Volume 2 Chapter 3 - Mysterious Fragment

Hey guys, I am sorry for the wait but I don't have as much time as before due to various reason. However, I am not as busy as before though I still am.

In short, I'll try to release a few chapter here and there when I can, but as I said previously in the 'Announcement' I will principaly focus on Elskria Online which will 'I HOPE' come out this week.

The quality of my chapters may have also dropped quite a bit since I didn't write for almost 2 months, so I'll need a certain time of readaptation.

PS: It's short for now but I'll try to make the nexts ones longer, I promise!

Anyway, I am back and hope I will stay! Enjoy !

“L-L-LORD GEIDAS?! Awawawawa… It’s an honor to meet you, milord, my name is Kira.” Kira introduced herself in a panic, however, her words were completely ignored.

Thera’s brow slightly frowned, not able to hide her feeling as she discovered the identity of the man, it was the man who summoned them all, the man who forcefully brought them into this world.

Shina, on the other hand, kept a poker face as she and Geidas looked at each others for a few moments.

“Is there a problem Geidas?” Kurona asked as she noticed the normally cold Geidas acting strangely.

Geidas quickly dismissed his stare when he heard her words. “No, this is nothing.”

“I shall take my leave now.” He said, looking a last time at Shina as a door opened behind him.

“Is that so? Too bad, it’s been awhile since I last saw you.” She replied with a hint of sadness.

The corner of Geidas’s mouth slightly raised from her words. “I’ll come back soon. As for you Kira, takes care to them. ” He said before leaving.

“Y-YES SIR!” She replied with a wide smile.

Even after Geidas left, Shina felt many stares on her back. It was obvious that for some reason she caught his attention.

“Huhuhu~” It was obvious for everyone, at the exception of Kira who was grinning like an idiot...

“So you are the ones summoned by Saviors? That’s good.”

“For what reason were we brought here?” Irsteal asked.

“They didn’t tell you? You are here to receive a fragment of Estium.”

Apart from Kii who had interrogation mark above her head, everyone’s eyes became serious as they heard ‘Estium’. Kayan said that her mind reading ability came from her ‘Estium’. In short, they were here to receive a power.

“What we call ‘Estium’ is a crystallization of this world’s will. By fusing it with one’s soul, people are able to use strengthened by their feelings and will. The will to protect someone, to kill someone, to fight… People are able to use transform those feelings in power. The stronger the will, the stronger one’s power will be.”

“Wait a second, if a power like that exists, then it would completely change the world’s order! If someone’s feelings are strong enough, then even a child would be able to kill a god!” Thera yelled.

“That’s right, even a child can kill a god. However, that is if the child doesn’t die before using this power. A strong power needs a strong recipient, this is also why high-rank people are important for guilds.” Kurona quickly explained.

“Indeed… You can give a powerful weapon to a kid but if he doesn’t have the strength to use it he’ll just hurt himself.” Kazam reflected on her words.

Kurona waved her hands and suddenly eight floating doors appeared behind her. “Behind those doors you’ll find a fragment, the power you’ll acquire will be unique as it reflects oneself.”

The eight doors suddenly opened at the same time, showing only pure darkness inside. Everyone was a little hesitant to enter, but they quickly threw aside their hesitation; with Kurona’s power, if she wanted to harm them then she wouldn’t need to make a trap.

Everyone, including Nuya, entered a door alone. After Shina entered the door, she instantly arrived in a small room with a small pedestal at the center. On this pedestal laid a small indigo crystal.

The more she looked at the crystal, the stranger it felt. It was obvious that the crystal contained magic, but she had a strange impression like it contained something else, yet she wasn’t able to know what.

The more she focused on the crystal, the stranger it became, as she analyzed it, she noticed that a sort of green gas coming out of the crystal. This gas didn’t possess an ounce of magic, but she wasn’t able to manipulate it using wind magic.

After a few minutes of observation, Shina decided to take the crystal in her hand as she couldn’t stay here for hours.

A blinding blue glow emanated from the crystal as it started to float in the airs on its own. The crystal started to madly shake in the airs. The emanation of green gases became stronger and quickly enveloped the entire room.

At this moment, the crystal suddenly exploded and half of the gas entered Shina’s body.

Shina almost instantly made a shield, protecting herself; but it was too late as a certain amount had actually managed to enter her body.

However, she didn’t felt any different, in fact, she felt a little better. It felt like the gas became a part of her and that it was under her control.

With some hesitation, Shina dropped her barrier and allowed the gas to continue to enter her body.

Soon, half of the gas merged with her. At this point, the rest of the mysterious green gas wasn’t attracted to her anymore but condensed into a 5 feet long shape.

A string of green gas linked the strange shape with Shina’s body. A few seconds after the shape consolidated into a wooden wand.

Grabbing the hand, she felt its weight; it was extremely light and was slightly glowing.

However, an ironic smile appeared on Shina’s face; the wand’s state was deplorable, it was fissured at multiples places, showing its purple inside.

“That wand is as damaged as me.” She mumbled in a helpless low tone.

When the staff consolidated, all the green gas disappeared from the room, making it seem like nothing happened.

Before leaving the room, Shina tried to understand the staff in her hand. As she concentrated on it, she felt that the mana around her was gathering inside.

Noticing this, Shina quickly stopped. The dimension she was in was made of mana, a few holes already formed in the walls around her. If she had continued to gather mana then the whole dimension would have collapsed, making it hard for her to get out without having to consume a large amount of mana.

Fearing that she made the dimension unstable, Shina quickly exited the room, leading her back to Kurona’s room.

“Ah, she’s here! You took a while, Mistress!” Nuya said as she dashed toward Shina.

“Yeah, sorry.” She replied

Looking at Nuya, Shina noticed that small green point glowing from inside her body, in fact not only her but everyone in the room had one. Even Kurona, which was, in fact, bigger than anyone in the room.

“Fine then, will you guys join me for lunch ?” She asked with a small grin.

Hearing the word lunch, Kii’s eyes became bright and Thera tried to show an indifferent face, but a faint smile on the corner of her mouth could be seen.

“As long as there’s some strong alcohol!” Irsteal answered with a friendly smile.

Kazam also showed a little smile. “Hohoho~, I am impatient to try this world’s product.”

“Then it’s settled,” Kurona said.

“IT’S SETTLED MY ASS!” A large shot echoed in the room as a door was sent flying with a kick by a short blue haired boy. “You aren’t thinking of disappearing like the last time and leaving all your work for us, right?...” The boy added as his killing intent formed the illusion of a demon god behind him.

“H-haha… don’t hesitate to visit me if you pass by, I have a lot of time. BYE!” Kurona said before jumping backward in a door she instantly made.

The young blue haired boy showed a gently smiling face as he looked at her disappearing figure… “I’ll definitely kill her when she return.”

“... That girl somehow reminds me of a certain person who would often run away at each occasion…” Luna sympathized with the boy.

“Is that so?... I wonder who you are talking about.” Haha… Sorry Luna.

“Before returning, shall I show you guys the around of the city?” Kira said as she lead the group outside the building.

A few expression became joyful after hearing this, almost everyone in the group had some interest in a few goods they saw earlier in the merchant place.

“Huh, what do we have here?” An arrogant voice could be heard before anyone even said a single word.

“Geeh, they already arrived...” She unintentionally said.

A man walked toward us with more than twenty people behind him, dressed in a massive gray shining armor, he looked like a juggernaut who was missing a helmet, showing his young face. The face of a young adult in his mid-twenties, holding an air of arrogance.

The man only smiled at Kira’s words, “Come on, isn’t that just rude little rabbit?” He replied with an ironic tone. “Oh, is that your new recruit?”

Bringing up this subject, Kira showed a huge grin as the men before her still didn’t know about this small group’s terrifying strength.

“Huhu~ That’s right.” She proudly answered.

Hearing the confidence in the rabbit’s voice, the man’s face turned sour. He obviously knew Kira for some time for now and knew that she wasn’t someone capable of telling a lie.

“Good, very good! Then I hope Saviors will be able to become a challenge in our next battle.” He arrogantly said as he glared at everyone, and in particular at Irsteal who looked like the strongest in the party.

Shina’s eyes narrowed as she looked at the arrogant man, from his words it was obvious that he is a member of the opposite guild. A member of the people who kept cruelly attacking a weak guild.

Moreover, he was indirectly insulting all of them, his words were the equivalent of saying that even if they tried their best, they were still too weak to change the issue of the next battle.

The two opposite group were glaring at each other, but a loud laugh broke the atmosphere.

“Kuhahaha~ We will try our best on the battlefield.” Irsteal heartily said as he was giggling.

The man snorted as he didn’t appreciate Irsteal’s attitude and walked past the group.

“Hmph, in the end only garbage come out from a trash can.” The young man intentionally mumbled in a tone loud enough for them to hear.

Seeing the group leaving, the party quickly left in the direction of the merchant street.

“Who is he?” Shina asked as she remembered the disgusting attitude of the arrogant man.

Kira made an ugly expression as she remembered the scene, “He leader ‘Spider’s Venom’ of the sub-guild of one a large guild named ‘Black Widow’. He is the reason why we have to live in this condition.”

At this point, everyone shared a similar feeling. “I want to meet here on the battlefield.” They all though with a little smirk.
