~Gorus~
~Vlad PoV~
Three days passed by as we made our way to Gorus.
After we headed out and moved for while we decided not use our swords to fly as that might attract the attention of some hidden experts, we didn't know if there were anyone else in the woods but thought it was better to be safe than sorry.
We could have used our energy to scout our surroundings as that will definitely attract anyone in the emperor rank who was nearby.
This is also why we have taken three days to arrive here.
A smile could be seen as castles from the country of Gorus came into sight, I looked at Floyd who was next to me "It's been over 200 already, what do you miss about being out into the real world?" I asked him and he thought for a while "The food." He replied and I nodded in agreement.
Indeed, after being in a cave for 240 years without any food someone would miss having food, it would indeed be very strange if you didn't crave for food in that time period.
I am glad that I could live for so long without any food, if I wasn't at the king rank I would have died without a doubt.
The reason why I was able to go on without any food for long is because the sword energy was constantly refreshing my cells and giving it the nutritious it needed to go on.
I looked the huge gate and wall that appeared in front of us as we came closer. I frowned as I saw the guards in the front that were inspecting the people who were entering.
Both I and Floyd stopped in our tracks and looked at the gate. "It seems like they are looking for someone," Floyd said as he looked in front of us.
"Are they maybe looking for us?" I asked him and he frowned "I am not sure, but the possibility is there."
"Excuse me?" I said as I touched the man who was just walking by us, he looked at me "What is it?" He said and I smiled at him "Do you know why the guards are checking people over there?" I Asked him and the man looked at me confused "Are you perhaps new here?"
"That's right me and my friend are just travelers."
"The guards are looking for someone who has offended the matriarch of this region." The man said and both me and Floyd raised an eyebrow in surprise 'They are not looking for us?' we thought in our hearts "Thank you for telling me." I said to the old man and he made his way to the guards and I looked at Floyd.

"It seems that they are not looking for us, but just in case let's just get inside the city first, there is no reason to even meet the guards in the first place." I Informed Floyd who also nodded in agreement.
We both took out our swords and fused them with our energy's making our swords shine with different colours, my sword gave off a black aura while Floyd's sword gave off a blue aura.
We stepped on our swords.
~Whoosh!
~Whoosh!
We moved so fast that no one noticed us passing through the gate, the guards were only at the mortal rank so there was no way for them to notice at all so we got into the city undetected.
Once in the city we put our swords away and surveyed our surroundings, once we were sure that no one noticed our arrival did we let out a breath of relief. A bright smile could be seen on my face as he looked the inn in front of us.
"You're no longer a weakling you're now an expert so pull yourself together." Floyd said as he looked at the inn in front of us, I studied him for a while before I said: "At least I am not drooling." with a sarcastic tone which made him put his hand in front of his mouth and check if it was true.
I moved towards the inn and after realising I was just joking around did Floyd let out a sigh of relief and followed me towards the inn.
From the outside, it looks enchanting, modest and beautiful. Softwood and thick, stone beams make up most of the building's outer structure.
It's impossible to see through the small, curtained windows, but the enthusiastic noises from within can be felt outside.
As you enter the inn through the old, hard wooden door, you're welcomed by joyful music and a sense of home.
The bartender is engaged in a conversation but still manages to welcome you with a friendly nod.
It's as lovely inside as it is on the outside. Squared, wooden beams support the upper floor and the sconces attached to them. The walls are completely empty, besides the lighting, most likely because customers stumble against the walls too often and would knock off anything on the walls.
The tavern itself is packed. Travellers seem to be the primary clientele here, which often indicates great food. Several long tables are occupied by, what seems to be one large group of people. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who clearly enjoy each other's company.
