After buying some warm stew, the lady behind the teller told us that they often have cooks make whole pots of it up in their room and then come down here and sell them in portions on the market for some extra cash.
We made our way to the table, I noticed that Moira didn't get any food. After a quick offer to buy her some if she didn't have any money I found out that she didn't need to eat and could be sustained mostly by my magic.
“I still get any buffs from food, so once we do have some more money I wouldn't mind eating, but for now, save your cash.” She said.
So we sat down at the table and started a discussion of our plans while we ate.
“It won't be until level 25 that I would have to move out into my own house or keep, so any suggestions on what to do for the next few days to make some money?” Looking around the table.
Grim replied “Well as probably the only one here with any sort of profession I say we look for quests to go out hunting. That way I can use my butchering and skinning. We can probably hold off on getting bags of holding if we use your skeletons to carry stuff for us.”
That's a good idea and we started looking for some nice easy hunting quests, finding that probably our best bet was some of the bounty quests that would bring in money per kill. Apparently, there were bounties on anything from bunnies in the fields to dire-wolves in the woods outside town. As dire-wolves would probably be a bit much at the moment we decided to focus on bunnies and whatever else we could find in the fields to the north of town.
After finishing up our food we made our way back up to the rooms, it was a long day so we were both tired. Moira seemed to still be full of energy. Seeing that I noticed that. “Valkyries hardly need any sleep. Which works really well combined with me leading your undead troops.” She said.
“I guess that makes sense.” And I entered my room. As I had forgotten that I had started the summoning I jumped out of my skin and screamed like a little girl when I saw the 2 skeletons that were summoned so far. They looked to be human, had on a leather breastplate and helmet, and were armed with a short spear.
Looking behind me I saw Moira trying to keep a straight face and Grim rolling on the floor with laughter. Turning back I could swear that even the skeletons were laughing at me, but as soon as I fully turned around they stood at attention and slapped their fist to their leather breastplate in a salute. Looking around the room I saw that there was now a new door off to the side.
Moira rushed over having a feeling that it was probably her room. After opening it she found a small hallway with two doors. One appeared to lead to a small barracks and training room and the skeletons moved past and took up station there. The other side was Moira’s room with a small bed on the side but a big desk with a leather-backed chair behind it taking up most of the space in the room.
Moira immediately sat down in the chair behind the desk “Ahh good, I can use this space as my office to handle all the paperwork and logistics for your army. I suggest that for now, you move the summoning and rally points of the skeletons to the barracks room, and then we should get some sleep.”
“Good idea I’ll leave you to it then.” I went over to the other room to explore what was in the barracks. After going through the door I saw a long rectangular room of grey stone. On the left side of the room were small horizontal alcoves like you would see in a burial chamber. By this time the third skeleton had shown up and three of the alcoves now had a skeleton resting in them. On the right side, I could see a couple of training dummies spaced out with weapon racks in between. For now, only one weapon rack was in use holding 3 spears.

Thinking to myself not a good idea to wake the dead I changed the summon and rally point to the barracks room and closed the door again. I noticed the door now had a small plaque on it saying Moira’s chosen. The opposite door now also sported a plaque just stating Moira’s office.
After that, I made my way back to my own bedroom. Sitting on the bed I decided to have another look at my character sheet before bed.

Noticing that I had a path point left I was debating what to spend it on. Revenant abilities although sounding cool would probably put attention to the fact that I was half-vampire. I didn't have space for a new unit so zombies would have to wait. As Moira advised me not to pick up heavy armor I decided to go with the weaponry path and clicked on it.
Nice, this would really help in combat. Speaking of which first thing tomorrow need to do a little bit of shopping to get some basic gear. Just as I was about to go to bed I heard a knock on my door.
When I opened it Grim was standing there with a pillow and a blanket. “Move over, can't fall asleep without your snores serenading me to sleep” and with that, he pushed me aside and set up his pillow and blankets on the floor next to my bed, and laid down.
“Ahh miss me already big guy, I would have thought you would have been sick of sharing a room with me after ten years,” I said hopping into my own bed.
“It's just going to be weird you know” I nodded as he began, staring up at the ceiling.
“Yeah I know exactly what you mean, well for now you are free to use the floor there as long as you like.” Before I was done with that sentence I was already hearing snoring on the floor beside me. And with that, I turned onto my side and went to sleep myself.
The next morning we were both woken up by Moira. She had turned into her Valkyrie form and shouted “RISE AND SHINE.” Loud enough for the bed to shake.
Muttering a few curses under our breaths we got up and ready for the day. I gave Moira command of the skeletons which were now fully summoned.
I told them both about my weapon-master ability and decided as we were hunting that it might be a good idea to pick up a ranged weapon. Going with my elven part of my heritage I decided the simple longbow would be the best.
“Let's pick up supplies for today, I think we should get a few packs that would fit the skeletons. Also maybe some basic butchering and skinning tools for you Grim. And of course some weapons. I will probably have enough for a basic sword and a longbow. As we are hunting bunnies and we have the skeletons I don't think that picking up armor is necessary.” As the rest agreed with me we got some breakfast and then split up to get the shopping done, meeting up at the north gate an hour later.
Moira was able to pick up enough backpacks to outfit each of the skeletons with one of them filled with the tools Grim would need. Grim had picked up two huge cleavers for his weapons. Both looked like butcher cleavers but about 2ft in length. He also got some sheaths to strap them to his back.
I had been able to pick up just a basic bastard sword thinking I could use it both one and two-handed when needed. I also picked up a basic sheath and a sword belt to hang it off. I used the last bit of coin that I had to pick up a fine longbow and 100 arrows to go with it.
Taking a quick look at my weapons after equipping them.
And with that, we set out for the great bunny hunt.
