Chapter 14 : Declaration

Chapter 14 : Declaration

As the brilliant sun in the sky, akin to a fiery yellow ball, descended below the horizon, it made way for the blood-red moon to ascend into the night sky.

In the depths of midnight, Elder Wandor and the rest of the group finally arrived at the main sanctuary.

Their journey had left them weary, and upon their arrival, they immediately sought rest.

After a period of recuperation, they set about their customary tasks, diligently preparing for the impending morning when Incarus was scheduled to convene a grand gathering of all the Seven Deadly Sins the Almighty Beings.

The anticipation of the forthcoming event lingered in the air, driving their preparations with a sense of urgency.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Gaya remarked as she approached Ronald, who was busy assisting the workers with their tasks.

"It certainly is," he replied, his gaze fixed on the unusual blood-red moon. The moon they typically observed was the blue cloud moon, and the appearance of this crimson hue was a rare occurrence.

Such a sight was often associated with impending catastrophes that could turn the land into a battlefield.

"It almost looks as if it's warning us about the future," Ronald continued, contemplating the meaning behind the unusual celestial display.

"Warning us about what?" Gaya inquired, her expression puzzled.

After Ronald finished helping the workers, he gestured for Gaya to take a stroll with him. The red moon cast an eerie crimson glow over everything, enveloping them all in its otherworldly radiance.

"Didn't I tell you?" Ronald inquired of Gaya as they walked.

"People from the Ascend Theocracy have arrived," he continued.

"What? They did?" Gaya asked, taken aback.

"For what purpose did they come here?" she inquired further.

"I don't have the full details, but it appears they seek peace with us," Ronald replied.

Gaya fell silent for a moment, recollecting the harrowing incident where she had almost been violated by them.

The trauma still haunted her, and she grappled with whether they truly deserved peace or war.

"Of course, we have no intention of making peace with them," Ronald stated, hoping to offer Gaya some reassurance.

"And when the war comes, I'll bathe in their blood. Ah, my sword longs for a bloodbath," he declared menacingly, his words underscored by the eerie crimson glow of the moon, casting a malevolent aura around him.

As the crimson glow of the red moon gradually faded, the ever-glowing sun made its descent, casting its radiant light across the entire land.

In the grand main hall of the sanctuary, elders, high-ranking officials, and other important figures had gathered, including Head Knight Ronald and Head Priest Gaya.

They were all attired in the most dignified and respectable attire they could find, each in a position of anticipation.

Suddenly, Incarus and the others entered the room, adorned in clothing that exuded a regal aura, instantly demanding the respect of anyone who laid eyes upon them.

They proceeded toward the seven formidable thrones, which Khanel and the others had managed to install within the grand hall.

The air was thick with expectation as they approached.

Walking toward the thrones, they took their seats upon them and surveyed the sea of faces before them. In this moment, all the individuals in front of them knelt in reverence, not daring to lift their heads or meet their gaze.

"Raise your heads," Incarus commanded with his deep, majestic voice, a resonance that permeated the entire hall.

At his words, every one of them raised their heads, meeting the gaze of the Seven Deadly Sins and awaiting their next words with bated breath.

Incarus and the others occupied thrones constructed entirely from stone, yet their durability seemed otherworldly, exuding an ancient aura.

In this moment, Incarus reclined in his throne, his posture erect with the backrest of his throne, his arms resting gracefully on the horizontal armrests.

His penetrating gaze was enough to compel silence from the entire hall.

"Tell us, who, we are," he commanded.

The hall fell into a hushed silence for a few moments, but then Elder Khanel spoke up.

"My lord, you are the Mighty Absolute Beings of this world, the ones who saved us from the demon race through your divine blessings. You hold the highest authority in this sanctuary, known as the Seven Lords of Salvation."

"We place our unwavering faith in you, and our devotion to you is boundless," he declared, his voice carrying through the room.

Not a single sound arose from the room, signifying that every individual present acknowledged the significance of Khanel's words and their unwavering allegiance to the Seven Lords of Salvation.

Incarus and the others exchanged glances, and then Incarus spoke, his voice commanding the attention of the gathered crowd.

"Excellent. We acknowledge your unwavering devotion to us, and as you wish, from this point forward, we shall rule over this sanctuary," Incarus declared, his eyes sweeping over the assembly.

"that's our greatest pleasure , my lord," Elder Khanel said, promptly returning to his kneeling position.

Simultaneously, the entire assembly echoed his sentiment, expressing their gratitude and submission to their new rulers.

In that very moment, Incarus felt something stirring within him, an awakening of sorts.

His entire body seemed to emanate a hazy, golden aura. Sensing this transformation, Incarus closed his eyes and delved deep within himself.

He absorbed the pride that defined him, embracing it fully.

The overwhelming sensation of his sin's power coursed through his being, and in that moment, he relished the pinnacle of his existence, basking in the extraordinary feeling that engulfed him.

At that very moment, as Leviathan observed Incarus, he too sensed a profound awakening within himself.

A dark green aura began to radiate from his body, enveloping him in an eerie hue.

Leviathan, feeling this transformation, swiftly closed his eyes, immersing himself in the sensation coursing through him.

Suddenly, his vision resonated with a haunting, black void.

At its center, an enigmatic, dark green, circular object emitted the very aura that had stirred something within him—an aura of envy that both fascinated and perplexed him.
