Chapter 25 : Alone one

Chapter 25 : Alone one

"I knew this day would come, but I didn't think it would be this soon," in a long corridor, a group of people walked.

Leading them was the same friendly-faced priest who had escorted the young girl and Grake to the grand hall before. The corridor was the same one they had walked through previously.

"You must be quite confident in your almighty being to come here directly and declare war upon us without worrying about your life," the priest said as he walked at the front.

Behind him were the young girl and Grake, surrounded by a group of knights.

"We are not the ones asking for war. Your almighty being is the one preparing for that. We came here for peace!" the girl suddenly screamed at the priest, her previous calm demeanor nowhere to be found.

Grake held her close, trying to prevent any further outbursts.

"You must be joking, coming for peace after what you've done? The moment your higher-ups decided to make a part of our sanctuary disappear, the war was already decided," the priest said in a friendly tone.

Everything he said was delivered with a smile, and nothing he said seemed to anger or change Grake's demeanor. It was hard to become angry with him.

"Tch," with an annoyed expression, the young girl managed to calm down with Grake's help.

"And you must be very confident too, acting like you've already won the battle," she retorted, looking at the priest.

"Which priest doesn't have complete confidence in their almighty being? I am the same as others, having complete trust in our absolute being," the priest replied.

"You should be thankful to us for letting you go with your life intact. Maybe you already know, that there are a considerable number of people eager to see you suffer in this moment," the priest continued with the same friendly expression, walking forward as he spoke.

"But with our almighty being's orders, what can we do? Like I said, we have complete faith in them, so we can't defy their command even in our dreams," the priest said, his tone carrying a hint of sadness.

Hearing this, the girl's expression tensed slightly. It was true that with the declaration of war, there would be more than enough people willing to harm her and Grake at that moment.

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

If it weren't for the orders of their almighty being, perhaps they would have faced a different fate already.

After the priest spoke, the young girl remained silent and continued to walk behind him until they reached the outside of the sanctuary.

"Farewell, then. Let's hope we won't meet again," priest said after escort them out side "because the next time we meet, I won't be in these friendly terms with you all," he said thise while turning around and going back to the sanctuary. leaving the knights to watch over them.

With the priest gone, the young girl and Grake continued their steps toward the carriage waiting outside the sanctuary gate.

The coachman, who had been in conversation with the knight guarding the carriage, hurriedly stepped forward and opened the door for them to enter.

Than he quickly took his position and urged the horses to move.

"Hyah!" With a cracking sound, the carriage left the sanctuary behind, leaving only a trail of dust in its wake.

"Thud."

Inside the carriage, the young girl hit one of the seats hard, her expression conflicted.

"How disgraceful, the way I behaved, the way I spoke," the girl said with a tone of anger.

"I hate myself for the way I acted in front of them," she continued, her frustration evident.

"Calm down, Hara. What can we do? After all, the beings we met are among the strongest, on par with our Ascended one," Grake said in a reassuring tone, attempting to calm the girl down.

"Even I lost all of my courage in front of them; they are indeed on the same level as our almighty being," he continued.and at the time with her expression returning to normal, hara look toward grake.

"So, who do you think is the strongest?" Hara asked.

"You've been in the presence of our Ascended being before, right? So, who do you think is the strongest, judging from the feelings you felt from the two of them?" she inquired further.

"Humph," Grake replied with a mocking smile.

"Well, the Seven Lords of Salvation might be strong, but they are far inferior to our Ascended one.

You can't imagine the feeling you get when you're in front of the Ascended one. If measured It's about more than twise the pressure that emanated from the Salvation Lords," Grake explained.

"Then are you saying that our Ascended beings are the strongest among the two?" Hara asked.

"Based on how I felt, yes, our Ascended ones are stronger than them," Grake replied, confirming his belief in the strength of their own Ascended beings.

"But the outcome can't be assured, because while our Ascended beings might be strong, don't forget the fact that they have seven almighty beings, and on our side, we only have six," Grake pointed out.

"It's only a one-number difference, what's one being gonna do alone?" Hara replied.

"Don't say that. Who knows, maybe the extra one might be the one to turn the table at the last moment," Grake said in a enigmatic voice, hinting at the potential importance of that additional being.

He recalled how he had felt towards the seven salvation beings.

To him, each of them had a distinct aura.

One was prideful, another exuded incredible beauty, one seemed always lazy, and one had eyes only for valuable things in the hall. There was also a mysterious one who concealed their face behind a mask, each bearing their unique presence and characteristics.
