Purple Particles: Ch 1

Purple Particles: Ch 1

I thought dying would be painful, and it was, it was so painful, I lost my emotions, like something had broke, within me, and then, the pain melted away as the fire burned my nerves, after that, nothing. The pain was gone, but so was everything else, my eyes, my ears, my tongue, which I bit off out of pain. The only thing that has not gone, was smell, I could still meat cooking, until that smell too disappeared. It was like I was left in an abyss, void, nothingness.

Soon that nothingness changed. There was light. I looked away to stop my eyes from stinging. Eyes.

'How do I have eyes, I know they were gone, melted. I felt and saw them melt. So how do I have eyes did a doctor implant me with new eyes as some experiment or is this what a brain in a jar does when still technically alive, hallucinate.

I look back at the light noticing it had expanded and changed. What used to be a tear of light, now is the shape of a door and the once white colour has changed to blue, which surprisingly mixes quite well with a background of nothingness.

I stare and watch the light door to see what else it would do, but after what felt like years, The door has not changed, though I have noticed a faint hue around the door, making fit the background more, becoming even more beautiful.

I could have stayed, waiting to see if the door would change, but not wanting to stare at a door till the end of time, I float towards it, floating felt weird, like flying on the edge of a black hole, type weird. It was like someone tied a rope around me, and was pulling. when I first noticed I could move, I was lapping around the door, while I getting used to the feeling. When floating around, the door did not change, move or in any way do something when I flew around, it just sat there.

Going toward the door, I reach out to where I expect the handle to be, instead, I touch the door, no handle. The blue light brightens, getting so bright that I think I had lost my eyes again, instead the light soon after dies down, all the way until it was completely gone, leaving a single box, that when looked away from, it followed my vision.

[Hello, new user!]

[Congratulations on your reincarnation!]

[As the rules dictate, we have spun the wheel of fate]

[And you have landed on Dungeon Core as you next life!]

[Dungeons are a race of half gods which can never become true gods, but posses the abilities of true gods and instead of using faith as power you use mana. Dungeons can be seen as better than a god or worse than a god. even we cannot say if it is better as it always depends on the dungeon itself.]

'Hmm so I am a dungeon core, I know enough about web novels to know what a dungeon is, I was an avid reader of such stories, I liked them. Considering countless reincarnation stories, I could have been in a much worse situation. Hitting dungeon on this wheel of fate thing is probably one of the many jackpots, with the guide, without them this one would be much worse.'

'So a new name... lets just go with Skoldmyrr or skol. I got the name from the 2 words Skoldra, and Myrkuro from some old Norse, or something. I combined Skoldra meaning shield, and Myrkuro meaning darkness, not that I am going with shield and darkness stuff for my dungeon. I just liked the 2 words, and combined them.'

Honestly if I had what I used to, I would probably be swayed by my memories of family, friends, and my dog, Leila. I would have had a

lot of thoughts going back and fourth. Luckily, what I used to have, my emotions. melted in that fire with me, or maybe I am a just brain in a jar, or in a similar situation.

Thus, it did not take long for Skol to proceed, ignoring his memories. his past. Everything that made him who he was.

"Skoldmyrr" Skol finally said.

When I had finished reading, I got a sudden jolt of shock, not the painful type that stories usually have, but more like I had remembered something I had forgotten. it was soothing, like a calm stream flowing through a vibrant forest. When the feeling passed, I noticed that I had memories that I never had before. The memories were each a series of flashes, like short form videos.

[Please have a great life. Don't die to quickly, it would cause issues if you were small part dungeon, big part human spiritually!]

[Stay Alive for... 167 years to offset human soul dominance.]

"Human soul dominance, small part dungeon?" I asked but received no answer. A sudden materialisation of a portal pulled me in before I could ask again.

...

Exiting the portal, the first thing I see, is I am in the same place, the nothingness, though, maybe it was a different part of the nothing, it's not like I would be able to tell, as the door, that used to be my only landmark. Is now gone.

Suddenly, after a quick look around. I felt like I had been tied, bound and anchored, all at the same time. I felt dizzy at the feeling, but then, the dizziness and anchoring faded, like it had never been there.

I look back around and still see nothing, including myself this time. I know something happened, I had been put into the heart/core of the dungeon, or made into the dungeon heart/core.

I suddenly notice a memory that has started giving off a feeling, an almost alluring feeling, urging me to recount it?, I do not resist, which I could have easily. The first thing I see is nothing then as if from nowhere a blue light appears, and is perfectly circular, starts slowly growing over time until the blue light, which now looks like a massive sphere, touches the ground. I know it is the ground, just as I know what the texture of as cactus feels like, without ever licking, touching, or eating one.

The ground was rugged, like gravel, but more solid. If you were to walk on it barefoot, it would be painful, with countless scratches and cuts.

it was some type of stony ground, maybe a cave, mountain, or some other type of place that has a stone ground like this.

Just then, the sphere which was still growing, touched a wall, and celling, at the same time, meaning, they were of equal distance from the centre of the sphere.

The wall was more smooth with bumps and the occasional sharp rock sticking out, and the celling was smooth with the same type of sharp rocks poking out, this time facing directly down, if someone hits their head on these, they would need serious help.

The memory then cuts off, I reached the end. So if I had to guess what that was, it was either claiming, expanding domain, the way dungeons see things, or both. I just need to figure out how that blue light, which I assume is mana. Is created and expanded, So it is time to deeply analyse the mana first, then do the same for when it expands.

...

After a couple refreshes, I notice tiny, verrry tiny faint blue particles all converging and creating the light I saw, it took a while to figure out as I did not know I could zoom in on memories, I don't think many people knew, or can't, so maybe being a dungeon gives me better memory abilities. Though that leaves me with another question.

'How do I gather the particles?'
