Bowen made a list of different desserts to find one that was unique and unlike anything in Grimesphere. With Lydia's help, they found a dessert that they believed would be loved by everyone in Grimesphere.
What kind of dessert do children, adults, and old people all like? What dessert is usually eaten during celebrations? What could be a more exquisite gift for one's beloved? The answer is chocolate. Bowen discovered that chocolate didn't exist in Grimesphere. Instead, the sweets there were made mostly of sugar or fruits. Bowen decided to bring the popular sweet from Earth to Grimesphere. He drew a picture of a cocoa fruit and asked Lydia if there was something similar. Luckily, Lydia understood and told him about a fruit called rubery that tasted sweet and tart with a slight sour taste. People didn't like it much, so it was mostly eaten by wild animals or used as animal feed.
Bowen decided to buy rubery fruit seeds from a shop that sold animal feed. He also planned to go to Lamport to meet Rephal and exchange a gold coin for the Grace family sword. While walking through the busy market of Aswalt, Bowen noticed wanted posters on the town walls. Most of the criminals on the posters were from the Raven gang, the same gang he had encountered in the barn. The government was offering a reward of one large silver for each member of the gang caught and handed over. If they were caught alive, the reward was two large silvers. The leader of the Raven gang had a reward of 30 large silvers, dead or alive. Bowen remembered that he had killed three members of the gang when he fought with his father.
"I could earn some extra money by turning them in, but I might get in trouble if I do it myself... What should I do?" Bowen didn't want to attract the attention of the government or other members of the Raven gang. Just then, someone in a uniform stumbled over Bowen's feet.
"You bitch, how dare you stand in the way of a knight?" the person raised his hands to slap Bowen. Bowen was ready to block the incoming hit.
"You are not a knight yet, though." Bowen recognized the familiar voice of Xander. Hearing that, the person's hand stopped midway as he tried to locate the source of the voice. It was Xander who had come after seeing the commotion and, upon realizing that Bowen was in danger, ran to support him.
"Why are you getting involved in this? Don't you have your own task?"
"Of course, I am doing my duty here, protecting citizens from thugs," said Xander, stunning the other person in uniform.
"Are you referring to me as a thug? You really are bold, Xander."
"Well, if you, Mr. Gram, feel that way, then so be it. It's good that you at least now realize how rowdy your behavior is." Bowen chuckled at how Xander twisted the guy's own words.

"Xander, you will really pay for this. When I become a knight, you will be the first person I vent my anger on."
"Sure, sure, Mr. future knight. Do whatever you want when you become a knight. But for now, just act like a guard. Okay?"
"Just wait, both of you. I'll make you beg at my feet." The person, named Gram, angrily walked away.
Bowen asked Xander, "Uncle Xander, who was that?"
"He's a colleague of mine, but he's not very friendly. Be careful with people in uniforms. Not all guards will be nice to you like I am. Understand?" Xander warned Bowen, thinking of him as a young and innocent child who didn't know much about the world.
"Yes, Uncle, I understand. But why was he pretending to be a knight when he's not?"
"He's just delusional. He's going to marry the niece of a baroness, so he wants to become a knight through that connection. Some people try hard to climb up in life, while others try to take shortcuts through recommendations
"Hmph, just wait for your time, bitches. I will make you beg at my feet," said Gram angrily as he stormed away.
"Uncle Xander, who was that?" asked Bowen.
"He's a colleague of mine. But his behavior towards people is worse. Bowen, you need to be careful around people in those uniforms. Not every guard will be as friendly as I am. Do you understand?" warned Xander, looking at Bowen as a pitiful, innocent child who hadn't experienced much of the world yet.
"Yes, Uncle, I understand. But why is he claiming to be a knight when he's not?"
"Oh, that. He's just delusional. He's planning to marry the niece of a baroness, and he believes that will help him become a knight. Some people put in a lot of effort to climb up in life, while others try to take shortcuts through recommendations. It's unfair, isn't it? Why am I telling you all this? You're just a child, and you won't fully understand. Now, be careful on your way. If possible, have an adult accompany you next time," advised Xander as he went on his way for work.
What Xander said casually left a deep impression on Bowen's mind. It was true in any world he lived in. To smoothly accomplish his missions, he needed three things: money, power, and strength. He decided to make plans to acquire them.
**Ting** Hidden mission triggered - QUEST FOR MONEY (continuous mission)
**Ting** Hidden mission triggered - QUEST FOR POWER (continuous mission)
**Ting Hidden mission triggered - QUEST FOR STRENGTH (continuous mission)
[Three missions at the same time? What is a continuous mission?] Bowen clicked on the missions to learn more details.
