Volume 2 upgrade specialist interval chapter 36 - a new skill

Pluvia: hahahaha, that's the best thing. Here, let me give it to you.

Lowering her head, she placed the tip of her snout on my forehead. Like usual the information streamed into my head. With the increase in my mental processes, the information was sorted quickly and painlessly.

The skill was called draconic spirit summoning. It allowed me to use the spirits of dragons to summon them. According to the skill, the summoned dragon will be as strong as I am up until it reaches it's original strength. This was the reason Pluvia was so happy. With this I could summon her into the real world.

Solomon: oh, so this is why you are so happy. I can summon you with it.

Pluvia: that's right, and the skill uses a one-time cost. So long as I don't die I will remain in the real world.

From the enthusiasm in her voice, she was very happy to escape dragon's fire. Then again if I had been locked in a book for ages, I would probably be the same.

Solomon: all right then. I'll try it out now.

Having done all I needed in dragon's fire I left. Standing up in the meditation room, I held out my hand.

Solomon: draconic spirit summoning

As I used the skill, all of the qi I had just recovered disappeared. With a huge flash of light Pluvia appeared before me, Though her appearance was very different. Standing at 5 and a half meters tall and 10 meters long she was the size of a horse. Her usually resplendent white scales no longer shone with strength.

They now were a dull white, though that's not to say they were weak. She also had long wings spreading out from her front shoulders. Her eyes however, were still the same bright blue, conveying an air of wisdom.

Solomon: wow, you're really here.

Pluvia: aaagh, it feels good to be free.

Spreading out her wings, she stretched outwards.

Solomon: aargh.

Kneeling I felt the effects of my loss of qi. Losing all of it at once had a great effect on me.

Pluvia: oh, sorry. I forgot to mention it takes all of your qi.

Solomon: I, it's all right. Just, give me a moment.

Walking over to me, Pluvia placed her head onto mine. With the contact a flood of qi entered my body. Once it had stopped, half of my qi had returned.

Pluvia: there you go.

Stepping back, Pluvia's strength seemed to have weakened.

Solomon: won't this effect you. You should keep it.

Having given her all of my qi, I worried not having it all would permanently weaken her.

Pluvia: don't worry about it. As long as I don't die I can recover it.

Solomon: huh, you can cultivate.

Hearing this I was very surprised. If that was the case, with her knowledge, she could easily surpass me. Then I would have a strong ally to help me.

Pluvia: I can, however, my strength cannot surpass yours.

Though this wasn't the best. It was still a great skill. This meant I now had another ally that was equal to my strength. If you counted her experience she was definitely stronger than me.

Solomon: that's great. Well, let me introduce you to the team.

Walking out of the meditation room followed by Pluvia, I planned on explaining dragon's fire to the team. Though I had planned on telling them before, I had never got around to it. Telling Pluvia to wait in the large hall, I entered the resting room.

Alice: ah, you're done?

Solomon: I am, how long was I in there.

This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.

As I hadn't added a clock to any of the other rooms, I was unsure how long my breakthrough took.

Alice: it's been five hours. I was about to go check on you.

Solomon: argh, sorry about that. Actually, something happened. I've got some things to explain.

Calling over Gareth I began to explain the dragon's fire to them.

Solomon: so to start, when we first went to the market I bought a book. Though the guy sold it for cheap, it seemed to be extremely rare. After coming back I opened it. When I did I was transported to another place.

Gareth: another place?

In a fast way I tried to explain the training room. I didn't want to leave Pluvia stood in the next room for long.

Solomon: a big cave with a lava pool everywhere except for a small island. Once I got there I was confused as to what happened. After a few minutes the lava began to bubble. From the lava a dragon came out.

I left a little pause to see how the most surprising part would sink in.

Alice: a dragon, like carbones.

From the expressions of the both of them, they didn't seem to question me. Seeing them both believe this made me happy I had such a trustworthy team.

Solomon: that's right, but this dragon was much stronger. At first I was afraid I would die, but then the dragon spoke. It said I had become the master of the book. It told me the book was called dragon's fire and that it was left for a person to inherit.

Thinking back I remembered that the book had been left by someone. Once again I was curious as to who could trap someone like Pluvia, But that was a thought for another time.

Solomon: after that she explained that she was a guide left by the maker of the book. After that she explained it had benefits to it. I can go in the book and cultivate, letting me grow stronger very quickly. It also gives me technique and skills.

Gareth: skills? Like from the exchange system.

Solomon: yeah, it's how I got my enchanting skill.

Gareth: damn, you're too lucky.

Even compared to the team I was considerably more lucky. In a team of monsters who got stronger faster than almost all other. I was too op. As someone who had been in domain a little over 2 weeks, I was already at the top of G rank. If the momentum continued I would become extremely strong very soon.

Solomon: haha, I guess I am. Anyway, this brings me to the main point. Just now in the meditation room, I broke through into the 3rd realm of qi cultivation.

Alice: oh, so that's why you feel so much stronger. Congrats.

Solomon: thanks. like usual, I got a skill for breaking through. It's called, draconic spirit summoning.

Turning around I opened the door to the hall room.

Solomon: Pluvia, come in.

Giving her the go ahead she walked into the room.

Seeing her both Gareth and Alice were shocked.

Pluvia: I am Pluvia, Solomons guide and teacher.

Gareth: it's an honour, I am Gareth.

Recovering first Gareth greeted Pluvia. His attitude had become extremely polite. Catching on Alice also greeted her.

Alice: I'm Alice, it's nice to meet you.

From the sudden change in attitude, it seemed both of them were nervous in front of Pluvia. Then again she was a unknown person as strong as me. Thinking that way it was understandable. Wanting to calm their nerves I spoke up.

Solomon: Pluvia, is there a way you can change how you look?

By talking to her normally, I hoped they would see she was friendly.

Pluvia: there is, but why do I need to look different?

Asking so she looked at me, tilting her head cutely.

Solomon: well, when we leave here it will be dangerous if you look like a dragon. If someone strong takes interest in you it could cause us trouble.

If she was seen as a pet, stronger guilds may try to steal her from us. So I thought it would be better for her to hide her true form.

Pluvia: okay, but if we need to fight, I will change back to my real form.

Agreeing to it, she started to activate a skill. As she did a white sheen of light erupted from her body. As the light grew in brightness I was forced to look away. A few seconds later, when the light had disappeared, I looked back at her. Standing before me was a completely naked woman.

With waist length pure white hair obscuring her body and bright blue eyes she looked like a fairy. Completely caught in the moment I continued to gawk at her, examining every aspect of her body.

Silky skin without blemishes. Ample breasts, causing a visible bump in the layers of hair. Long legs completely exposed.

After a few moment of gawking, I recovered myself. Moving quickly I took off my jacket, placing it around her. Being as I was so tall and she was quite short, the jacket covered her down to the knees.

Solomon: if you were going to become naked you should have warned us.

Even if my mindset had become numb to violence, the female body still had a great effect on me. After all, I was still a virgin.

Pluvia: but, I was naked before, I only changed my form.

In a technical sense that was true. However, in her dragon form, she wouldn't cause issues being naked.

Solomon: that's different. if you look like a human you should think of how others see you.

Alice: come with me, I'll give you some clothes to change into.

Grabbing ahold of her hand, Alice led Pluvia into the other room.

As she left she shot me a glare. Apparently, she had seen me gawking.

Gareth: damn, I thought you had done well with just Alice and Aries. Now I find out you were hiding a girl like that.

Solomon: what are you saying, it's not like that. I've never seen her like that before.

Once again Gareth thought I was purposely causing these situations.

Gareth: haha, alright alright. Anyway, it seems like your gonna have problems later though.

Based on Alice's glare earlier she was upset with me.

Solomon: haaah, well it's about time we leave. At least I can put it off for later. Once they're back we'll be leaving for the hotel.

A few minutes later both girls came back into the room. Pluvia was now wearing some of Alice's clothes. Because she was much smaller they didn’t fit properly, hanging loose. In the future we would need to get her some clothes, but it would do for now.

Solomon: okay, it's time we leave. We need to get back to the hotel so we can sleep. After finishing the mission other than a few brakes we had not rested. Still glaring at me I could tell Alice was upset, but she left it for now.

Happy having avoided that bullet I talked to guild bot.

Solomon: send us back to domain.

Once again the instant teleportation put us back in domain. Looking around we were back in front of the teleportation circle's.

Solomon: all right, let's get going.

Starting our walk we headed towards thervil's center. Having spent most of the first day back in the guild plane, it was the evening of the first day back.

After walking for 10 minutes a gang appeared before us. A group of 20 men holding weapons. At the front of them, a man in bland black robes stood forward.

Robed man: so you’re the guys who killed our men, we've been looking for you.
