having accomplished harder task and therefore needs to even out by being given harsher task then other climbers.

"You know I lack in certain areas and it is because of this when an offer came for an alliance I took it but I had originally intended to have my brother take the marriage only to sense you when you came in, all my plans changed when I saw the chance too pull you too my side." I see so it was not originally supposed to go this way but Wyatt saw the opportunity and took it.

I can't blame him as I am used too setting up colonies in harsh environments and Wyatt probably wants too make use of my skills so as too speed up the process as although the northern lands are now much better off then before there is still a lot too be done.

Looks like even once my task is finished I will be sticking around too help Wyatt out for his task.

Sighing with a slight headache at all these politics despite their empire being near collapse and there people suffering they would rather sabotage themselves then see another gain more power then them.

I wonder how they will react when those using the world's energy fully show there power and capabilities.

None the less If things continue like this in the country they will internally collapse long before any of the other countries or the monsters have a chance as if not for the southern kingdom providing aide too those in need the peasants they look down upon may have already fought back due to them not protecting them as expected or if not fought back then refused too hand over taxes and food so as too spite them that without them they will have no money too run there armies or food too eat.

Of course even without them doing either the nobles are suffering as they lack many of there normal luxuries and their armies are dwindling slowly they are losing there strength and standing and a few lower nobles have even lost everything from this making calling them nobles a laughing thing.

This is the price for there arrogance and as long as they continue too act this way they will ultimately pay the price for it, me and Wyatt talk on the future of the current empire I am at and we both agree it will face destruction even with the alliance with the northerners as although they will give military aid it will still be the country that feeds them and if they ignore farmers needs for too long they will not even have that making it so only them the south will be able too afford their aid.

Truly little can be done too fix a completely broken vase it is easier too replace it altogether.

I head to sleep for the night but instead of leaving as I expected Wyatt says he will remain so as too make it seem like he is very passionate about me and that he couldn't wait, although he is instigating the fact I am him slept together it is better for the alliance if they think Wyatt is infatuated with me and will not risk the alliance.

Although it is a bit cheating we have joined hands too make it so both sides get what they want.

Slowly those form my entourage have stopped bothering to be respectful or show curtesy while those of the north have begun to invite me for drinking and spars which I consistently decline but they keep coming back for, it is clear that those that favor me are those of the north while those that would count as my own people can't even show common curtesy.

By the end of the negotiation it is agreed they will be provided food in proper proportion too the size of garrison sent too aide and failure to provide will see the agreement for that location voided unless interference in transportation is the cause behind the failure.

On our side we give food in equal proportion too aid and also a bonus food once the task is completed for those that aided us to bring home.

The northerners will keep all their kills unless someone buys it off them for a fair price and will treated more like a diplomat instead of a mercenary when it comes to the laws as only they will have the right to punish those they send, equal rights will be given too his people and trade borders will be opened so as too allow both sides to grow and prosper.

In our side they will help kill monsters and rebels along with protecting people and helping where is needed.

Too seal the deal a marriage from the two major sides of the agreement will marry so as to allow proof of both sides sincerity, I Koju will marry the northern chief Egil as an assurance to the alliance.

Once all the talks are over a feast is held and I sit next too Wyatt so as to show a unified agreement for both of us and to give respect to my future husband, laughter and drinking go through the night and in light of the happy environment I agree to a duel with my future husband.

In the north dueling ones betrothed is a sing of respect and to not do so before I leave for the wall would be seen as me not taking the marriage seriously.

Crossing weapons with Wyatt after so long feels liberating and we feel more like a rehearsed choreography then a battle one attacks just as the other pulls back one lunges as the other parries instead of blocking, a show of unintentional compatibility.

Of course Wyatt wins his sword at my throat but he whistles and cat calls make it clear our performance was a hit and would make others more certain of the agreement.

I do not sleep until nearly three O'clock and Wyatt joins me when I retire for the night.

The nest morning we leave returning back to the borders and the outer wall, stopping at the outer wall outpost we report too a military official that the agreement has been reached and that I and a few other will remain here so as to make it easier for the wedding to be held as quickly as possible. Chimon is too busy with all that has occurred to stay and must return to the territory with his guard and before he leaves I tell him of the fact he is on paper my godson and therefore the nephew of the northern chief once we wed so make use of this connection.

No one spread this information as it was seen as a shame for the heirs of the southern throne too have a duel gender as a godfather making it so no one spread allowing the emperor to make this folly.

Even Chimon was not informed of this but is brought too tears when he realizes just how much I have put in too raising them as if they where my own, we hug and stay together for his last day before he departs the next morning his face back into his calm and collected mask and no one none the wiser that me marrying the northern chief is a even bigger backer for the boys then if a half sister had married.

I am sure once they realize they will spit blood but by then it will be too late to undo this and so another backing has been gotten with far more ease then I had initially believed.

The following weak passes in the calmest and easiest manner I have had since I came to this floor not having to watch out for attacks or political sabotage at every corner, I eat, workout, talk with the soldiers, and sleep an easy and much more relaxing situation then in the harem.

I stand with no veil over my face as is considered customary in the marriages in the north as one is supposed to be on equal terms with ones spouse in their region.

I stand beside Wyatt as the prayers and blessings are spoken, as applause and cheers ring out, and as my god son in this word congratulates on a prosperous couple. Finally the sparring has come and the guest will start the sparring off, one after another challenges the ring and some last a few rounds while others lose quickly but once almost all guest have come up it is now our turn and I am handed a dual sided blade with a gray hilt but a crack runs through the blade showing someone is sabotaging the fight.

I look at Aadi's soft face as he finally falls asleep, I admit I took it further then strictly necessary as the man left before I began to touch Aadi's member but if I didn't get him off there is no chance of him sleeping with so much unspent energy from such activities.

I admit to being quiet shocked when I felt Aadi's energy when he entered the cave for the alliance meeting and once I realized he was in the position of Koju it was simply to easy to take my chance, although I intended to wait until they where on the brink of collapse before going and taking over that is no longer viable with Aadi there.

Him being there and supporting the heir of the southern king means that his mission must be to protect the boy and probably see him on the throne so the original plan had to be scrapped, having Aadi confirm it later made it clear it was the correct call.

Getting up after almost three hours I head out to meet up with the secondary chiefs of the north to plan out the next events, I had changed plans quiet drastically but they probably assumed it was a honor thing and assume I only learned of it recently, many times one tribe would intend to ruin another only to be stopped by a strong warrior on the other side showing themselves as female and alliances forming from that.

Walking into the cave section meant for the northerners I can see the smirks as they most likely smell the scent of Aadi's spent from earlier as I didn't bother to clean up properly, ones prowess is a means of showing off after all.

Sitting on the fur rug on the ground while the others stood I start to speak, "I was given a letter by the emperor's aid about his dual gender status on the day of the alliance meeting so telling of the change before wasn't viable, however he is the number one reason in the past the borders where impossible to take, only when he left did we begin to gain proper footing in the war. His worth along with the ones backing him makes gaining him in exchange for pushing back our plans worth it."

I can see the others nod in agreement as truly the original Koju was quiet fierce but also highly strategic making him a hard opponent for the former northern chieftain, gaining him is a boon even if Aadi isn't in him. Though I would marry him to another chief in order to gain that chief loyalty by giving him a good wife.

I lean back and think of the next moves we have planned now that the alliance is set, we need to make them dependent on us and us less so on them so finding alternative food source is vital but still keep their food source important so as not to ruin Aadi's task.

The tower had to have set us so close together on purpose as we are the biggest competition either could get, add on our near opposing task that will take a lot of work to have both be viable and it is clear the tower set us up to compete against each other despite being from the same planet.

Of course we could procrastinate until Chimon is proclaimed heir but it would defeat the purpose of us being put close together, the tower didn't just want us to compete it wants to see if even with split goals and slightly differing goals can we compromise.

Aadi doesn't originate from our planet and if at any point Aadi's home planet is found the tower is seeing if a viable in-between for our goals can be met, or will it tear us apart.

I sigh as this is clearly overly pointed assignment but it is what it is all me and Aadi can do is find the middle grounds where both sides prosper, I begin to discuss what we will do in the future.

"Koju is the godfather to the heirs of the southern king so taking over the land of my god children leaves a wrong taste, instead we will leave him as ruler there. He is a good ruler as has been proven with this invasion along with knowing the lands and having his peoples loyalty, if he willing bows down to us instead of the emperor the citizens may be more willing to view our rule as valid as the one noble they respect, respects me." It would validate our take over and make it harder for the other kingdoms to argue we are simply greedy as the most prosperous lands in the stellar kingdom will remain in the originals hands.

It will be tricky and a massive political nightmare but once done it will bring stability to us far faster then if he simply executed and took land from all the nobles in the stellar kingdom, of course it also means letting and outsider have large say over a major food supply something many will disagree with.

I can see some who agree with this and the more greedy ones that dislike the mere concept of giving up such land to and outsider, but ultimately it will make the take over smoother in the political field.

An agreement that once the other side except the south fails to provide and uphold their ends of the agreement we will begin the assault, all this alliance will do is push our invasion back a bit as we are certain with the corruption of those nobles they won't be able to properly feed them with how much of the resources meant for them from the south will be embezzled and once that happens we have viable reason to back out.

It will even provide a good reason for a war as we attempted peace and aid during these hard times and they couldn't even be bothered to properly feed the help we sent and it led to casualties, we will demand reparations and when all but the south refuses we have viable reason for war as to be repaid for the damage and lack of respect shown for help given.

It makes us out as wounded hero's who just wanted to help and them ungrateful swine's that couldn't even spare the food they had almost in abundance thanks to the souths smart and quick action, and if we spare the south who do uphold the agreement and showed respect then it will seem less like greed and more like true aggrievance due to mistreatment, other kingdoms will have to back off from accusing us of breaking the agreement.

I return to the room marriage chambers to enjoy the view of Aadi sleeping while nude under the fur blanket, truly I should be commended for my self control despite such a tempting sight being right before me.

I lay down next to Aadi not even bothering with a blanket as neither heat or cold really bother me, putting my arms over Aadi, I fall asleep holding him in my arms.
