Estiel : " So this is a dungeon ! "

Estiel was the most excited about exploring a dungeon, even through she is older than me she is really childish... wait, aren't we still children ? Must be why I am a little excited too.

We arrived in front of the entrance of the dungeon, it was a big black gate which led to a cavern. There aren't many dungeon in the world and only one or two were completely explored.

A dungeon is the treasury of the wizards of an older race than human, angel or demons; it is said that they lived together with the dragons. One of them apparently offended the Dragon King from that era which led to a war. It was of course the win of the dragons who exterminated their entire race.

Or at least this is what we learned in school, those information were found in a ruin somewhere; only a dragon would be able to confirm the truth... and their pride don't allow them to answer the question of what they call the 'inferiors races'.

Those wizard were supposed to be the most powerful wizard of their era and imprisoned many monster inside the dungeon to protect their treasure from any intruders. Only a few dungeon were completely explored, some led to big treasure which made the adventurers rich.

But the treasure hid in a dungeon isn't the only thing worth; the monsters also bring an income. The parts of some monsters are used to make armors, weapons or medicine, we won't explore all the dungeon but only the firsts rooms.

A dungeon is like a labyrinth, it is composed large rooms who each lead to a different room; each rooms are different, you can find monsters, traps, monsters nest any room.

Shina : " You didn't forget the map right ? " I asked Fiona.

Even if the dungeon isn't fully explored, the twenty first room were drawn on map which anyone could buy to the Guild. The drawing was rough and made hastily, because of that the price was really cheap.

Fiona : " I got it here. " She said taking it out of one of the bag we received when we left the elven's village.

Estiel : " Today is our first time so we have to be careful, let's try to fight against a little group of goblins to start. They are a must for beginner ! "

Goblins are D ranked monster who rely on numbers to overpower their opponents, but alone they are weak and often hunted by beginner to experience their first death fight.

Shina : " Let's hurry then ! " I said entering the black gate first.

When I entered, the first room was some ruins where many adventurers were discussing and resting. We of course aren't the only ones in the dungeon, we can find many blacksmith or cook in this room who make some money by repairing or cooking for the adventurers.

We advanced through the ruin and continued and went to the third room, this room was immense. It couldn't be qualified as a room anymore, it was a small forest.

Fiona : " This room is named 'Forest of the Slimes', we should start with them before going to the goblin's room, their core sell at a good price. "

Shina: " Seems interesting ! " I said excited, in games the slimes are the weakest enemy and are pretty cute. I love their little eyes the most !

We entered the forest and looked for some slimes and we quickly found them but... what is that ?!

The slime is the a 50 cm viscose ball who leave a trail behind him when he move, this thing is destroying my cute image of a slime. It doesn't even have eyes, just a little ball inside or him constantly moving.

Shina : " It's kinda... "

Estiel : " Yeah I know, I didn't expect it to look like that, I don't really want to fight it anymore. "

Shina : " Fiona, you wanted to fight them so we leave them to you, good luck ! "

Fiona : " WAIT ! I can't fight them on my own ! You guys have to help me ! "

Shina : " Fine... "

Kiel : " Mistress... Can you use me as a bow ? I think I would throw up if I were to enter it's body. "

Shina : " Sure, it would also be better for me if I don't approach it. "

The first slime was taken down by Eniel while we were all talking, she used her right katana who was imbued with ice magic to freeze the slime and then broke it without damaging the core.

Estiel and Fiona were fighting together with Nuya's help; while Estiel was distracting the slime, Nuya froze it and Fiona aimed at the core.

As for me, I just used Kiel in a bow form and launched many arrow made of Dark mana who absorbed the body of the slime until it couldn't maintain it's form. It's been a while since I made arrow out of mana, I can only do it with Kiel.

Our hunt went very well, we spent some hours hunting the slimes one after another; until we came across a giant blue slime of around 2 meters.

Fiona : " It's a Blue Slime King, it's nucleus is really expensive; with that we can cover half of the map's price ! "

Estiel : " Don't let it escape ! "

Estiel and Eniel encircled the Slime King to distract it, Nuya and Eniel used their ice attacks but... it was useless, the slime wasn't even a bit frozen.

Fiona : " Be careful, Blue Slime are insensible to ice magic ! "

I fired many dark arrow to the slime who did some damage, but it wasn't really big; but he started to bleed some of his liquid. Eniel and Estiel's attack were unable to hurt it, when their sword cut through him, the wound just closed itself; for some reason only my attack were able to make him bleed.

The Slime King shifted his attention to me, I was the only one able to hurt him and so his only danger. He slowly moved toward me and some tentacles came out of his body, trying to whip and grab me.

I imbued my body of wind mana and dodged each of them but unlike him, his tentacles are very fast and more and more continue to come after me. Kiel changed into a sword and I slashed through the slime's tentacles; at each slash I could hear in my head the Kiel crying.

Everyone tried what they could to wound the slime, but it was useless; the slime could only be wounded by magic and their magic wasn't really strong.

Each time I cut a tentacles, more came to me; slowly the slime's wound started to regenerate. I made a wall of earth between us to give me the time to infuse Kiel with Dark mana; but suddenly my body was suddenly suspended in midair.

Shina : " KYAAAAAH !! " I unintentionally yelled while pinning down my dress.

The remain of tentacles of the slime gathered together and formed a small tentacle who grabbed my ankle, the slime didn't wait for me to calm down and encircled my body with it's tentacles.

It felt horrible, I couldn't move and the tentacles were leaving a liquid on my body; Estiel and Fiona were just staring at me blankly.

Eniel's expression totally changed, the slime's tentacles some stiffened under her stare; I felt shiver when I looked at her, she was emitting a cold aura, but I knew it was just an impression.

Eniel : " She is mine...How dare he... Kill... KillKill !! "

Eniel's left katana was enveloped by a small amount of wind, this wind moved faster and fasted. Eniel then stepped forward and swung her katana vertically at the slime, it simply passed through the slime's body and released a shock wave who cut it's body in half.

She however didn't stop at that and unleashed a flurry of slash, the slime was cut in many different part and I fell to the ground. Eniel ran to me and caught me before I hit the ground.

Eniel : " Are you okay ? " She gently said, I couldn't restrain my tears from falling of my eyes.

Shina : " It felt gross and horrible " I said hugging her as hard as I could.

I had the power of breaking free by myself, but when he grabbed me I couldn't think straight, I just felt like crying because of the aftershock.

Eniel : " It's okay now... Good girl... " She said as she patted my head.

Shina : " I feel tainted... " I said looking at her face.

Eniel : " You aren't tainted... And no matter how tainted you become, I'll always be by your side. Always... As long as I am by your side it will be alright... " Her dazzling smiling face dispersed all my shame.

Estiel : " Is she trying to brainwash her ? "

Fiona : " I don't know, but it would be better to not interfere here " I only heard Fiona and Estiel whispering, but I ignored them.

Estiel : " Shina, are you sure you are okay ? "

Fiona : " We don't have to continue you know ? "

Shina : " I am fine, you don't have to worry; let's just continue. "

After the Slime King event, we continued through the forest killing every slime we came across and used the east's door which led to the goblin's room.

The goblin's room is an immense cavern, it was a labyrinth with many goblin wandering around.

It wasn't too hard to find goblin, even through there were many adventurers roaming, the goblin were in abundance.

We quickly found a group of thirty goblin, their skin were green at the exception of one of them whose skin was purple. It was a dark goblin which is a variant, he is generally stronger than normal goblin and their leader. Their size is around Eniel's one; around the one of a eight years old child.

Most of them are using spear, this weapon is the easier to use for beginner and the harder to fight against.

I fought together with Estiel against the majority of them, letting Estiel and Fiona take a little group of them to get used to a real fight.

Estiel and I don't really have a strategy, we slash at every enemy who come at us and when someone is in dangers, we protect each other.

Estiel and Fiona paired and managed to take out 8 goblin by them self; Estiel is fighting the goblin one against one and showing many opening.

But it's a part of their strategy, those opening are used to make the goblins think they will be able to hurt them, when they are about strike they drop their guard. At that moment, an arrow enter their head, finishing them before they could really attack Estiel.

The most surprising one were Pan and Nuya, they managed to take down 5 goblin by them self in an instant.

Nuya's magic is nothing to laugh at, she can fire little ice darts in continuous which is really effective against a group; even if it doesn't always kill an enemy, they are gravely injured.

Meanwhile Pan simply fly toward any injured goblin and killed it by biting it in the throat, he is sometimes hit by the goblin's spears but it doesn't have any effect against his scale. He is also protecting Nuya when a goblin is trying to attack her by throwing a fire breath, it doesn't instantly kill the goblin but it severely burns him.

After killing the whole goblin's group, we cut their right ears; it is the proof that we managed to kill a goblin.

Shina: " That wasn't as hard as I thought, but it was awesome ! "

Estiel : " It's because you two's strength is monstrous, are you really younger than me ? "

Shina : " I am, you'll have to work hard to become as strong as us ! " I said tapping her cheek with my finger.

Estiel : " I am not sure that I will be able to beat you even in twenty years... "

Shina : " *fufufu * Keep trying ! " I said while showing an arrogant smile.

We kept roaming in the forest hunting goblins and managed to slay five others group, between each fight we took a break to let Estiel and Fiona rest. After each fight, Pan enjoyed a little meal made of goblin; lately he keep eating more and more even through he doesn't seem to grow. He eat at least 5 goblin after each fight while his is small and light enough to rest on my head without disturbing me.

After hunting goblins for all the morning, we managed to gather enough ears to buy a map in only one day, we were lucky enough to encounter groups of goblins one after another without being interrupted by some adventurers.

Pan may be able to eat goblin's meat, but it is not the others case; it was already noon and everyone was hungry. We walked back toward the entrance of the room with our bags full of loot, but I felt we were followed by a group of people.

As time went, the group became larger and larger exceeding thirty peoples; Eniel also detected them and looked toward me to confirm it.

Shina : " Behind us at eight hours, we are followed by a group of around thirty peoples; they may attack us at any time. " I muttered toward the others.

Fiona : " What are their goal ?! "

Eniel : " It's our loots, they want it. "

Estiel : " They are going to attack us just for our loots ? " She said lowly, but her voice contained anger.

Shina : " Let's try to lose them by running in the cavern. " I suggested.

After walking for some more minutes, their group was now of forty bandits; they may have witnessed our battle from earlier and wait for more peoples until they are sure to take us out.

We arrived in front of two path, the one on the left led to the a small area near the door of the first room, while right one led to another area.

We suddenly started to run, taking the left path and made a earth wall behind us, blocking the way. But what we didn't predict was that they had another group waiting for us in that way.

Some of them were armed with crossbow... they are going so far to rob a group of kid.

Estiel : " Aren't you ashamed to go so far ?! Cowards ! " She yelled, not able to contain her anger anymore.

Bandit Woman : " Look like that girl got a sharp tongue, don't you understand your situation ? " Said one of them, it was a fat demihuman with cheetah ears and tail whose size was comparable to the one of those uncles at the Guild bar.

Estiel : " All what I see is a group of cowards who went with more than sixty peoples to rob a group of four child. "

Bandit Woman : " Who would resist when seeing a group of kids accompanied by a sacred baby dragon and a rare fairy; their prices would be enough for us to buy half of Delfia. "

Estiel : " Once again it's her fault... " She said as she sighed, Fiona only nodded.

Eniel : " As expected of my sister... " Eniel smiled as she muttered those words

Bandit Woman : " Now, will you give us the dragon or would you prefer to be hurt ? "

Nuya : " Come take me if you dare you ugly gorilla, you are so ugly your friends pushed your face in the dough to make gorilla cookies ! You are a living proof of god's humor ! "

Shina : " Prepare to run. " I whispered.

Bandit Woman : " You little... FIRE ! " She yelled to the men with a crossbow.

I erected another earth wall who blocked all the arrow, we were now trapped between my two walls with bandits waiting for us at each side.

Shina : " Nice one Nuya ! " I complimented her on her reply.

Nuya : " Ehehehe, thanks you Mistress. "

Estiel : " Morons... "

Fiona : " That was low... "

I made a hole in the wall at our left, it was connected to the second path which led deeper in the labyrinth; we couldn't wait, the air was blocked by the walls.

Bandit Woman : " You can't escape ! Surrender now and we'll let you go safely ! "

We quietly sneaked through the way, avoided the bandits and went deeper in the dungeon. But before leaving I closed the hole behind us to make them think we disappeared, it would be troublesome if they chased us after seeing the hole.

We passed encountered many goblins group, but fighting became harder and harder for most of us, only I and Pan were okay. Pan just ate every goblins we came across to replenish his energy while I didn't really need to eat, everyone else were tired and hungry.

After walking for half an hour we decided to take a break, I made a hole in the dungeon to make a shelter to keep us safe while we rest, only letting the top of the shelter open to let the air and light come in.

We ate a part of our provision and discussed a little about what to do. Our best option was to wait until the the bandits discovered we escaped and give up.

Pan was playing around digging in the ground and wall, but a red light came from wall where he was playing.

Shina : " Look at this ! " I said curious about what he found.

After observing the thing more closely, it was something made of a red metal, we digged a little more and it seemed to be a big red door. "

Fiona : " It can't be... Is it a secret room ? " She said with a mix of astonishment and happiness in her eyes.

Shina : " It means that it was never explored before right ? It may be full of treasure. Good job Pan ! " I said excited by Pan's discover, petting his head, he seemed really happy about this.

Estiel : " We should be careful, we don't know what may be behind. Maybe we shouldn't enter. " Her voice however wasn't the one of someone scarred but excited.

Fiona : " Why are you saying that while showing a big smile ? You body can't stop shaking from excitement. " Fiona said teasing her.

Estiel : " I-I am not excited ! I am just cold here. "

Shina : " Let's go, hurry up ! "

We opened the door and carefully entered it, it was a small room of about 10x10 meters with a small red orb on a pedestal in the center of the room.

We slowly approached the pedestal looking for any trap, but there weren't any. The small red orb was shining of a beautiful color, but nobody tried to take it.

Estiel : " Should we take it ? " She asked somewhat hesitant.

Fiona : " With our loot, we will have enough gold to travel to the next town... However it may help to have some extra gold, we can also share it with Frey's group. "

Estiel somewhat convinced by Fiona's words extended her hand toward the orb.

Kiel : " Mistress, I have a bad feeling. "

Shina : " STOP ! " I screamed after noticing a detail we missed when we entered the room.

The pedestal was surrounded by a big magic circle who was covered by the ground; it was hard to notice but it was here. Estiel surprised unintentionally grabbed the orb which started to shine even brighter.

The magic circle started to shine too in a red light, it slowly turned in a blue light who blinded us.

When the light started to disperse, the room went back to its original state, the only difference was that now the red crystal was reduced to dust within Estiel's hand.

Estiel : " What happened ?! "

Fiona : " I don't know, but let's get out of here. "

Shina : " Wait. " I said looking at some writing on the top of the red door. They weren't there before when I looked around the room.

I never saw those writing, but I was able to translate them because of my Ancient Language.

Shina : " It's written 'Welcome to the 25th room.' "

Estiel : " Seriously ?! Wait, how can you read that ?...Oh right, you are Shina, why I am I surprised ? "

Fiona : " This floor was explored up to the 13th room, and in those rooms you can find B ranked monster. We now don't have a map so we are lost, and the chance of having monster of minimum A rank is high... " She said dropping her shoulder while facing reality.

Nuya : " Mistress Mistress, are we going to die here ?! " She asked with tears in her eyes, pulling my sleeve.

Shina : " No, as long as we are all still alive we can survive. " I said affirming my opinion, we won't die here.

Eniel : " We only have to act carefully and explore the rooms, Shina can make a shelter for us to rest. "

Estiel : " What about food ? It won't even last two days. "

Shina : " We will have no other choice than eating monsters meat. "

Estiel : " I see, we will have to fight against monster to eat them and sleep fearing they will attack us everynight... We stepped into hell. "

Fiona : " We should explore the area and check monsters levels. "

After walking a few minutes in what seemed to be a dark cave illuminated by crystal shining with a weak cyan light. We quickly came across a monsters, it was a large black wolf with shining yellow eyes, he stared at us. He was around 1,8 meters large, much larger than us, his black fur covered with countless scars seemed to shine when illuminated by the crystal's light. At each breaths, a purple fire came out of his mouth which were armed with big sharps fang.

Shina : " Do you know what monster it is ? " I said to Fiona without breaking eye contact with the monster.

Nuya : " It's scary ! " She said before hiding in my dress and Pan left my head to let me fight more efficiently.

Fiona : " I never saw a monster like that in any book, be careful. "

The monster seemed to be thinking, I don't think he ever saw humans coming so far before. He was hesitating to attack, he howled before attacking; it was a powerful howl who surely could be heard within a few hundred meters, it made us somewhat dizzying.

The monster ran toward us at a frightening speed, I was already armed with Kiel in her bow form since we left the previous room, I quickly launched many Light arrow toward the wolf.

The light in the cave wasn't really strong, my arrow blinded him and Eniel took the opportunity to slash at him, but her swords didn't pass through his fur. When he tried to counter, Nuya used her ice magic to freeze the monster's legs, but one of his paw wasn't frozen and hit Eniel, sending her against a wall.

It then only stared at his legs and with what seemed to be a 'Hmph' just breathed a purple fire out of his mouth to his legs.

They weren't damaged by the fire and were completely free, while he was busy with Nuya and Eniel I gathered both Light and Dark mana in my arrow. It started glowing with a golden light before being recovered by a crimson aura, I fired the arrow toward the wolf.

His body suddenly stiffened before dodging by jumping at the right, but the arrow was too fast and managed to take out his front left leg, he was rapidly lost his blood. The black wolf still didn't give up and got on his three remaining legs like nothing ever happened, he was just glaring at me with in his eyes a mix of hatred and respect.

With one jump, he closed the distance between us with one leg missing and tried to land a strike with his remaining front paw; Kiel transformed into a sword and I blocked his paw. Kiel was so sharp that it managed to cut even an claymore in half with only one strike, but this wolf's fur was so thick and resistant that Kiel only went through 5cm into his flesh.

The strength behind his attack threw me to the ground with him mounting me, he was going to finish me by aiming at my neck with his large fang, but behind was Eniel was running with her wind infused katana, but she wouldn't make it in time.

Suddenly an arrow entered the monster's eye making it howl in pain, it was Fiona who even while trembling violently and sweating, she had difficulty to breath; she was afraid of the monster.

While looking from where the arrow came from, he saw Eniel running at him and felt a danger coming from her blade. It tried to move backward but I didn't let him do so.

Shina : " FREEZE !! " Using Ancient Language, I froze the ground around us, delaying him for a fews second.

But wasn't enough for Eniel to strike him successfully, I reinforced the ice which immobilized him by adding more magic; Nuya also came out of my clothes with tears running out of her eyes and used her ice magic to help me.

Nuya : " I won't let anyone die !! " She said crying all the tears of her body.

Eniel ran toward the black wolf and slashed aiming at it's head, it tried to kill her by using his purple flame, but it only warped around the wind of her sword. Her sword came down and separated his head it from his body; with his three remaining paw frozen he couldn't even dodge.

I got up and ran to Eniel, she took a direct blow from the monster and was the most hurt compared to me who was only maintained to the ground.

Shina : " Are you okay Eniel ?! " I almost yelled to her full of worry.

Eniel : " I-I am fight, don't worry it's just some bruise. " She said smiling to me.

At this moment, when we were relieved from defeating the monster, we heard some growls coming toward us.

After a few seconds we were surrounded by twenty more black wolf like the previous one, but they seemed to be a little smaller and with less scars; it may have been their leaders.

They were all growling at us, not even trying to hide their blood thirst; only one of them almost killed them, a group of them would be impossible for us to beat. Two of them jumped to us with their mouths wide open, showing us their large fang.

But at our surprise, the wolfs fell to the ground, one of them had his body cut in half while the other his head separated. A man appeared in front of us, it was an old man with pointy eyes white hairs and a long beard, armed with a sword tainted with the monster's blood; but the most surprising thing was his skin color, it was blue. The wolfs stared at him with fear in their eyes and slowly stepped back, when they were far enough they all ran away.

The man turned to his and smiled.

Old man : " You are safe now, my name is Inkvir and I am a Vec, the only Vec remaining in this world. "
