Bonus: mana affinities and tiers: Ch 6

That feels good, Knowing that I no longer have to worry about protection, now that I can make golems, even though this golem is not protecting me, but stopping things from going through the room, so it as a in-direct sort of protection, but protection is still protection, and now that I know how to create minds, I'm sure I can change it a little, not that I will, as it works fine as is.

Now I that I can make golems, I can add some to the second room, and also one to guard me until I finish the floor, at which point I will make it a floor guardian, after all, it is not like I have one of those systems that limit me on how powerful my first floor minions are, but I do have my mana that limits me, but that will disappear after I build enough rooms, floors, and learn a better way to control mana.

"Water For easier and better control of water, conjuring, manipulating and attacking with water is significantly easier, and the more in-tune you are with water, and you might gain abilities such as, knowing if it will rain that day, to, you can pull water out from any source that contains water, assuming you are powerful enough."

"Fire for, again, easier and better control of fire, conjuring, manipulating- I will just move on to the abilities you could manifest as the first part applies to every affinity. The more in-tune you are with fire, could gain abilities such as, knowing when a fire is going within a certain radius, near you, to, Fire breathing, you can breath in fire, store it and increase the power of you flame magic over time, this is why most flame mages live near volcanos, and flame dragons, making a deal with the dragon, allowing them to stay."

"Earth, the more in-tune you are with it, you may gain abilities like, being able to sense the ground around, and under you, useful for miners. To abilities like, being able to form minerals, albeit with a lot of mana, concentration and effort, most don't do anything over iron due to the difficulty, but there are always exceptions."

"Now for air. With this element you may gain abilities like, being able to cleanse the air in your lungs, effectively making it so you no longer need to breath, or to clear out poisons, and such, in the air around you. To abilities like, Being able to summon a tornado, I know this one is not all that powerful, but wind magic is not an offensive magic, or at least as offensive as others, but what is sacrifices in offensiveness, it gains in versatility, wind mages can survive in any environment, provided then have enough mana."

"Any questions?"

"No? Alright then we can move on then to mana tiers."

"So first things first, there are 10 tiers of mana, and the tenth tier is the purest mana can be, and I know all these preachers and churches say that gods do not use mana and instead have divinity, but that is wrong, what they call divinity is just a highly purified form of mana, and most typically 1 type of highly purified mana, like the elements I just talked about."

"So the 10th Tier is the realm of the gods. the 9th is for dungeons, and a little fun fact, dungeons have mana just as pure as the gods, but they have a weakness, they cannot use their mana on sentient races, at least not under normal circumstances, that is the only reason dungeons are put in 9th tier, as well as being the only reason why we don't have just 9 tiers of magic."

"Anyways now onto the 8th Tier, this is typically the domain of dragons, heroes, and demon kings, this is also the highest a human has reached, but that way many, many thousands of years ago, we don't even have records how long ago exactly, we only know what I have told you."

"Now onto the 7th Tier, This is the tier non-heroes have made it to, along with liches, and a dozen others, this is typically the limit of what any race can reach under normal means, anyways I could keep going down the list more and more, but you have those books for a reason, you can study the rest later."

"Now onto what the specific effects these tiers do, each tier increases your connection to mana, at first, at tier 1, mana will be resistant, sluggish and wild, as mana itself is wild, and the higher up in tiers you go the less resistant and sluggish mana becomes, and the more in-tune you become to the wild nature of mana, anyone who has tried to remove the wildness of mana, has faced quick and painful ends, like blowing up, melting, and endlessly floating, flying past the clouds, and these are just a few of the many different ends."

"One last thing before you get to reading those books, For those of you planning to become delvers, which I know a few of you are. Dungeons are not restricted by any of these problems, they have absolute control of their mana, they control every element within them to perfection, things like affinities do not apply to them.

"yes, people have tried to study dungeons to figure out how their mana is not wild, but all who have, lose their minds, talking about miniature worlds, reality, and countless other types of nonsense, in most cases they end up destroying their own souls, and people have tried to verify what they say, but all of it is nonsense.

"What this process is called is Dungeon Contamination, where the person loses their mind more and more, until they eventually lose themselves forever, so if you ever think you are special or in some way unique, and believe you can discover the secret to the 9th tier, I assure you, you cannot, even the last hero, who we still have a few records of, tried to reach 9th tier by studying dungeons.
